Chapter 1: hauntings
Kaz sat at the edge of his bed staring at his wall with heavy bags under his eyes, his hair was wet and stuck to his face due to sweating. He looked over at the closet quickly when he heard noises coming from inside, he then heard a voice, "kazley" it whispered, kaz stood up and backed into the wall on the other side of the room grabbing his Bowie knife. Ok, bitch get the fuck out. Kaz holds the knife up and walks around the closet pointing it outward. He could feel his whole body shaking but knew he had to eliminate whoever… or whatever was inside his closet. He slowly crept towards the door and rested his hand on the knob, Kaz waited briefly listening for sounds but heard nothing. In an instant kaz swung the door open and charged in swiping the knife which lodged into the wall. Kaz paused for a moment confused to see nothing was hiding in the closet, he pulled the knife out and turned back around and his heart sank. Standing across from him on the other side of his bedroom was Roy, his eyes were missing and his face was covered in blood. "Lightweight," he said before laughing, his voice was different, it was lowered pitch which sent chills through Kaz's body, Kaz stood frozen clutching the knife tightly before he felt his vision fade in and out, and in seconds his vision went dark and he collapsed on the floor. Kaz awoke on the floor laying on his back, he slowly sat up and his head started hurting like he had just been struck with something heavy. He didn't know where he was until it suddenly hit him what he had just experienced before, he made his way to his feet to see his room completely normal and the morning light shining through the window lighting up his room. Kaz slowly walked out into the middle of his room and looked around, nothing looked out of the ordinary. He walked down the stairs into his bathroom and brushed his teeth, while he was brushing he couldn't get rid of the image of Roy standing in his room. After about 3-4 minutes kaz put his toothbrush away and walked back into his room and began getting his gym clothes ready, he packed his bag with his boxing gloves, mouth guard, tracksuit, and shorts. He had been training in boxing and judo for the past 2 years going to his gym every day in preparation for future encounters with the entities from the Forrest. He exited his duplex and walked to his motorcycle before getting on and driving away down the street.
Chapter 2: War Ready
Kaz pulls into the gym lot and parks up close to the building. He sits momentarily while his bike idles he looks around before turning it off and walking up to the entrance. Kaz opens the door and steps in getting hit with loud music as multiple guys are training and sparring. Hey kid how's your morning been? Kaz turns to see his coach approaching him, they dap each other up before Kaz responds. I'm alright man I've just been working and saving, that's good to hear I'll let you get warmed up and we can hit some pads after. Sounds good Kaz says before walking to a corner of the gym and sitting on a bench, Kaz opens his bag and takes out his hand wraps and gloves before he starts wrapping his hands. He hears footsteps behind him and he turns and looks up to see a tall ginger man standing over him, it is Monty Williams… he was a young boxer in his 20s who had won multiple medals and tournaments and he had a big issue with Kaz taking up more of coaches time. Did you forget about our spar scitzo? Monty says smiling. Kaz stands up and faces off with him looking up at him, he stands quite a bit over Kaz. I told you anytime anyplace, your Chuck Norris cosplay needs some work by the way man, Kaz says in a sarcastic tone but keeping a straight face. Monty grabs Kaz's collar and pulls him in, you got a mouth that doesn't fucking stop…I'll do you worse than the creepy ghouls did your friends Monty says glaring at him. It's like those big dramatic scenes on TV kaz whispers, is this the part where we kiss? Monty shoves him away while looking at him with disgust. Hey! You guys got an issue you know what we do here, settle it in the ring coach calls out. Monty calls back, no problem coach I'd be glad! Kaz finishes wrapping his hands and starts lacing his gloves, meanwhile, Monty steps up into the ring. Kaz turns after getting his gloves on and sees him bouncing up and down and shadowboxing, Montana's reach was long and notorious for having a shotgun jab. Kaz steps through the ropes and stares at Monty across the ring, they both stand in each corner stretching and preparing. Let's go boys! Coach says while ringing the bell, the two-step up to each other and begin squaring off trying to figure each other out. Kaz holds his hands up by his temple moving his head around while Monty keeps one hand by his head and the other extended outward. Monty pops out two jabs with the second one knocking Kaz's head back, kaz lunges forward and catches Monty clean on the jaw with a right hook which echoes through the gym. Oohhhh everyone says together out loud as the two continue to fight, you look goofy kaz says to him, it's pretty common with people who have mullets. Monty gets angry and begins throwing fast combinations at Kaz aggressively walking him down, Kaz switches to a Philly shell guard and begins defending. Jab, cross, hook, uppercut, Monty threw them all but missed, kaz lunges back to get distance from Monty before switching to a karate stance and begins bouncing on his feet. Monty bursts forward with a 1-2 combo and connects but Kaz throws a wild overhand left hitting Monty's jaw in retaliation before the two clinch. They break free and Kaz bounces around dodging quick jabs and hooks from Monty, Kaz hits a stutter step changing angles and stances multiple times quickly as he rushes in delivering a straight cross to Monty's stomach but he counters with a right cross of his decking kaz in the face. Kaz quickly moves back as Monty comes forward throwing a 4 punch combination landing every shot which drives Kaz into the corner, pillow hands! What Uber drivers did you face in those tournaments? Kaz says to him as he takes punches in the corner. Monty throws an uppercut but Kaz counters with a left hook hitting Monty's temple, Kaz tries to lunge back but gets caught with a right cross and Kaz goes down in a sitting position. Oohhhhhh everyone calls out as Kaz gets knocked down, yeah you like that shit fuckboy! Someone on Monty's team taunts Kaz. Kaz quickly gets up and the two square off again, monty does a faint jab and catches Kaz with another cross followed up by an uppercut sending Kaz into the ropes, kaz moves to the side trying to get distance but gets hit with another hook followed by another cross sending him bouncing off the turnbuckle, Kaz covers up as monty begins wailing on him with shots to the head and body 3..2..1 the bell rings ending the round. Monty smirks at Kaz before going back to his corner, not a lot of pop in those juiced-up arms! Kaz calls out as he walks to his corner. Shut the fuck up! Monty's trainer yells at Kaz in an angry tone, kazs trainer gives him some water before inspecting his face. You have some slight swelling under your eye already you gotta either keep your hands up or defend better. Kaz's trainers continue to talk to him as Monty stands up before the break is over, kaz stands up soon after and the bell rings. Knock him the fuck out, Monty! His trainer yells, kaz bounces in his karate stance and blitzes forward landing a straight right to montys stomach followed by a left hook to his temple. Monty backpedals as Kaz lunges forward and throws a wild whipping right over the hand that decks Monty in the side of the face, the small crowd ohs after the big shot echoing through the gym. Kaz comes in with a jab and throws a right cross but Monty counters with a right uppercut which knocks Kaz to the canvas on his stomach. The crowd cheers out as Monty begins showboating around the ring, kaz gets up and smiles at Monty, that's it? He says. Monty gets visibly enraged and charges at Kaz throwing power punches, kaz keeps his hands down and ducks and dodges all of montys punches, he counters a jab and lands a right uppercut to montys body, kaz follows up with a left uppercut to montys chin followed by a straight right and a left hook. Monty backpedals as his trainers scream, what are you doing! Stay on the outside! Kaz lands a double jab on him followed by a right hook to his body then landing a sharp right uppercut on his chin. Monty throws a right hook but Kaz ducks under it and lands a left hook of his own to montys temple sending him stumbling back. Kaz bursts forward and lands a huge overhand right on Monty's jaw which almost knocks him down sending him stumbling into the ropes. Monty rebounds off the ropes and walks right into a sharp left hook to his body followed by a right hook to his body and a right uppercut, kaz continues to chase Monty landing grazing shots when Monty counters with a straight right sending Kaz sprawling to the canvas. Kaz lies stunned on the floor momentarily before he gets up, his ears were ringing and his vision is blurry, he sees a faded blurred Monty coming forward and faintly hears the bell ring as he gets nailed with a hard right cross dropping him and making kazs vision go dark. Kaz slowly comes to raise his head and sits up, he sees his trainers and coach standing over him. You ate a hard one kid you alright? His coach asks, did you guys like my Marvis Frazier impression? Kaz asks with a smile, he has some blood streaming from his nose and mouth. His trainer slightly laughs, You're a psycho kid. His trainers help him up and guide him out of the ring and into the locker room, I'll get you some water I'll be back, his trainers leave the room momentarily with one of them coming back with a jug. Kaz sat on the edge of one of the benches drinking, I'll give some advice to all the readers at home, don't spar with a guy with a mullet who competed in tournaments, especially if he's ginger. Kaz stepped out into the parking lot heading to his bike when he saw 3 guys standing by it. It was Monty and two of his friends who also attended the gym, anytime you want a free ass kicking just let me know Kaz, because next time I'll end you quicker, and I'll take your soul. Yeah well, I could see why you'd want mine kaz says pointing at his hair, you really should cut that fucking mullet dude. Monty grabs Kaz's collar, you're mouthy for a guy who just got knocked out… before he could finish his sentence Kaz grabbed his collar and hit a floating drop judo move, he could hear Monty get the wind knocked out of him upon impact. His two friends charge Kaz but one goes down after Kaz wheel kicks him in the face, the other man starts throwing combinations at Kaz but he dodges them all and lands a sharp right hook knocking the guy out cold on the pavement.
Chapter 3: Progress
Kaz notices a flyer on a telephone post as he leaves, it is about a temple that dealt with cleansing evil out of places, he reads the flyer for a few seconds, I'll hit the bald spot, he says talking to himself before pulling out of the lot and driving down the street. He recognized the street the flyer said it was located so he made his way there off memory and got there in about 25 minutes. Kaz parked a decent bit away from the temple and looked at the surroundings, the temple was big and had a large garden around the sides of it, he kicked out the stand for his bike and began making his way up to the front doors. He walked inside and saw dozens of monks talking amongst each other and walking around, he noticed a podium with someone at a desk so Kaz approached it. Hello, sir how can I help you the man said in an accent, yeah I saw a flyer saying you guys deal with hauntings or something like that. Yes then you would be here for Mr Chiang, do you have an appointment? No no, just a walk-in, kaz responded, Ok I'll get your arrangement in and Mr Chiang will be with you shortly. Kaz walked over to a seating area and sat down, he looked around as people passed by him, this might just be one big gimmick, he thought to himself. After about 15 minutes he noticed a man approaching him out of the corner of his eye, kaz turned to see a bald monk with a beard in a black robe standing by him. Hello sir, you must be Mr. Everest I'm Zhong, walk with me… tell me your troubles. Kaz and Zhong walk down the temple corridor as Kaz gazes at the artifacts around him, so you have had encounters with these beings before? Zhong asks, yeah those pricks are obsessed with me, they're the IRS and I'm Al Capone… except these taxes are justifiable for evasion, you know eyeless dead friends and creepy bitches in my closet and whatnot, definitely not paying them shit… except my foot in their ass. We'll talk more about it in here Zhong says pointing to a door leading into a room, ok… this looks like the type of room my old priest would want me to go in. Zhong looks at Kaz not amused, sorry… kaz says looking down and sucking his teeth, Zhong turns and opens the door and the two-step in, kaz looks around to see a golden fountain in the center of the room and multiple glass casings containing different artifacts. Over here Zhong says as he walks to the other side of the room, the two stop next to each other, we are going to kneel here and I am going to give you a reading to fully understand your predicament. Gonna give me the old fortune prediction huh? Where's your magical orb or genie bottle? Wait are you a genie? Just give me your hand Zhong says as he kneels, Kaz kneels across from him and holds out his hand. Just stay still and focus on the sounds of the gong, this won't take too long Zhong says as he sets up the gong to ring periodically, he then closes his eyes and gently sandwiches Skaz's hand between his hands. Kaz closes his eyes and begins to feel something, he felt this vibration going through his entire body, similar to adrenaline. As the vibration increased the first ring came from the gong, after this Kaz began seeing what looked like space form around him and Zhong. He realized he could see Zhong even though his eyes were closed, kaz continued to sit still as the gong rang again making his vision more clear. He started to make out bright stars and lights surrounding him and Zhong, by this point, the vibration had become completely overpowering to the point where it was all Kaz could focus on. He watched in awe as he and Zhong sat in the middle of space floating, did he give me shrooms? Kaz thinks to himself, how the fuck is this possible? Is this guy Houdini? Are we in the fucking twilight zone? After a few seconds everything begins to warp and as he feels Zhong let go of his hand… everything vanishes into darkness. Kaz's eyes shoot open and he takes a deep breath looking around, no need to worry young man Zhong calmly reassures him, I understand now who you are, what your purpose is. Wh… what? Kaz says confused, I saw it all… from the moment you were born to today April 14th. So you saw what the things are right? I'm not losing my shit? You need to listen to me carefully young man… these entities, are after you for a reason. They've been deeply afraid ever since that night in the Freetown Forrest with you and your friends, these beings come from what's known as the Bridgewater triangle, they gain confidence through fear, pain, and malice but they feel fear themselves from the one thing that hurts them… hope. Kaz stares at him in confusion, zhong notices his puzzlement and continues, when you were put on this earth you were put here for a specific reason by a powerful force, to bring hope… it's you kazley, you are hope. Kaz stares at Zhong dumbfounded, is this guy fucking with me? He thinks to himself. I have something for you, Zhong says as he gets up, he walks over to one of the glass containers and opens it. With his back turned Kaz couldn't see what he was grabbing but when Zhong turned and walked back he saw it was a book and a necklace. 29 years ago I tried reading this book and studying the mystery behind this necklace, the book would always read "Scriptures in these pages are for the one who is hope" These items were meant to be yours. Zhong's hands Kaz the items and he stares at them for a moment, that is the book of Thoth, I am unsure of its true abilities but I could always feel its aura… it holds great power, potentially limitless. This here is the spiral necklace, upon wearing it I noticed it would bring a different text up in the book, it would say "he who is hope will be granted infinite luck protecting him from death" I realized they are both somehow connected. Kaz put the necklace on and after a few seconds it started to glow green, I knew it… Zhong said softly. Kaz grabbed the book and stood up. You guys see this shit, I have a fucking magic book and necklace that makes me lucky, maybe when I walk out of here I'll see a big booty Latina waiting by my bike. Who are you talking to? Zhong asks him, just having a little catch-up with our reader here Kaz says as he walks towards the door. Thanks again dude, don't let the creeps get ahold of that long beard of yours.
Chapter 4: past tense
Kaz pulled into his apartment complex parking lot and parked his bike in front of the building, he kicked the stand out and began walking up to his building. He opened the main door and began heading up the stairs as his apartment was on the 5th floor. At the 3rd flight of stairs, kaz heard a thud, like something had fallen, he stopped in his tracks and listened. He began to to hear a scraping sound that would repeat every few seconds, kaz walked up the last 2 flights of stairs slowly and he peered around the corner that showed a short hallway. At the end of the hallway, kaz saw someone hunched over moving their head around on the wall. He watched for a moment before stepping around the corner, alright John Lennon, we ain't hiding any drugs for you in the walls. The person instantly stopped and stood up, at this moment Kaz realized this thing was not human, it had long black hair and its head touched the ceiling making it around 7'0, it was revealed to have 3 arms. The creature turned to Kaz and revealed a disfigured horrifying smile, its skin was grey and it looked damaged, cuts and bruises were all over its face and neck. It seemed to be wearing some type of long black coat and nothing else, the creature smiled at Kaz standing motionless. You gotta be fucking kidding me Kaz says dropping his bag, the creature suddenly lunged at Kaz and kicked him back into the wall. Welcome home kaz, the entity said in a dark raspy voice, your friends wait for you in hell it said before laughing. You look and laugh like a fucking pervert kaz says as he gets up and knees the entity in the stomach, it groans and doubles over grabbing onto Kaz. He puts it in a Guillotine and the monster drives Kaz back hard into the wall, this loosens Kaz's grip and he gets lifted in the air and thrown into the wall. Too weak you pathetic fucking pussy! The creature taunts him laughing hysterically, your parents sent you away and you got your friends killed, it's a shame they can't be here to see what I'm gonna do to you. Kaz crawls towards his bag that has the necklace and book and right as grabs it he's yanked by his ankle and thrown down the stairwell. Kaz slowly stumbles to his feet using the railing to help him up when he looks up to see the entity standing at the top of the stairs, lightweight! Lightweight! The creature yells at him, come on down here and I'll show you a fucking lightweight bitch! Kaz yells in frustration. The monster swiftly crawls across the wall before pushing off and lunging at Kaz, he jumps forward and does a summersault but catches his ankle on the railing. Fuck! Kaz shouts and turns quickly and gets hit in the face with a punch, the creature laughs before hitting him in the face multiple times with all 3 arms then grabbing Kaz and throwing him over the railing down 3 flights to the bottom. Kaz groans as he rolls over and tries to get up as he clutches the bag, fucking douchebag he says in-between grunts of pain. The entity suddenly lands down next to him and he's kicked back through the basement door falling down the stairs. Kaz gets up feeling around for the bag in the dark basement when he finds a light string and he pulls it. The room lights up revealing the entity in front of him and it quickly smashes the lightbulb into his forehead and starts hysterically laughing. Kaz stumbles back holding his forehead feeling small glass shards, he then feels a liquid streaming down his face which he instantly recognizes as blood. Kaz turns a throws a wild overhand right but hits nothing, he hears it laughing as it scurries away. Kaz aimlessly backpedals until he feels a doorway, he feels around for the light switch and flicks it lighting up the laundry room. Suddenly he's kicked and sent face-first into the dryer, the entity leaps over to him and picks him dumping him upside down into the washer. It turns it on and holds Kaz's legs there as the machine starts running, the machine fills up with soapy water and starts splashing around as clothes start to spin and slap Kaz in the face. Kaz yells kicking his legs but gets held in place as the entity laughs, kaz can get his hands and arms out and he pushes up while kicking the creature in the chin. The entity stumbles back as Kaz yells and drives it into the wall breaking shelves, he notices a pair of cable saws and picks them upright as he's grabbed by two of its arms and has his head slammed into the wall, it goes to grab him with its third arm but kaz quickly wraps the cable around its forearm and he pulls it hard closing it in and slicing the monsters wrist off. It screams a horrible ear-piercing sound when Kaz jumps behind it and wraps the cable saw around its neck. Fuck you kaz! Fuck you! It screams as they struggle to slam into walls, blood starts to spurt from its neck as the cable saw makes its way through, kaz continues to pull and yank getting more blood on him when the creature grabs his leg and digs its nails in, you cunt! Kaz yells before pulling it down to the ground, the entity laughs hysterically as the saw makes its final cuts through its neck when it slices clean through the neck and blood gets shot everywhere. Kaz stands up breathing heavily holding its head by the hair, he drops it and football punts it across the basement, go fuck, yourself kaz proclaims in between heavy breaths. He turns and limps his way to the stairs where he sees his bag, he grabs it and goes up to the top of the basement. he stops when he hears a whispery echo sound, kaz turns to see the entity withering away into dust until it's gone completely. What the fuck kaz says to himself before he turns and walks up the stairs closing the door. Kaz's eyes flutter open as he hears his alarm go off, he sits up to see it's 8:52 am. He gets out of bed and goes to the bathroom to brush his teeth, he untangles a few knots in his hair as he brushes, and after about 4 minutes he walks out into his room and changes out of his pajamas. He puts on a blue sweater with jeans and white shoes, after looking in the mirror kaz walks through his kitchen grabbing a sandwich he had left in the fridge the night before. Before he walked out he took the necklace out of his pocket and looked at it, maybe this thing will give me a hand he thought to himself, of course, it will, it's like plot armor little brother. Kaz gets on his motorcycle leaves his driveway and speeds up down the street. Kaz pulled in and parked in front of the Freetown library, I'm here to find anything made about this cult or the women that were referred to me in the woods, you guys get to watch me find out all about them and then murder them. Kaz walks through the library's entrance and gazes around at the sections he sees the history section and begins browsing through the books. He sees one that catches his eye, it is a book that describes the mystery of Bridgewater. Kaz examined the book for a few seconds when he felt like someone was standing behind him, he turned to see a girl standing a few feet away from him, um hello she said, you're that boy who was on the news… I'm only saying that because I recognize you and um, I think I experienced something that might be the same thing you did. Kaz became a lot more attentive when hearing her say this, oh, did you see the rapey furry guys too? She looked at him with a confused weird expression, what... Cause that's what I saw, a lot of those motherfuckers, and a naked bald homeless guy. Would you mind coming to this table, and my cousin can explain what I'm telling you, random library lady I'll follow you. The two of them sat down at a table and across from them was a young man with dreads wearing a grey hoodie. This is my cousin, Asante, I'm Monique by the way, Kaz he responds you guys must be the new ideas the writers thought of, what? Monique says, nothing kaz responds to her. he turns to Asante, what's up dude, what's going on man he says back with an accent, you from Jamaica? kaz asks, yeah I'm from Montego Bay asants replies. Ok so uh what are you guys talking about with the whole similar experiences thing, right… Monique responded, it happened around 4 months ago, and I was driving back to my dad's house that night when we saw the road was illuminated by a red glow in the woods to the side of us, I looked over and saw a floating red triangle about 15 feet into the woods, he saw it to and we just stopped and looked at it, that's when we saw this… this giant wendigo thing Asante says, I swear it was like at least 13 feet tall. It ran by the front of the car, it ran at a scary speed for its size but I was able to get a glimpse of it before it disappeared into the woods. We sped off after that, I must have been going at least 80, alright look, Kaz says to both of them. I don't know what this is, or what the fuck these things are and why they have such a problem with me, well I know why, he begins to whisper, I kinda murdered their cult in the woods and one of their guardians, henchmen I don't fucking know. This old guy at this temple gave me these, kaz pulls out the book of Thoth, and this necklace Im wearing here, he told me some pretty wild unbelievable shit. Well, What did he tell you? Monique asks, that I hope whatever that means, that these items are meant to be mine or something. Your hope? Like he means you're a force of nature? Asante asks, I have no idea but I do know that I'm the only one that can read this book. Kaz slides over to them and Monique grabs it and opens it, The scriptures in these pages are for the one who is hopeful displays over the pages. That's what it showed Zhong to, he's the old bald guy, nice guy I fuck with him, that's crazy Asante says, so what does that mean? I guess if these things want me, I'm gonna slaughter every single one of them and keep pieces as war trophies. I'm in Asante says, let's fucking do it.
Chapter 5: The Entity Slayer
Kaz walks around to the back entrance to his warehouse job and sneaks into the parts room, he grabs a green reflective safety hoodie with pants and green cut-proof gloves stuffing them into a bag, he then grabs a gas mask and a few other small items like knives and a shiesty mask. Alright let's cut to the good part so our reader here can get into it, kaz lays out all the items on his table and starts putting them on, he puts the hood up and tightens it after putting on the gas mask before opening a large drawer in the table taking out two machete katanas, two pistols, a variety of small blades and an AK-47. Kaz puts the AK over his back shoulder with a strap attached as he puts the blades away in his many pockets. Not done just yet he says walking over to the corner of the room, he opens a hatch in the floor under the carpet and takes out a flipper zero, grenades, grappling hooks,
retractable sticky slabs, and other high-powered artillery. To truly understand the full picture that's been painted here, I'm gonna start with the animal fuckers who killed Felipe and work my way up. Kaz walks over to a giant board in his living room with multiple pictures of men and women all connected with a red string. Just so you guys know I've been waiting 2 years 7 months 2 weeks 9 days 17 hours 52 minutes and about 19 seconds to do what I'm about to do, and yes this is pre-meditated murder. Kaz gets on his bike and begins driving for a good 25 minutes before he stops outside an abandoned factory building, he parks his bike and quickly moves to a ladder leading to the roof of a neighboring building. Kaz swiftly climbs to the roof before he runs to the edge and looks around, he sees two black vans in the driveway so he takes out binoculars and sees movement through some of the windows. Oh yeah, I'm gonna touch these guys where the son doesn't shine, he puts them away before taking out a grappling hook and running off the edge throwing the hook at a window. He pulls out a pistol as he's in the air and shoots 4 shots at the window the hook shatters it and hooks onto something inside. Kaz glides in on the rope hearing screams coming from inside, he goes through the window to see 2 dead cult members and 5 others looking horrified. Kaz soars through the window and takes out a machete decapitating another man before he lands on his feet. Hey guys! Kaz enthusiastically yells I'll try and make this quick, not so sure about quiet. He takes out 4 throwing stars and frisbee flicks them at the members hitting two in the throat, he runs and does a diving summersault before kicking a man in the face and knocking him down, he turns and aims his pistol at another but they take their mask off revealing themselves to be a women, please! Please don't! Pl… she's cut off when Kaz casually shoots her before turning and seeing the man get up and pull out a knife. The man charges Kaz but slips and the knife goes into the man's chest, kaz laughs hysterically as the man slowly dies on the floor. You poor bastard oh my god I'm so sorry, not Kaz says chuckling. Kaz turns to see 4 more men in animal masks and robes burst into the room, oh hey guys! Kaz says pulling out two machete katana, what's for lunch? Kazs busts forward slamming his shoulder into one of them and disembowling the two men next to him, kaz slices one of the men in the dropping him to the floor before turning and throwing one of his blades which hits the other cult member in the face. Ohhhhhhh! He calls out, suddenly the man Kaz knocked down gets up and swings a knife but Kaz ducks and cuts his leg off, the man screams in pain on the ground as Kaz watches and starts laughing. Holy shit I took your ENTIRE fucking leg off from the thigh! Kaz chuckles before picking up his other blade and stabbing it down through the man's mask and face. Well alright then, guess I'm taking a smoke break early, kaz makes his way up to the rooftop of the building walks to the edge, and taking off the gas mask, he takes out a blunt and lights it standing on the edge of the roof. He looks down to see the blood on his hoodie and pants, I don't think I'll ever not look like this honestly he says talking to himself as he smokes. Ah fuck, sorry guys, I was supposed to leave one alive to get information to advance the plot, that's my bad… gotta do better. Kaz climbs down to the ground and finds a payphone around a corner in an alleyway, he puts in a few coins and dials a number before putting the phone by his ear and waiting. Hello? Monique answers, hey uh what's up it's crazy, just wanted to let you know I did find one of their furry meet-up spots but I also kinda sorta murdered all of them… are you serious? Kaz wha… did you commit murder? Yeah, that's the whole plan right I mean we kinda have to kill them all. Well, the entity yeah but what about the fact that you killed people? The police? Prison? Lucky necklace remember Kaz responds, that monk from the temple said I was destined to do this, so I'm gonna do it. yeah but did it involve killing? I guess we'll find out.
Chapter 6: trials
Kaz quickly enters his apartment shutting the door fast, he jumps over his couch and throws multiple knives at his board, they hit every person on the wall that he killed. God damn it fuck, ok leave one alive… leave one alive. Kaz looks over his notes on his desk and checks off the abandoned warehouse, he looks down and sees the sewer system in the Assonet next on the list, get ready readers we got some smelly boys. Kaz speeds down the highway heading assonet on his bike going past 75 up to 80. He goes back and forth passing cars eventually reaching the exit where he gets off the highway and heads down the backroads. Kaz slowly comes to a stop upon seeing a sewer grate on the street, he parks his bike and approaches it. Good thing I'm wearing this he says to himself, he uses one of his katana machetes to pry the lid off and he descends. Kaz reaches the bottom of the ladder and pulls out an MA5K carbine with a flashlight attached lighting up his way as he walks. He creeps through the tunnels hearing nothing but silence, he suddenly hears movement nearby so he turns off his light and holds his gun up by his shoulder. He turns on the thermal vision setting he installed in his mask and sees a man on the other side of the wall. He began walking and Kaz realized he was heading in his direction, Kaz rested the gun around his shoulder and took out a Bowie knife as he crept up to the corner and waited. just as the man was about to pass Kaz grabbed him and stabbed the side of his neck dropping him quickly. The man bled out and choked for a moment on the ground but Kaz left soon after continuing down the tunnel. He eventually finds a metal door with a wheel on it so he approaches it and pulls it open, inside are 6 cult members sitting at a table with a human head at the center that was surrounded by candles. Holy shit you guys are just chilling in the shit box with a head? all the members got up and pulled out large knives and stared at him, they finally gave you weapons huh? You guys are funny he says laughing, if only you knew… if only you knew. They all rush him raising the blades instantly after, Kaz throws the Bowie knife hitting one of the men in the chest causing him to fall over, two other cult members who were behind him trip over him and accidentally fall on both of their knives. Kaz kicks another man in the face causing him to fall and hit his head before taking out his katana machetes and stabbing a cult member in the abdomen, kaz turns the blade sideways and rips it out to the right and following through decking him in the face with blade partially decapitating him. The man falls to the floor sending blood everywhere. Kaz walks up to the man on the floor and rips his mask off before picking him up and slamming him into the wall holding a desert eagle to his forehead. Who the fuck do you pray to? Or worship huh? The man stays silent staring at him, Kaz slams the gun into his chest causing the man to gasp in pain and double over. Kaz straightens him and slams him back into the wall before pistol-whipping him but not at full force to avoid knocking him out. tell me who your fucking leader is He yells holding the gun at his head, t t t..the ones who curse, they are the ones who have set us free. They can set you free Kaz, just let her take your soul. Kaz stares at him saying nothing, who is your god? He asks, the man looks at him momentarily before responding, I will not disgrace her almighty self by revealing her. Kaz leans in closer to him and grabs his face, making sure she knows what I'm gonna do to her, kaz steps back and shoots the man multiple times and then lets his body slide down and slump over. I still don't know who in the fuck she or she is, premium top-tier glazers, he says as he walks back through the tunnels, kaz climbs back to the street and puts the cover back on before riding off. Kaz parks in his driveway and once again quickly bursts into his apartment throwing more knives at the wall and landing on different pictures, kaz puts his hands on the desk and looks at the board then down at his notes, he checks off the sewers before looking at a name in his notes than looking at a picture on the top of the board with the same name, Blake Zimmer. He must be the head of the table or one of the heads of the table… not one of the heads on the table, he continues to look through his notes and sees the Westley co-factory in Freetown is his business. Kaz heads back out on his bike after grabbing a few extra bullets and knives, he speeds down the backroads going 90 for about 15 minutes. He stops down the street and parks his bike before walking, I wonder what they got cooking up in there, it's probably who they're cooking up in there honestly. kaz looks up at the neighboring building, I'm getting ideas now he says to himself before he runs up the wall and throws a grappling hook on the metal fire exit staircase. The hook retracts and pulls him up and he quickly detaches the hook from the bottom and swings himself up and over on the stairs. He quickly makes his way up when he gets to the roof, Kaz approaches the edge and uses the thermal vision in his mask. He sees 5 people outside and 25 Inside throughout the building, this will put me on their radar, someone tells James a Janice to get his calculator out. Kaz lunges off the edge of the building pulling out a desert eagle as he jumps, he fires multiple shots at a big window and then throws a grappling hook. The window shatters from the bullets and the hook travels in and latches to something pulling Kaz in, as he gets to the window he hears screams. Kaz comes soaring in through the window and he sees multiple cult members scrambling in a panic and 2 dead ones, kaz pulls the hook back to him as he travels through the air and then pulls out one katana machete and decapitates a man before he lands, people! He yells as he kicks the decapitated head like a soccer ball, the head flies through the air and hits one of the members in the face stunning him momentarily. Kaz pulls out an AK 47 and begins shooting nonstop, the cult members scream as some try to attack him and some try to run away. He grabs a man by the head and slams him face-first into the wall knocking him out, he turns to pull out two twin uzis and he starts shooting again killing person after person. He puts the guns away and sprints forward taking out his blades, he slices two cult members' necks before back-flipping over a man charging him, and stabbing him through the back with boat blades, you like a little meat cab bob Kaz says while laughing when he hears footsteps spring behind him. He rips the blades out and turns to see a huge man swinging a big axe at him, Kaz lunges, and barrel rolls out of harm's way. I like the epic villainous entrance good job buddy kaz says antagonizing him, the man charges Kaz and swings the axe at him multiple times with Kaz ducking and dodging each swing, kaz laughs before taking out a flamethrower and spraying the man. The man's entire body sets ablaze and he screams in agony dropping the axe, kaz looks over to the see man he knocked out earlier who is awake and getting to his feet to run away, kaz shoots the man in the leg dropping him to the floor. He yells out in pain holding his leg as Kaz turns back to the large man on fire, he picks up the axe and slams it down into the back of his head. Kaz walks back over to the man on the floor as the fire starts to spread, he rips off his mask takes out the desert eagle, and aims it at his face, the man had blonde hair and hazel eyes like Kaz, he looked young, couldn't have been older than 26. The man looked at Kaz with terror as blood ran down his face, Blake Zimmer… where is that slimy slippery little cunt, the man stares at Kaz in silence, kaz takes out a butterfly knife and drives it into the man's leg, where is he! Kaz yells as he digs the knife in and moves it side to side. The man screams in pain, ok ok!! He lives on 21 Lester blvd! Big White House! Kaz takes the knife out and looks at him, ok great! Kaz looks over at the roaring fire spreading closer every so slightly, nah go fuck yourself kaz says turning and heading to the door, wait! Wait! No, please! Don't leave me in here!! Kaz shuts the door and sticks a modified self-retractable hook base on the ceiling and hooks the door knob with it keeping it locked. Kaz hears the man screaming and eventually pounding on the door as he walks away and out of the building. He gets on his bike and begins heading to the address he was told looking at his map. After 10 minutes he arrives on the street and parks a few houses down, Kaz walks to the back of the house quietly cuts out the window, and slips into the basement. He creeps through the dark basement using a flashlight to illuminate the way, he walks up some stairs and creeps into the living room before putting a chair in the corner and sitting in the darkness. A few moments pass when Blake and his wife stumble into the living room making out, Blake's wife pushes him onto the couch and straddles him when Kaz interrupts. You're a dirty boy Blake Kaz says, his wife screams in terror falling off the couch as Blake stands up quickly. Kaz shushes them as he walks forward revealing a suppressed pistol, you guys are gonna shut the fuck up now and stand in the middle of the room Kaz says in a whisper. Blake and his wife stand in the middle of the living room, his wife is trembling and crying, and suddenly a young boy walks in the room rubbing his eyes, Mom? What's going on? The boy stands by his mom holding her arm as Kaz points the gun in their direction, oh by the way your factory building burnt down, that's Courtesy of yours truly Kaz says slightly bowing. Blake looks at Kaz with a terrified look, who are you? He says softly, I'm the guy you motherfuckers crossed, your sick devilish sex offender cult almost killed me and killed my friends. You guys like kidnap and sacrifice people, right? Well, consider this your last supper Blake, a nice plate of motherfucking hollow tips. Please… not in front of my family… sure thing Kaz replies before quickly shooting his wife and son in the head spraying Blake with blood. Blake stares in shock mixed with horror as he looks down upon his family's corpses, suddenly kaz stomps down on the side of Blake's knee causing a cracking sound. Blake collapses yelling in pain when Kaz stomps on his stomach, shut the fuck up, Blake groans on the floor and begins to cry, why! Why! You fucking monster! You killed my boy!! He whales. You did this Blake, you could have lived a normal peaceful life with your family… but instead, you wanted to live a double life, you wanted to torture others behind your family's back, and then come home and give piggyback rides… your cult is done and your brothers, your people, I'm gonna massacre every single one of them. Blake stared at him as tears streamed down his face, Kaz aimed the pistol at Blake's face, who is your god? Blake's sadness turned to anger, fuck you! No fuck you! Kaz says before shooting him. Chapter 7: Research
Monique and Asante exit off the highway going into Freetown, this Kaz kid seems like he has a couple of screws loose Asante says, yeah but he's been through a lot we don't even know everything he saw in those woods. Plus he'll be a good help with our documentary, I don't think he's a bad dangerous person I think he's just damaged. You better hope he doesn't have a psycho episode and kill one of us, Monique laughs I think we're gonna be fine, they pull into the driveway of their house and park the car. They both get out and head inside closing the door behind them, Monique walks up to the house phone on the wall and dials Kaz's number calling him. After 3 rings he picks up, and says into the phone, hey you can head over now our two friends are coming over the ones I was telling you about that are helping with the documentary, you can meet them. Sounds good, I'll be there in like 20 minutes. Asante began searching on his computer for about 5 minutes when they heard a knock at the door. Monique approaches the front door and opens it to see Lane and Mary, hey Monique says as she hugs Mary, Asante walks up to Lane and they dap each other up while walking inside. What have you guys been up to? Still working on that documentary thing? Lane asks, yeah we got a pretty important person involved Monique responds. Yeah? What like a ghost hunter or something? Oh my god… so did this person go missing in that Forrest? Mary asks her, yeah his name is Kaz, He and 3 of his friends went missing but they found him, they also found one of his friends dead Asante adds. Jesus… lane says softly, the guy became a little unstable because of that though because he says and does crazy shit Asante says, is he violent? Lane asks, he's currently hunting down some of the people that were responsible for his friend's deaths, he said they were taken and held captive by this satanic cult. Is he kidnapping them? Interrogating them? Mary asks, I think he's probably killing them Asante responds. Suddenly they hear a knock at the door, Monique please let me in Kaz says on the other side in a higher-pitched voice. Monique says confused, yeah this monk dude gave it to me, apparently it's got crazy inter-dimensional abilities… has like unlimited power if used to its full potential I don't know something like that Kaz says casually. They all stare at Kaz dumbfounded, so what's your plan because this is far beyond a documentary at this point Monique says. Well, I plan to kill all of them, find out where more of those entities are, and then murder them as well he replies. Entities? Mary says questioningly, yeah entity's… at least that's what I call them I don't know what the fuck they are Kaz says. I think I've seen one before Mary says, hearing you say it, you've seen them? She asks him. Yeah, I killed one, the rake, knocked his bald ass out and blew his dome off. It was real? Monique interrupts, uh yeah he was for sure real I threw hands with him… I remember it clear as day he liked doing that grabbing and throwing shit… pussy he says to himself softly. I had an encounter with something on my 2nd day visiting this town lane says, I had to cross through this alleyway, and… there was this dumpster, and when I got close as I was passing by it the lid slightly opened ajar and this weird tentacle came out… like an octopus tentacle. Yeah just give me a second he calls back, a few minutes later Kaz walks back out into the living room holding a suppressed AK-47, he was now wearing a neon green striped reflective safety vest with green sleeves and green striped reflective safety pants. He put on green gloves and had a hood on with a black gas mask on, they noticed the tint in the eye holes making Kaz's face completely hidden. They look at him confused and slightly intrigued as the room stays silent, damn Lane says, that looks pretty badass not gonna lie man. Kaz holds one of his blades up, this isn't just gonna slightly poke him… I'm going balls deep.
Chapter 8: changes
Kaz pulled up and parked his bike outside the alley entrance, he got off the bike and stood in the opening of the alley staring into the darkness. The cold night air blew shaking the leaves on the trees, kaz took out a circular pad in his hand, and he pressed a button which illuminated a bright light. He turned and tossed it into the alleyway sliding and bouncing into the middle lighting it up, standing at the end of the alley with its back towards Kaz was a thin humanoid squid creature, kaz could see the many tentacles on its lower and upper body. Hey, cocksucker right behind you kaz calls out, a few moments pass before the entity turns to face Kaz. It had a large head particularly large in the forehead area, its skin was a dark blue and its nose was freakishly wide and long. The creature's eyes appeared lifeless and empty as it stared at Kaz. Come on! Kaz taunts it waving his blades at it, you wanna try these out?! The entity continues to stare at Kaz completely still and emotionless, I'll kill us both it suddenly says in a nosiled dark voice. Kaz is startled when the creature lunges over 8 feet right in front of Kaz and slaps him into the brick wall, kaz lies stunned for a moment getting up slowly, you fuck kaz says quietly under his breath when the creature bares sharp teeth at him and spits an ink-like substance at him. Kaz rolled out of the way letting the ink hit the wall behind him, the bricks began to hiss and Disintegrate as the ink burned through it like acid. He runs up and off the wall kicking its face while throwing a grappling hook up, it latches onto a metal existing staircase retracting sending Kaz upward. he quickly grabs the hook and kicks off the wall throwing multiple knives at the entity while he falls. He rolls off a dumpster and lands on his feet, the entity slaps a tentacle at Kaz but he quickly takes out his dual katana machetes and cuts it off, the tentacle grows back quickly and the creature smiles an evil sadistic smile at him after this. Don't give me that sex offender smile Ursula! The entity swings its tentacles at Kaz over and over but Kaz dodges and continues to slice through them. Kaz roundhouse kicks the entity in the side of the face before spinning back kicking its stomach, Kaz front flips swinging the blades down and cutting off multiple tentacles at once. He stabs both blades through its body and powers it into the wall pushing the blades deeper, he begins laughing as the squid-like creature struggles to get Kaz off. The Creature bites at Kaz which results in both of them falling over, kaz drops his blades and it lands on top of him, they scuffle on the ground with Kaz gaining the upper hand rolling it over and hitting it with elbows. The creature shoves Kaz off and gets up and charges, Kaz hits a front kick to its face followed by a right hook and a left uppercut. Kaz hits another front kick to its chest sending it stumbling back, oh yeah yeah yeah yeah, Kaz harmonizes while doing a Michael Jackson spin transitioning into a moonwalk before aiming up his AK and shooting multiple bullets into its body. Kaz bursts forward and lunges far taking out one of his blades, as he turns through the air he decapitates the entity before flipping fully and landing on his feet behind it. The head bounces and rolls away on the concrete and Kaz looks over his shoulder to see blue blood spurting out and the body dropping to the ground. Oh, I'm sorry dude they nerfed you kaz says to its corpse, suddenly he begins to feel like he's being watched and notices the necklace humming quietly. He carefully looks around to see someone peering from behind a wall but quickly disappears. hey! Kaz shouts as he sprints down the alleyway, he turns the corner and sees the person quickly get into a van and speed away down the street. Before they get too far kaz can get a picture of the license plate and the van before booking it back through the alleyway to his bike. He starts it up and speeds through the alleyway sharply turning onto the street, Kaz accelerates in the direction the van went swerving around cars. Son of a bitch he thinks to himself, he continued to drive but didn't see any sign of the van. He pulls into a parking lot and stops, he pulls out his camera and looks at the picture he took. 23V1a he repeats to himself, you done fucked up buddy. Dude quit button-mashing Asante says to Lane, don't hate the game playa hate me! He says while giggling. Suddenly the door bursts open and Kaz enters holding an AK, holy shit! Lane shouts as they both jump back in shock. I found your dumpster diving buddy… he is uh well he's dead kaz says as he walks around the room putting his gun down and taking out the camera. Man bun I need your computer skills for something, bro don't call me th… look at this kaz interrupts him showing him the picture of the license plate. After I kicked that thing's ass I found this guy stalking me and he ran fast as shit into this van and peeled. What do you expect me to do with this? Lane asks you think I'm the fucking Unabomber? Their conversation is cut off by a knock at the door, they all turn to look and Kaz holds out his arm motioning them to step back. He pulls out a desert eagle and aims at the door slowly approaching it, another set of knocks comes through and Kaz looks through the peephole to see a man in a suit tie and shades standing on the other side holding a briefcase. What's up Agent K? Asante and Lane both look at each other with a look of confusion and fear. Kaz slowly opens the door but leaves the chain lock on, hello Mr Everest my name is Oscar Pollard… may I come in to speak with you about a business deal? The man spoke very properly but monotone. What kind of business deal? He says holding the gun up, I can assure you there is no need for your weapons to be pointed at me Mr Everest, I only come to you with an opportunity to do business. Kaz tilts his head at the man saying nothing before he clips the chain off the door and lets him in. Kaz, what the… hold up Asante he cuts him off, and I'm intrigued… what kinda business are we talking about? I am with the Appleseed corporation… we specialize in working under the table out of the government's view. We've noticed you have been taking down members of the Salem howlers and some entities that we've had on our kill list… we think you would be a perfect addition to our operation. Kaz lowers his gun and turns towards Asante and Lane, so the furry club does have names, Freetown howlers? I wonder who made that shit up. We have a mark on Fred Kirkman… he's one of the elites in their cult, and the price for him is 200'000 dollars. Holy shit I'm in Neo Kaz responds, dude what are these names you're coming up with? lane asks. There references lane, you guys will understand them in a few years… anyway! Kaz proclaims right dude, I'll take this job. Chapter 9 Appleseed:
Kaz, Asante, and Lane get into a limousine parked outside his apartment, prom king are we going to Magic City? The 3 of them
Sit in the backseat while Oscar begins driving. Asante looked over nervously at Lane and he looked back with a reassuring look, we got him, we're chillin' Lane said quietly. Asante turns when he feels Kaz touching his hair, it's gonna be ok I won't let anything happen to you wormy kaz whispers. Bro what? Asante says moving his head slightly away, alright gentleman we are just about here Oscar says. Really? Already? Lane responds, the vehicle turns and goes down a dead-end street on the outskirts of the town. They are surrounded by spaced-out buildings and Forrest when they park behind an abandoned brick building. Um this looks like a place for a surprise fingering Kaz says, we have a very hidden spot to avoid detection… the government absolutely can not find us. Oscar's tone sounded different than earlier, he went from friendly and welcoming to very serious. The 4 of them exited the limousine and began walking around the side of the house and up the front porch, Oscar opened the door and lane and Kaz went inside with Asante being more cautious and slow to enter. They saw nothing but a large open area with support beams everywhere, over here Oscar calls out. The 3 of them follow him to the end of the large area by the wall and Oscar hits his fist against it, after a few seconds the wall begins to slide to the left revealing a doorway. Let's go Oscar says with a smile as he enters the doorway and descends a long staircase, holy ballsack kaz says as the 3 of them walk down the stairs reaching a long dark hallway dimly illuminated by led lights. They follow Oscar down the hall that leads to a door, Oscar puts in a numerical code on a pad next to the door and it opens up. They step through the door to see a huge nightclub layout, the huge room was only lit up by flashing colored lights. It is magic city! Kaz proclaims, Lane and Asante look around in shock to see a bar section and an upstairs area with girls walking around with drinks and food on platters. Welcome to the Appleseed underground Oscar says to them, all of our members operate here for our contract-killing jobs as well as our money laundering schemes! Lane and Asante look at Kaz with fearful expressions as he faces Oscar, alright! Do you guys have escorts? Kaz says. Yes Mr Everest that is all in the upstairs section, Mr Malone let me show you the technology we can provide come this way, Lane looks back at Asante and Kaz seemingly looking for approval but Asante just stares back at him wide-eyed. He looks back at her wide-eyed feeling extremely nervous, kaz hands Carrie the wad of cash as they disappear down into a private room leaving Asante and the other woman. The woman had white skin with dirty blonde hair, she began walking down the hall to another room gently leading Asante by holding his hand. Oscar and Lane step into a room with 2 other men in suits sitting at a table, he sees a bunch of monitors and devices all on the table with a ton of different cords and cables connecting to different spots. We've just developed the ability to track vehicles by their license plate something that's very hard to get done under the table Oscar says. I also would like to give you something, I have two more for Kaz and Asante he says while taking out a flipper zero and handing it to Lane. He takes it and inspects it, those antennas you see on it are satellite disrupters, we've got the range for them up to a 100-mile radius. Damn Lane says softly looking over the item, Oscar walks over to the end of the table and pulls out a small black rectangular chip, and slides it over across the table to Lane. This is our newest upgrade, it can track anything it is attached to and it can be tracked from distances far beyond anything on the dark web. This is insane Lane thought to himself, should I be getting involved with this? Lane peered up and saw the men in the room staring at him as he held the chip. Alright, he responds to Oscar with a smile, this will help a lot thanks man Lane says to him trying to sound as polite as possible. Lane nods his head with the same awkward smile as he turns and exits the room. Lane walks around the nightclub pushing through people on the dance floor as the music blasts. I should look for Kaz and Asante he thinks to himself looking around, the huge crowd of people made it hard for him to see past anything when he felt a hand touch his shoulder, he turned to see a man wearing lingerie and a large earrings holding a drink out to him. Why don't you take this and come over on this side baby the man says to him, uhh I uh I'm looking for my girlfriend sorry man Lane says shuffling away quickly. He continues to push past people when he sees Asante walking in the upstairs area, he goes up the stairs heading towards him. Yo! Asante! This shit is insane! I know man, but this is also illegal, what if we get caught up? this is an entire underground criminal organization. I'm still thinking about that lane response, have you seen Kaz? He's still in that room he sounds like he's having fun Asante says slightly laughing. The more I think about it though, the more I realize it's gonna be hard to get Mary and Monique to agree to this lane says. Monique? I don't know the first step to convince her to do something like this Asante responds. Alright gentleman, Lane, and Asante are interrupted by Kaz appearing randomly from the hallway. Did you have fun? Lane asks him, yes in fact I now love this place kaz says holding up multiple pill bottles. holy shit what is that? Asante says shocked, happy in a container Asante you should try it sometime kaz says walking away. Where are you going lane calls to him as he and Asante both follow, home… I still got some work to do remember? I'm gonna safely assume you guys are in. Kaz asks them both as they all stand by the exit. Asante looks at Lane nervously then at Kaz, I'm in lane says in a serious tone, I got your back. Kaz shifts his gaze over to Asante, he nervously stares at Kaz unable to see his eyes through the tinted lenses of his gas mask. I don't know man… this is very illegal and dangerous Asante says. Up to you… I won't force you but you're missing out on big money kaz responds before turning and walking up the stairs. Lane shortly after follows leaving Asante standing alone at the bottom, he thinks to himself conflicted on what to do before he hesitantly heads up the stairs.
Chapter 10: the bear, cat and mouse
The 3 of them walk up lanes driveway into his house after a long trek in the night, we should have asked for a ride from Oscar we just walked like 2 hours Asante says complaining. Well, we're back so we're good Kaz says as Lane opens the door letting them in. Some time passes and the 3 of them are sitting on the couch in Lane's living room watching TV, kaz takes a hit from his joint before passing it to Lane, the smoke is clouding up the room is illuminated by the light from the TV. Lane takes a few puffs and goes to pass it to Asante but sees he fell asleep. This guy took 2 hits and knocked Lane says smiling at Kaz with red eyes, kaz leans over to see Asante and giggles. The two continue smoking when they hear rustling outside, kaz stops and perks his head up listening. You heard that shit, right? Someone was walking around outside, and suddenly the glass on the other side of the room shattered and a brick landed on the living room floor. Lane's face went white with fear and Asante shot up visibly startled, get down! Kaz calls out lunging off the couch grabbing his two blades off the table and jumping through the window outside. The darkness hit Kaz quickly and he realized he couldn't see, he frantically turned in all directions flipping his blades in his hands when he heard someone running up from behind him. Kaz turned and wildly swung one of his blades hearing a fleshy cutting sound followed by a man screaming, Kaz vaguely saw the man fall by his feet so he stabbed both of his blades down killing the man. Lane and Asante quietly move to the upstairs of the house as they hear more windows shatter. Asante creeps up on the house phone on the wall of the lane but he stops him, we're not calling the cops that will fuck us all over we have him he can handle them Lane whispers to Asante. Asante stares at Lane with a scared look with slight tears forming in his eyes, his heart is pounding and his whole body is shaking. They hear more screaming from outside followed by Kaz laughing when suddenly Lane is grabbed from behind and dragged away. Lane screams flailing his arms and legs as Asante watches in horror, help! Lane screams out over and over but gets cut off by the man's hand covering his mouth. Asante could see the man struggling with Lane, his robe and animal mask made Asante even more scared causing him to freeze. Suddenly a knife comes whipping through the air and lands directly in the cult member's neck causing him to fall back choking on blood and letting Lane go. Lane scrambles to get away but Asante still stands in place frozen in fear. Kaz finishes the man off with a couple of extra blade slices before turning to both of them. You guys are good, right? Kaz says sounding more serious now, lane shoves Asante into the wall aggressively breaking him out of his trance, what the fuck dude! You just stood there! I could've died right there and you were just gonna do nothing!? Lane shouts at him. Asante looks down at the floor with a saddened look on his face, I'm… sorry he says softly. Alright, whatever Kaz says we don't know if there's more coming stay alert. Kaz takes out a pump shotgun and holds it up as he looks around lanes house, he hears glass crunching under his boots as he walks. After finding nothing he rushes back upstairs and closes himself, Asante and Lane in his bedroom putting a chair under the knob and pointing the shotgun at the door. Is there more of them? Lane asks quietly, no… Kaz responds in a whisper but we're not gonna stay out in the open until it's for certain those pricks fucked off. Just stay behind me and keep quiet I'll make sure you guys are fine Kaz says, asante and Lane couldn't help but notice the seriousness from Kaz, they were always used to seeing him act erratic and not taking anything seriously. The 3 of them sat there in the dark room… in complete tense silence.
Lane was awoken by knocking at the door, he turned to see Asante passed out up against the wall next to him but Kaz was gone. While slightly panicking Lane shook Asante awake and looked around for the gun, he couldn't find it when he heard Kaz talking downstairs. This took some of his nerves away and Lane motions Asante to follow him down the stairs. They enter the kitchen to see Kaz talking to Monique and Mary, the two girls both had visibly shocked expressions. What the fuck! We leave you guys alone for a day, Monique proclaims. Listen listen kaz says trying to calm her down, everything's gonna work out and we're gonna get mad money… he's cut off by another set of knocks at the door. Kaz opens the door to see a police officer standing on the porch, hello I just wanted to stop by and ask you guys some questions about reports we've been getting… something about a guy wearing a green construction hoodie with a gas mask, we think he's a vigilante responsible for a lot of murders. Mhm… kaz says quietly, yeah I don't know I haven't seen any construction workers Kaz responds. The officer looks at him seemingly trying to figure him out, you look familiar the officer says, your that boy who was on the news. Oh yes, that's me Kaz responds, you said you and your friends were attacked by a cult right? A lot of the dead bodies we found have been connected to this cult he says raising his fingers and making quotation marks. Well that's good for me to hear Kaz says with a smile, I'm glad someone's giving them what they deserve he continues with his smile fading to a serious face. Yeah… the officer says with a straight face, well just keep a lookout, if you see anything give us a call. Kaz shuts the door and turns to the rest of them, dude why did you say that shit are you trying to get caught? Lane says in a concerned tone. Fuck that guy he doesn't have shit on me… not yet anyway kaz says slightly laughing. This will change our plans however, I would like you to use that chip Oscar gave you and do some digging on the Freetown police station. Ok and what are you gonna do? Lane asks, I'm gonna go get more answers kaz says grabbing his duffle bag before walking out the door. Kaz walks into his apartment and heads to his board of suspects putting a knife in 4 of them. Chester Atkins Kaz says to himself looking up the name online, after about a 10-minute search he finds a picture online of a man named Chester Atkins who works at a flea market. The picture online is the same picture on Kaz's board which excites him, he loads up his guns and gets his things together before leaving his apartment through his fire escape. He zip-lines down to his bike and peels off down the road heading to the flea market. After about a 20-minute drive kaz parks down the road from the building and cuts through the woods to the backside, Bout puts a hole in Chester's chest kaz says to himself as he creeps through the bushes. Kaz quietly enters through the back fire exit and finds himself in a storage room leading to an office room, he hears footsteps so he ducks behind some shelves to see a man and woman walking into the office. It was him, he must have been with a co-worker or something. Kaz crept closer to where they entered from and he put a retractable line on the knob holding the door shut. He crawled low to the ground up to the door leading to the office as Chester and the women spoke. In an instant kaz shot around the corner and painted the walls with her brains using a suppressed pistol before aiming it at Chester and shushing him. Chester held his hands up as he began shaking uncontrollably in fear. look at this Kaz proclaims, was she involved too or did I just blast her for nothing? Eh probably would've killed her regardless she's a witness. Anyway, Kaz says hopping over the desk in the room still aiming the gun at Chester. Please… what do you want I'll give you whatever you want he says as his voice breaks. I want you to tell me who your fucking boss is if it's not you… I also wanna know who this woman I was told about was back when I killed all the funky bunch in the woods. She wanted me to stay? Who is she? Who the fuck is this woman? Chester stares at Kaz wide-eyed, I can't he says stuttering, they'll torture me he says trying to not cry. Kaz slaps him across the face with the pistol, what do you think I'm gonna do dipshit? Chester looks up at Kaz holding his face with tears in his eyes, you know? For all the innocent people you've killed you guys sure cry and mope around a lot… I don't think I've ever seen a bigger group of pussies. Kaz pokes Chester's forehead with the suppressed pistol and starts talking… as of right now I'm taking it very easy on you which is the luckiest thing that could have happened to you right now. I'm dead either way Chester responded shakily… I'm the grand deacon and I will not give up my brothers so you can go fuck yourself he says. Mmm… ok kaz responds before taking out his blade and knocking Chester unconscious with the handle. Chester's eyes fluttered open as he looked around, his vision was blurry but he could make out a dark basement. He tried to move only to realize his hands and ankles were handcuffed to separate pipes on the wall and his mouth was ductaped, shhhhh… Chester's head instantly shoots sideways to see Kaz standing in a dark corner. I see you awake now chesty bear… about that lady? Who is she? Chester stares at him wide-eyed but doesn't speak a word, Kaz swiftly drives a knife down into his thigh. Chester's muffled screams could be heard as Kaz stabbed his leg a few more times, You're not cooperating! This is why you're in the dungeon now! Tears rolled down Chester's face as he groaned in pain and fidgeted around. Who is she? Kaz yells, Chester continues to groan in pain so Kaz begins punching and kicking him over and over. This isn't gonna stop until you start talking Chester, I don't have any reason to kill you right now so I need you alive he says before kicking Chester's groin. Chester jolts in pain as his muffled cries continue, I wanna see how many punches it takes for me to break your jaw Kaz says before giggling. He then starts punching Chester in the face over and over. Chester tries speaking through the tape so Kaz rips it off and kneels next to him, had enough chessy? Kaz says rubbing his finger across his face. G g go… to… hell Chester stutters out then just immediately eats another punch. Kaz tapes back up his mouth before walking away momentarily, now it gets worse for you dude… all you had to do was talk Kaz says it to him as he pulls out a toolbox putting it down next to him on the floor. Kaz opens it and pulls out a drill, a butter knife, and a variety of other utility tools. He takes a steel mallet and slams it down onto Chester's hand cracking bones, he winces and moves in pain as Kaz takes pauses in between hits to taunt him. He drops the hammer and grabs the butter knife forcing it deep in between the man's fingers causing him to thrash around even harder but still unable to scream while being muffled. Kaz chuckles as the man suffers in severe agony, we're just getting started relax… I haven't even used the blowtorch yet and that's one of my favorites. Kaz grabs a power drill and inserts a large screw, I want you to think about every man, every woman, every child that you killed while I do this Chester, try to remember their screams then compare them to your own. Kaz revs it up and slowly sinks the drill into Chester's shoulder spurting blood out everywhere, Chester's muffled screams continue as Kaz takes it out and does the same thing to his other shoulder and then his feet. Kaz swaps out the power drill for a blow torch and begins burning Chester's legs all the way up from the ankle to the thighs. The intense agony causes Chester to slowly drop his head and pass out. Shortly after Chester's eyes flutter open again and the pain quickly returns to him, he looks up to see Kaz still standing over him holding pliers. That didn't take too long, you're doing a good job champ Kaz says sarcastically patting him on the top of the head. He then quickly gets one of Chester's back teeth with the pliers and pulls it out making Chester scream. he tries talking again so Kaz rips off the tape and stands up waiting for Chester to speak, t t tala… he stutters out in a painful tone. What? Kaz responds, tala is our vessel, it was the rake before him but you killed it so now we deal our sacrifices to Tala. I've already spoken his name which will anger him… you made a big mistake… he's interrupted by Kaz holding a shotgun to his face. Where is he? Kaz asks in a stern tone, the same place you should've died… try to hunt him and he will kill you and your friends… you're about as good as dead anyway Chester mumbles. Kaz stares down at Chester with the gun pressed to his face as he loads a bullet into the chamber. Who is your god? Kaz says, Chester looks up with a look of surprise mixed with relief before Kaz pulls the trigger covering the walls behind him in blood.
Chapter 11: something to fear
Kaz quickly throws a knife right into Chester's picture on his board right after he comes through the front door, he draws a question mark on the final picture at the top of the board. One last guy he said to himself before turning and leaving his apartment. After a 15-minute bike ride, Kaz arrived at Lane's house, he parked, trotted up the front porch, and opened the door. He saw Lane, Asante, Mary, and Monique all in the living room. I did the digging you asked Lane while on his computer, turns out they have security cameras by the station that kind of show the Freetown Forrest… look at this Lane says before turning his laptop to face Kaz. They all watched the low-quality camera show nothing but dark Forrest when suddenly a red light started glowing in the Forrest, after a few seconds it made the shape of the triangle. Holy shit… Asante says gripping his shirt collar, that must have been what Monique and Asante saw. That's the last spot I haven't been to… not since that night Kaz said coldly. Are you gonna go back alone? Lane asks him, I'll assume so Kaz says putting on his gas mask while sighing. I'll go with you Monique suddenly says, couldn't hurt to help right? Well, it could Kaz says, result in you getting eaten but anyway sure yeah he says, lane hands him and Monique an earpiece, and Mary and Asante will stay back and guide you guys through the cameras Lane says. Word up anonymous… let's go Kaz says, wait Asante stops them, I'll go to… I need to say boldly. Kaz takes out a Bowie knife and hands it to him but says nothing. The 3 of them leave Lane's house all getting into Asante's car and driving off. Monique looked out the window at the sunsets, she could see a flock of birds flying through the orange sky as the car drove through backroads. She turned to see Asante was slightly shaking as he drove, you got a nice ride dude kaz says smoking a blunt in the backseat. Are you seriously smoking weed? Monique asks seemingly annoyed. Of course, I am what you think I'm gonna March into the troglodyte Forrest sober? Monique rolled her eyes turning back to face forward in the passenger seat when the car slowly came to a stop on the edge of the backroads. The 3 got out and began walking up to the police station to see it was empty and the lights were out. Kaz approached the front door with Monique and Asante close behind him slowly opening it and entering. He shined the light from his assault rifle around when the lights suddenly turned on. he turned to see Asante had found a light switch which lit up the entire main area. There was a long desk going all the way around on the outside perimeter with 3 tables in the middle of the room. off to the side was a closed wooden door, the 3 began looking through files and papers on the desks. Kaz? Monique? Can you hear me? Lane says through their earpieces. Yeah loud and clear MGK Kaz responds, suddenly a cult member bursts through the window and grabs Kaz dragging him outside. Monique screams in response and Asante jolts back visibly horrified. The front door bursts open and officer porker walks in with a look of rage on his face, I knew it! I knew you fucking kids were behind it! He shouted. Now you all know the way to me… he's cut off by Asante punching him in the face, Asante yells before punching him again but gets blocked and hit in the jaw knocking him out unconscious. The knife falls out of his pocket sliding over to Monique, guys! What the fuck happened! Lane shouts over the earpiece. Kaz stands off outside with 5 cult members all holding swords, you guys just don't quit huh? He throws a knife quickly which lands in one man's throat dropping him down before taking out a deagle and firing shots off. The men scramble in different directions so Kaz takes off into the woods after them. Monique dives for the knife but porker kicks it away and kicks her in the face dropping her. She lays stunned on the floor when she's dragged by her ankles and picked up, porker begins carrying her out of the station and down a dirt path into the Forrest. Don't worry sweetheart, he waits until your dead before he eats porker says to her while she struggles to get free. Suddenly porker and Monique both fall after porker is slammed into from behind, she turns on the ground to see Lane standing over them with Mary running to catch up. Porker try's to get up but Lane knees his nose causing it to break which drops porker down again, he growls in anger mixed with pain before grabbing Lane and powering him into a tree. Porker punches lanes body repeatedly before punching his face multiple times, lane grabs onto porkers arms and they struggle momentarily when Lane hooks his fingers up into his injured nose and twists and squeezes as hard as he can. Porker shouts in pain causing him to stumble back as Lane and him struggle around. Porker kicks lanes leg causing him to fall to a knee but Lane gets up and slams his shoulder into porkers stomach trying to tackle him. Mary jumps on porkers back and claws at his face but gets thrown off falling onto Monique, porker then lifts Lane overhead and slams him down hard on the ground making a loud thud sound. Porker kicks lane multiple times in the body before getting on him and punching him in the face over and over. Porker then grabs Lane and drags him over to a tree and begins slamming him face-first into the tree over and over. After the 4th slam, Monique charges porker from behind and drives the Bowie knife into the back of his neck. Porker lets go of lane and begins choking and gagging as blood slowly comes out of his mouth, he stumbles around before collapsing onto the ground. Monique sits on the ground breathing deeply as Lane lays on the ground also taking deep breaths. she crawls over to him, lane! Lane! Oh my god, his face was cut and covered in blood, he also appeared to have a broken nose. Mary also comes to check in, where's Asante? Monique turns and looks at the station. Stay here she says to Mary before running off to the front door. She runs in and sees Asante getting up in a groggy state, she rushes over and hugs him for a while when Mary comes inside with Lane on her shoulder shortly after. What happened to Kaz? She asks, those cult people were with him they attacked Kaz and I think he chased them deeper into the Forrest Monique replied. Shit… Mary said quietly, what if there are more and they're coming right now? She asks with a look of fear on her face. We're gonna have to stay around and wait for Kaz and bring Lane to a hospital. Yeah but what about the fucking police officer you killed?! Mary exclaims that's gonna have to be discarded Monique says with a straight face. She walks outside but to her horrific shock porkers body was now gone, not a single trace of blood. They rush back inside and open the other wooden door which reveals an office room, ok take this Mary says handing Monique a pistol, I grab it off the cop it's fully loaded. I'm rushing him to the emergency room now she says before turning and rushing with Lane out of the station. Monique and Asante lock themselves in the office and sit down against the wall. You alright? She asks, yeah… that hurts though I'll be honest he says smirking. I remember when we were kids and you would cry about a horsefly or cry and snitch on me at family gatherings for hitting you with a pillow she says chuckling… and now look at you she proclaims, you tried to fight someone, a cop for fucks sake. Kaz goes through the pockets of the cult member lying on the ground, you guys are pretty fast we're in deep woods kaz says to the corpse. He suddenly gets a strong feeling he's being watched and he notices a slight humming noise coming from the necklace. Yo Kaz! There you are! Kaz froze after hearing the voice that called out to him… it was Roy's. What the fuck? He says softly turning to the direction he heard it, Kaz! Over here! Roy called out again. This time he sounded closer and more distinct, kaz took out two uzis and cracked his neck. After a few moments of complete silence, Kaz saw the trees sway slightly accompanied by heavy footsteps. Emerging from the darkness was an enormous wendigo with blue-tinted fur and long jagged horns. the creature's eyes were a bright red and it had massive claws on each hand. Tala… Kaz thought to himself, you should have stayed away Kazley Tala said in a dark deep voice. You got your friends killed already, and now you're about to get yourself killed. How about I whoop that ass? Kaz proclaims raising his guns, your soul won't be spared tala growls. yeah whatever Bambi Kaz replies, take these hollow tips and shut the fuck up he says before shooting. Tala quickly disappears running away and dodging all the bullets, Kaz follows him with the Uzis continuing to shoot but loses sight of Tala because of his incredible speed. Kaz takes the mags out and throws up two more in the air which magnetizes back into the Uzi. He aims looking around in a full circle when Tala lunges from behind him and stomps down on him, Kaz rolls out of the way and begins running deeper into the woods and shooting behind him. Tala chases after Kaz and the two continue deeper into the Freetown Forrest, kaz looks back to see Tala close behind him and raises his claws to swipe at him. Kaz hits a juke move quickly cutting sideways and running in another direction just as Tala swipes down at him. Tala misses but cuts cleanly through a large thick oak tree which begins to collapse in the direction of Kaz. Jesus fuck! Kaz yells before diving to the side just getting out of the way before the tree hits the ground. He gets to his feet and runs hide behind a tree, he peers around hearing Talas's heavy footsteps and growling but seeing no sight of him. Kaz takes out two large knives and begins climbing the tree stabbing his way up. He crawls out to the edge of a branch once he's about 30 feet above the ground and he switches his vision from night vision to thermal vision. He sees Tala walking around just under the tree he's on so Kaz takes out a retractable cable and sticks one end to the tree, you guys ready for this? Im gonna try and hit him with a cock stab. Kaz dives off the branch throwing the cable downward which wraps around Tala's arm and body, he takes out his katana machetes as he's falling slicing off one of Tala's antlers before quickly swapping them with Bowie knives. Kaz drives two knives into Tala's chest and stomach before taking out one blade and gashing Tala's thigh open spraying blood everywhere, tala try's swinging his other arm at Kaz but he dodges in mid-air flipping around and landing on his feet. Kaz throws a Bowie knife which lands directly into Tala's crotch, tala pulls his tied arm down and rips off big branches hanging from the tree which land on him. The branches rolled off Tala's shoulders like they weighed nothing, that didn't hurt. Do you have no balls? Kaz asks before Tala kicks him flying through the air, kaz lands by a tree and uses it to help him to his feet. Really? The football kick what are you Kareem hunt? Tala screams as he charges at Kaz lunging through the air but Kaz rolls out of the way and dodges, Kaz quickly runs at Tala climbing up his leg and up his back in a swift movement. He slices at Tala as he makes his way up causing the wendigo to flail around screaming. Kaz gets to his neck and slams a Bowie knife in Tala's left eye before sticking a retractable cable on Tala's chin which pulls his face aggressively down into the ground. Tala hits the ground before Kaz causing him to land on Tala's back, kaz jumps off and slices both of his katana machetes down on Tala's right arm cutting it off. Tala jumps up ripping the cable before turning and swiping his claws at Kaz which cuts him and sends him into a tree. Kaz sits against the tree unable to see as his gas mask lenses are all static and glitched out. He realized a chunk of the mask was missing so he took it off, he felt blood coming down his face and looked down to see he had small cuts on his torso and arms. He slowly got up to face Tala as the creature stood up with its arm now missing, blood was pouring from the amputation. Let's go you fucking cunt! Kaz screams at Tala before throwing 3 grenades at him. The explosions hurt Tala momentarily stunning him as Kaz charges forward throwing a grappling hook up that locks onto Tala's lower jaw. Kaz swings himself up dodging Tala's other arm swinging at him through mid-air, he kicks into Tala's face before firing a shotgun blast into Tala's chest. Kaz pulls back into Tala using the grappling hook which forces his mouth open. Kaz tosses multiple explosives down Tala's throat before unhooking his jaw and flipping over Tala's head falling behind him. He stabs one of his blades into Tala's back cutting a giant gash as Kaz slides down, tala screams and stumbles back before tripping on himself and falling. Kaz runs away and after about 3 seconds a huge explosion emits from Tala destroying every tree and bush around. Kaz gets lucky and finds cover behind a large rock which shields him from the blast. After a few minutes of silence, Kaz slowly creeps from around the rock to see smoke and fire spreading throughout the Forest. He then sees Tala sitting against a tree with half of his torso gone and bleeding Profusely. He makes his way over to Tala thinking he's dead when he turns his head to face Kaz, the wendigo is breathing very deeply and sharply. Times up fuck nut Kaz says taunting Tala with his blades. Wh… who… are… you? tala asks weakly. The guy you crossed Kaz replies, the guy the author picked to whoop your fucking ass. I just wanna know one thing… Kaz says, who is your god? He asks pointing the bade at Tala's face. The wendigo stared at him and to Kaz's surprise, this creature… tala, which is supposed to be an evil human-eating entity… seemed to have a look of fear in its eyes. They both stared at each other in silence for a moment before Kaz sliced Tala's neck with one blade, he waited a few seconds before slicing Tala with his blades over and over until eventually Tala's head fell off and rolled away.
Kaz takes a deep breath before looking around at the fire spreading, hm this looks familiar it's like there's always a fire whenever I show up. He started to notice a faint red glow that slowly started illuminating the Forrest, the glow overpowered the orange glow from the fire and began shining through the darkness. He looked closer in confusion but then it hit him, he was staring at the triangle. Kaz slowly approached the glowing red triangle holding both of his blades, as he got closer he could hear it making a low humming sound, similar to the sound the spiral necklace would make when there was danger near him. Kaz stops when he's arm lengths away from the triangle, it continues to buzz sounding like a Fluorescent light. What if Roy John or Felipe are in there? In thought to himself, is this what caused all of it? He extends his blade out getting closer and closer to the triangle. Upon the blade touching it, the triangles humming sound intensified and the light became extremely bright very quickly in seconds, the light abruptly darkened to reveal both Kaz and the red triangle completely vanished without a trace.
