Siegfried sprinted down the road.
As a descendant of the Honkai world's strongest warrior, his acceleration was astonishing, even exceeding the limits of what a normal human eye could track.
Like the difference between a high-speed rail and a conventional train, his immense velocity generated a powerful wind pressure that tugged at his surroundings.
If he had been running on the sidewalk instead of the street, people nearby would have been caught in the pressure and thrown violently to the ground.
But even though he was doing his best to avoid pedestrian areas, he was still affecting the environment.
The shorter ornamental plants along the road bent over in droves under the sudden force of the wind, and some even snapped in half, collapsing by the roadside.
Except for when he was hunting Honkai Beasts, Siegfried usually kept himself in check, never revealing his superhuman strength.
He knew that if he ever unleashed that power, even a fraction of it, it would cause immense harm to the people and things around him.
However, today's situation was truly special—so special that he was forced to break his own rule.
His daughter was being rooted up by some pig that had come out of nowhere!
They went out on the street, had some snacks, and then went straight to a hotel room.
Just as Raiden Ryoma had nearly lost his mind when he mistakenly thought Miss Mei had already been taken to bed, Mr. Siegfried was now also on the verge of going insane.
They've only known each other for a few days!
His own daughter just gave herself up like that?!
Every time he pictured the scene of his daughter following that supposed messenger of Otto's into a "Love Hotel" with almost no resistance, his heart seized with a sharp pang.
He wasn't against his daughter having a boyfriend. After all, Kiana wasn't a little girl anymore; falling in love was understandable.
But that guy was clearly connected to Otto, and could even be one of his direct subordinates!
Feeling that a major disaster was imminent if he didn't intervene, Mr. Siegfried quickly arrived at the love hotel from before and strode up to the front desk.
The receptionist looked at the one-armed man, his face dark and filled with what could only be described as murderous intent, and her expression turned to one of panic.
Is this some kind of enforcer from the yakuza?
However, her excellent training allowed her to barely cling to a shred of rationality. She managed to ask, attempting to start a conversation, "Excuse me, sir, can I help you?"
Siegfried did not answer the question.
He silently placed his hand on the marble countertop. Then, before the receptionist's horrified eyes, he broke off a corner and crushed it into dust.
"A little girl with white hair checked in here earlier," Siegfried said slowly after finishing his demonstration.
"Which room is she in? Tell me."
The receptionist stared at the stone that had been turned to powder, swallowed hard, and handed over a spare key card.
The guy she had run into today might not even be human. It was better to play it safe.
With the key in hand, Siegfried didn't hesitate. He rushed to the corresponding floor, found the right room, and stopped.
Staring at the closed door, Siegfried took a deep breath.
If possible, he really didn't want to appear before his daughter in his current state, but the situation was urgent, and he couldn't afford to be picky.
With that thought, he inserted the key card into the slot, pushed the door open, and took a step inside.
Then, he froze.
On the large, heart-shaped bed that dominated the center of the room, there was only one person.
It was a young man who didn't look very old, with slightly long black hair that had a jade-like luster and vivid red eyes that held a bewitching charm.
Without a doubt, he was a handsome boy who would likely be very popular with young girls.
If one were to ignore the handprint from a slap, clearly delivered by a girl, on his face and the sleeve that had been half torn off.
Feeling that something was not quite right with the situation, Siegfried glanced around.
Many objects in the room were clearly out of place, and several things had been smashed. Connecting this to the state of the young man before him...
Siegfried hesitated.
This scene looked like there had been a genuine fight, not a fight in bed.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Siegfried," the young man said, rubbing his face, all his composure gone. He had clearly gotten the worst of it in his fight with the enraged Miss Paramecium.
He had fought with Miss Paramecium for a while after running his mouth about wanting to pick up the young lady she had mistaken for her sister.
Because the distance was too close and he hadn't prepared any spatial magecraft in advance, he had suffered quite a bit.
Still, I don't think I came out on the losing end, the boy thought, glancing at his own palm. The slap mark on his face clearly wasn't from the altercation over the real Kiana.
Then, Siegfried spoke.
"Can you tell me where my daughter is?" Siegfried asked, his hand gripping the weapon known as the Might of An-Utu as he stared at the boy who was very likely Otto's messenger.
"That's something you should know yourself, isn't it?" the boy replied with a smile, his words frustratingly cryptic.
"As a mere outsider, I'm probably not as clear on these things as you are."
"What are you talking about?" Siegfried frowned, seemingly not understanding what the boy was implying. His grip on the Might of An-Utu tightened.
"Tell me where Kiana is."
"It seems you didn't understand what I was saying," the boy sighed, feeling that the difference between Siegfried and Raiden Ryoma was truly quite large.
Then, as if he had lost all interest, he pointed behind Siegfried.
Siegfried took a step back, putting some distance between himself and the potentially dangerous boy, and then turned his head.
The door to the room across the hall had opened at some point. A girl with beautiful white hair stood in the doorway, smiling at the boy opposite her.
What is going on?
Feeling that the situation was somewhat different from what he had imagined, Siegfried looked back and forth between the two of them, completely bewildered for a moment.
"Dad, you came to see me!"
Before he could even sort out his thoughts, the girl's energetic voice rang out.
She then started walking toward Siegfried, seemingly wanting to throw herself into his arms.
Watching his daughter run toward him, Siegfried subconsciously opened his only remaining arm.
And then—
A small fist tore through the air.
Like a battering ram used for sieges, monstrous strength, comparable to that of a Honkai Beast, was concentrated into a single point and slammed viciously into Siegfried's face.
Siegfried let out a muffled grunt. His entire body was sent flying backward like a kite with a snapped string, crashing onto the marble floor and cracking it.
"A scum of a father who can't control his lower half should just go and die!"
