Chapter 34 - chapter 34

📖 Chapter 34 – Everything Finds Us

POV: Dual – Ava & Julian .

Themes: Visibility, betrayal, personal reckoning, letters from the past, rising above

PART 1: THE DOCUSERIES AIRS (POV: Julian)

Midnight.

The first episode streamed globally.

By dawn, it had 2.3 million views.

---

PRAISE

"Unflinching. Raw. Revolutionary." — The Guardian

"A portrait of love that refuses to apologize." — IndieWire

"The couple rewriting taboo." — New York Times

DMs flooded in from therapists, artists, professors, teens, even former judges.

Some cried.

Some confessed.

Some thanked them for finally saying it.

Julian sat in their Brooklyn loft, scrolling through messages as Ava slept on the couch — wrapped in his hoodie, skin bare under a blanket, peace on her face.

He kissed her forehead.

> "We did it, angel."

---

BACKLASH

And then, like clockwork — the backlash.

Christian Coalitions called for the show's removal.

A university canceled Ava's keynote.

Anonymous threats returned.

Worse?

Ronan.

Julian's former best friend and music partner, posted a public "open letter":

> "Julian Hart betrayed every value we built our art on. This isn't boundary-pushing — it's narcissism disguised as rebellion."

> "I can't stand by a man who romanticizes incest."

---

JULIAN'S BREAKDOWN

Julian smashed his guitar.

Then just… sat in the wreckage.

Ava found him in the studio.

> "He was supposed to be my brother too," Julian whispered.

She sank to the floor beside him, pulled him into her arms.

> "You already have a sister. And she's not leaving."

---

PART 2: A LETTER FROM THE DEAD (POV: Ava)

That morning, Marina handed Ava an envelope.

> "It came from a private estate lawyer. Posthumous delivery."

Ava opened it with trembling hands.

It was from her mother.

Written months before she died.

---

THE LETTER

> "Ava,

I know I failed you.

I saw the way you looked at Julian. I saw him look back the same.

I was scared. Not of what it meant for you, but what it revealed in me — all the love I never had the courage to fight for.

Please don't live my silence."

> "If you love him… then love him out loud."

Tears blurred the last line.

---

THE SHIFT

Ava went live that night.

Unfiltered. Unscripted.

> "We've been called liars, degenerates, traitors to tradition.

But what if the tradition was wrong?"

> "We're not here to convince you.

We're here for the ones who already know what it's like to love someone the world told them not to."

> "You're not alone. Not anymore."

🔥 Chapter 34 Ends With:

Julian walks in just as Ava ends the livestream.

They don't speak.

They just collide — kiss hard, desperate.

He lifts her onto the counter. She wraps her legs around his waist.

They breathe into each other's mouths like they're anchoring one another.

And maybe they are.
