On her way back to her room, Eve couldn't stop crying, tears pouring relentlessly down her cheeks as she walked. Her chest tightened with every step, her emotions a chaotic storm she couldn't control.
She stumbled upon Roman on the way, and her expression instantly darkened. The sight of him stirred something raw…hatred, bitterness. Not wanting any interaction, she turned her back to leave, but before she could take a step, he called out gently, "Eve."
His voice, soft, concerned, made her pause.
"Don't call me that. I have told you countless times, don't use my name, don't speak to me, don't even look at me. We are no longer siblings. I made that very clear," she said in an icy tone, her fists clenched tightly at her sides.
"Did he make you cry again?" He asked calmly, unfazed by her hostility.
