Chapter 2 - Starting Point - Part 2

*Felix Fellon POV*

*Location: Grand Line, Near Water 7*

*Date: June 21, 1519*

Once I was done admiring the open sea, I began dragging the various books/journals I think anywhere up to the surface, getting them all sorted out alongside a weird-looking map I found. One thing that stood out almost immediately was the gigantic red line that took up the middle of the map, which looked like it was still being added to, which looked familiar, but I still couldn't put my finger on it.

Anyway, I started reading through the journals/books trying to get a read on where I was, and well, I think the guy who put me here gave me another gift besides the system and species change. Right now, I was able to understand these guys' mad ramblings because it looked like they were just lost at first, but then the compass thing started going crazy.

So it all descended into chaos soon after, everyone was gunning for one another and killing themselves left and right. By the end of it, they pretty much threw themselves overboard after a...hailstorm or something like that. Pretty crazy weather when you're out in the middle of the sea. Sure, the weather can be pretty crazy in some places, but the way it described how quickly it shifted was insane to think about. That's when it all clicked together, the one phrase at the end of the navigator's journal.

"I suppose the Long Nose Pirates just weren't built for the Grand Line."

Dammit, why didn't I realize that? I mean, it was so obvious. The flag, the weird weather, and the gigantic red line were all massive clues. I mean, I've never heard it be called Blue Planet or something, but I'd reconcile this world anywhere. One Piece, that's the world I was in, a world of pirates, marines, and asshole nobles who call themselves rulers, alongside that one guy, the top of this world, Shadow King Imu. Just knowing I was now living in a world alongside that guy sent shivers down my spine.

I mean that guy was emotionally unstable to a huge degree that I don't think needed to be debated, alongside the celestial dragons. I mean, those people are the most arrogant, self-righteous, and just the worst. I mean, if people could, they would be hung immediately, or heck, I assume most people who like seeing them get their just desserts.

While it was nice to know what world I was in but I don't think that really explained where the heck I am. So I threw the book ad began rapidly reading through the various other ones, because god knows someone must've written down their destination at some point or another. I eventually came across a large black book with the pirates' Jolly Roger on it, and well, it was the captain's book. So I skipped right towards the end, thinking that must be where their recent entries are.

The problem was that it was a whole lot of mad ramblings, nothing really coherent beyond maybe a few words.

[Skill created Observation lv. 1: Gain basic information on an object by looking at it]

I guess even cliches have to happen every once in a while, and well, depending on the type of observation, I got it could be really useful or just a basic tool. Who knows, I could try combining it with observation haki to see if anything changed or if I unlocked a subset of it. Right now, though, that was a pipe dream, but anyway, getting back into it, I was able to find a piece of sane writing eventually near the first of the last twenty pages, I think.

It kept talking about getting a new ship to replace this old thing they were sailing on, apparently they were going to a place called...Water 7 wasn't that the place where Franky was living alongside Iceburg, and also one of the best places to get a ship made in the Grand Line. Guess that meant I was somewhere nearby, although I really hope I was drifting toward it so I could get some slice of civilization before I went crazy. I mean, it was honestly weird reading all of these journals. I mean, why did they go crazy in the first place? Getting the Log Pose, the thing seemed to be working fine and pointing in the direction the ship needed to go.

Now only thing that remained was, what the heck should I do now? I for sure didn't want to join the Marines in any shape or form; too much corruption for my taste. Bounty hunting might be fun, but maybe not in the long run. Then there was the series title for crying out loud, the One Piece, the thing both Gol D. Roger and Whitebeard died telling the world was a real thing. I mean, I died before I could learn just what the heck that thing was.

I mean, I could join a pirate crew, try to get a peek once they reached it, most likely the Straw Hats, but that didn't seem right to me. No I wanted to see the damn thing for myself and see just what the whole world is veying for, wanting to know what it is and why gettign the thing meant you were King of the Pirates, which sounds when weird when you think about it, I mean pirates havign a king when they were outlaws of the government but somehow it worked like that, probably something you'd have to be in the know to understand.

[Quest Completed: One's Starting Point]

[Rewards: 3 stat Points,+1 Random Skill Book]

[Congratulations, Host, you have picked your new dream/goal, now you must reach it]

[Basic Martial Arts Obtained]

When the quest notification was completed, I saw a weird red book drop into my hands that had that exact title on it. I could feel my eyes bulging in surprise seeing it alongside a new notification.

[Would you like to learn Basic Martial Arts?]

[Y/N?]

I immediately clicked on yes, and I could feel an odd feeling go through my body; my muscles started feeling like they were chock-full of energy. Heck, this is the best I've ever felt in my whole life, and the screen came back giving me a basic description of the skills.

[Basic Martial Arts Lv. 1: Gives the user a basic understanding of martial arts, allowing for better use of their body and improving their body]

Which was pretty cool, and the next thing on my to-do list was deciding where I should invest the three free stat points. Right now, since I didn't know if I could learn magic or something like that, I think it'd be best to invest two of the points into con, increasing my health, and one into strength, giving me better attack.

[STR: 10 + 1 = 11]

[Basic Attack Increased by 1]

[CON: 10 + 2 = 12]

[Health increased by 4]

[HP: 24]

Pretty nice to look at overall, and it was also nice to know that increasing my strength also helped out my damage output. I mean, sure, it was just basic attack, but it was still useful overall, although I do wonder if CON increased durability, if that was an entirely different thing, I mean I ight need to learn a skill that specifically does that or something.

Right now though today was a good day to start off my adventure in this world.
