Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Kicks, Jealousy, and That One Offer

---

It was a bright Saturday morning, and Ken was practically vibrating with nervous energy.

The annual city-wide Taekwondo showcase was about to begin. Ken's students had trained for months. This was their moment.

And Arashi?

He showed up twenty minutes late, in ripped jeans, a black jacket, and sunglasses, sipping coffee like he owned the entire hall.

Ken narrowed his eyes from the edge of the mat. "Late."

Arashi smirked. "Still hotter than everyone here."

"Try not to punch anyone," Ken whispered.

"No promises."

---

As the crowd filled in and exhibitions began, Arashi actually behaved. He sat in the front row, arms folded, eyes fixed on Ken the entire time.

Ken was in his element — instructing, correcting form, giving quiet praise. His usual soft nature transformed into calm, commanding presence.

Arashi found himself smiling.

But then—

"Ken!" a voice rang out after the final routine.

A tall, sharp-jawed man in a coach's uniform strode up, grinning like he owned Ken.

"Sensei Takeda," Ken greeted him with a respectful bow.

Takeda clapped a hand on Ken's shoulder. "Still as impressive as ever. You've grown into a fine instructor."

Arashi's eyes narrowed.

"You free later? I've got some wine in my office. We should talk more," Takeda added smoothly.

Ken laughed politely. "Actually, I'm with someone tod—"

Before he could finish, Takeda cut in again.

"In fact," he pulled out a folded document from his clipboard, "this is why I came. The Board wants to offer you the position to manage our new branch — full control, better facilities. It's a big promotion."

Ken blinked, stunned. "W-What? That's… that's a big deal."

Takeda leaned in slightly. "Think it over. The new academy's location is across the city, though. You'd have to shift. But for someone like you? Worth it."

---

Later, after the event, Ken and Arashi walked silently toward Ken's apartment.

Neither said anything.

Until Arashi muttered, "You going?"

Ken looked at him. "I don't know yet."

Arashi stopped walking. "You'd move away. Just like that?"

Ken turned to face him. "You think I'd just leave you?"

Arashi crossed his arms. "You looked happy. With him. And the offer."

Ken's brows furrowed. "Are you jealous again?"

Arashi looked away. "No."

"Yes, you are."

Arashi didn't answer. His jaw clenched. Ken sighed and stepped closer.

"I haven't decided anything. And I'm not choosing Takeda or some academy over you."

Arashi grunted. "But you might."

Ken leaned in and placed a hand on his chest. "You know what I want?"

"…What?"

"You. Us. Wherever I go, I want that."

Arashi looked at him for a long, breathless second.

Then quietly asked, "If you move… would I come with you?"

Ken chuckled. "Only if you promise not to punch every coach who smiles at me."

Arashi finally smiled. "No promises."
