A golden box!
Uchiha Yuan's heart leapt with joy. Previously, he'd only ever received white boxes upon leveling up. Just from the look of this golden one, it had to contain something extraordinary.
Eagerly, Uchiha Yuan opened it. Inside was something that looked like a ninjutsu scroll.
The moment his hand touched it, the scroll vanished, and a new skill appeared in his mind.
Skill Name: [Teleportation]Skill Type: Active Skill Skill Effect: Allows short-range spatial teleportation. Maximum jump distance is 100 meters. Usable both in reality and in game. Skill Cost: 10 Chakra Friendly Tip: Teleportation involves jumping between two spatial points and puts physical strain on the user. If the user's body isn't strong enough, they could be crushed by spatial pressure. It's recommended to use only after Constitution exceeds 30. Note: Teleportation levels up with use, and its effects will change upon leveling.
After reading the description, Uchiha Yuan could only think two words: "Divine skill!"
This was undoubtedly a god-tier ability. Spatial teleportation without requiring any medium—simply invincible.
Minato Namikaze's Flying Thunder God Jutsu required a marking. Sasuke's Amenotejikara involved object swapping. But this Teleportation skill needed nothing—just the will to jump to a location.
The only downside was the limited range: 100 meters max.
The Flying Thunder God had no such limitation.
Also, based on his current Chakra pool, Uchiha Yuan could only teleport twice, and his Constitution was still 6 points shy of the minimum threshold.
"If I'd known, I wouldn't have put so many points into Eye Power…" he muttered.
Uchiha Yuan had initially put most of his points into Eye Power. You couldn't blame him—having watched the anime in his previous life, the Sharingan had left a deep impression.
As the Uchiha clan's Kekkei Genkai, the Sharingan was a core element throughout the Naruto story.
In fact, most major plot turns were tied to the Sharingan.
There are five known forms of the Sharingan:
One-tomoe Sharingan
Two-tomoe Sharingan
Three-tomoe Sharingan
Mangekyo Sharingan
Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan
(Note: Rinnegan is technically no longer considered a form of Sharingan, so it's excluded here.)
The one-tomoe Sharingan enhances dynamic vision.
The two-tomoe form can perceive chakra flow, copy taijutsu, and offers some resistance to genjutsu.
The three-tomoe version can cast visual genjutsu to control opponents and copy ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu, as long as they're not Kekkei Genkai or secret techniques. The effectiveness depends on the user's learning ability, physical ability, and chakra nature.
As for the Mangekyo Sharingan, its powers become even more absurd. Each user awakens unique abilities based on their personal traits, and these techniques are extremely powerful.
Once one becomes familiar with the Mangekyo, it can even unlock the ultimate defense—Susanoo.
But the Mangekyo Sharingan comes with major drawbacks. Despite its powerful eye techniques, using them takes a severe toll on the user's vision and body, often resulting in blindness from overuse.
To use the Mangekyo without this burden, one must merge it with a blood relative's Mangekyo to awaken the next-level form—Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.
The Eternal Mangekyo is the pinnacle of Sharingan evolution. With it, the user can cast eye techniques endlessly without losing sight and unlock the complete Susanoo, wielding power akin to a god.
Faced with such overwhelming power, Uchiha Yuan obviously wished his Sharingan could evolve as soon as possible. He longed to awaken the Eternal Mangekyo tomorrow, pilot his Gundam (so to speak), and sweep across the ninja world.
But he quickly realized a problem he had overlooked: using the Sharingan also consumed chakra.
His chakra pool was previously too small—even activating the eye for a short time drained him.
Under those conditions, no matter how powerful his Eye Power was, it was meaningless.
It was like giving a baby a gun—he couldn't possibly use it to kill.
So, Uchiha Yuan started investing points into Chakra.
Initially, his Chakra stat was 19; now it was 27.
From his own testing over this period, 27 Chakra allowed for about five normal Fireball Jutsu uses.
Those extravagant, anime-style mega fireballs? Probably only two times, max.
Other C-rank Fire Style jutsu would be about the same, though Uchiha Yuan hadn't tested them yet. So far, the only jutsu he had mastered were the basic Three Techniques and Fireball Jutsu.
Over the past three weeks, he had tried learning other jutsu, but progress was slow.
To help with training, a few days ago he asked Uchiha Hiroshin for a chakra test paper to determine his nature.
He had expected to be Fire + Water or Fire + Wind—after all, his father was Fire/Water, and his mother was Fire/Wind. He should've inherited at least one.
The result surprised him: Fire, Water, and Wind—all three.
But chakra nature isn't fixed. How many natures one is born with doesn't matter much; others can be developed through training.
Take Naruto—he started with just Wind. Later, he gained all five plus Yang Release.
Sasuke, too, began with Fire and Lightning. By the end, he had all five plus Yin Release.
Having more natures early on just makes it slightly easier to learn corresponding jutsu.
But in truth, the main obstacle to learning jutsu isn't nature—it's talent.
Once again, Uchiha Yuan was depressed by his lack of talent. Real geniuses could learn a C-rank jutsu just by watching it once.
Despite all his hard training, he still hadn't fully mastered a single one of the C-rank jutsu his parents left behind.
Of the two C-rank Fire Style jutsu, he could now at least cast them—but the power was clearly lacking. They were incomplete.
The two C-rank Wind Style jutsu showed no progress.
He could create a Water Clone, but it didn't last long.
Ironically, the genjutsu was where he had the most success. Perhaps because he had focused on Eye Power early on, he had now fully mastered the D-rank Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique.
Unfortunately, the one-tomoe Sharingan offered no enhancement to genjutsu. Otherwise, with this technique alone, most genin wouldn't be able to resist him.
