Moonlight shines upon the deep but ever-changing landscape of the sea. Rich new lands and mysteries are waiting to be discovered by any old adventurer with a dream. Islands with vast, unexplored terrain filled with mythical creatures and lost civilizations with history as deeply rooted in the world as the mysterious trees far to the North, scattered around waiting to be discovered.
Beyond the fog, waves, and rain lies a singular boat. On that boat lies a tall boy who is about fifteen years old. His eyes glistened with a glow of blue radiance almost the color of the waves around the easternmost fronts of the far-off lands, his hair the color of the rich wheats of the Southern Continent with a dull sense of blandness that matched the land. The boy didn't know how he arrived on this ship, and he had no clue who he was either. All this young boy knew for certain was that he was searching for something far into the ocean. Something he treasured more than anything else.
The boy was deep in thought, attempting to remember anything about how he got into this situation or what he was searching for.
Could it be relics? The boy had thought with a quizzical look in his eyes.
No, that couldn't be right, it must've been treasure! He quickly relapsed into another possibility.
Could it be both? The boy finally decided that he would first search his tiny ship in an attempt to understand the situation he was in.
The ship is quite small, about the same size as a typical sloop, however, one key difference sets this strange ship apart from any other ships of the same era. This ship was lacking any form of sail, leading to complete stillness on the water. Only the slow currents of the deep ocean waves could guide this lonely vessel through the murky fog that encompasses the sea.
The boy slowly approached the cabin while being cautious to avoid any dangerous objects on the deck. The cabin door was about half a meter too small for the boy to fit through, leading to him having to duck into the cabin to gain entry without injuring his head on the door frame.
Inside the small cabin lay a single piece of paper on top of a small wooden cabinet. The cabinet was deeply rotted and well-worn. Marks and scuffs were able to be discerned, almost as if some liquid had been leaking onto it without any explanation. The boy keenly noticed a lock upon the southernmost drawer of the cabinet. The key shape was most unusual, almost in the shape of a skull, however, with a strange marking where both eyes were supposed to be. The boy gently attempted to pull the locked drawer's latch to no avail, but as he touched the drawer, he felt an inexplicable sense of pain in his forehead.
Knowledge quickly surged into his mind, filling the previous space with old but also new memories of his life. The boy, having remembered quite a few details about himself, muttered to himself in a tone nobody could hear but himself.
"Aaron?" The boy whispered in utter shock.
"My name is Aaron?" The boy uttered again with a look of realization dawning across his face.
The boy who had remembered his name was Aaron, quickly stood up when he accidentally hit his head against the short wooden ceiling. Aaron, measuring 1.9 meters in height[1], readjusted himself to fit the space in a more appropriate manner. As if it weren't even there, the boy moved the paper that was on top of the small wooden cabinet onto the floor with no regard for it, leading to it falling into a small puddle on the floor. The curiosity towards the mysterious paper and why he had forgotten his life had suddenly vanished as if it had been stolen by a mysterious, unknown power. However, Aaron understood why he was alone on a small wooden boat floating through one of the ten great seas of the world.
The boy had set out on his own, leaving behind his family, friends, and even his home for this reason,
Adventure.
