Chapter 15 - Fractures and Furies

The ruins of Craterhold smoldered under a bruised sky.

The echoes of battle still rattled in the air — broken chants, the clang of shattered steel, and distant screams.

Four boys stood amidst the wreckage, each marked by war, each wrestling with pain.

Daiki knelt on cracked stone, his fists bleeding from the strain of the Titan's Wrath.

His breath came in ragged gasps.

"I didn't know it would hurt this much," he muttered, voice hoarse.

Ren placed a hand on his shoulder.

"We win together, we bleed together."

Daiki looked up, eyes fiery despite the pain.

Brotherhood forged in blood.

Haru's Doubt

Haru's glowing eyes dimmed as he wrestled with the visions.

"I saw her — Ruth. She's not who we thought."

Ren's jaw tightened.

"We trusted her."

Haru shook his head.

"No. She's playing both sides. The Ministry and Vatican. There's a deeper game."

Ren's hand twitched near his sword hilt.

"We can't afford traitors."

Icarus stood apart, the crown now embedded into his skull like a second skin.

His voice was distant, almost hollow.

"This crown… it's alive. It speaks to me in my dreams."

Daiki frowned.

"Is it driving you mad?"

Icarus laughed — a sound both dark and light.

"Maybe. But madness or not, it's power. And I won't let it slip away."

The Ministry's Warning

Amid the ruins, a holographic message flickered to life.

An elder monk's face appeared — stern, tired.

"The Vatican has declared open war. They will not rest until the Four are broken or bound. Trust no one outside the Sanctuary. The Ministry's hand is tied — we will do what we can."

Ren clenched his fists.

"We need allies. But who?"

Politics in the Shadows — Vatican's Jealousy

Far away, in the Vatican's golden halls, cardinals gathered around a polished obsidian table.

The High Inquisitor slammed his fist down.

"Those boys threaten our dominion. The Ministry's meddling is an insult. We must strike with force — and cunning."

A shadowed figure smiled.

"We have a plan to fracture their bond."

Back with the boys, as they prepared to move out, Ren suddenly tripped over a broken pillar.

Landing face-first in the dust, he groaned.

Daiki laughed, clapping him on the back.

"Graceful as ever, wind master."

Ren wiped dirt from his face, deadpan.

"Watch out world — I'm the hero who falls over his own blade."

Haru snorted.

"Don't quit your day job."

A New Mission — Hunt or Be Hunted

With the Sanctuary lost, the Four had no choice but to flee.

Their mission was clear: survive, unravel the Vatican's plot, and protect humanity from the demon tide rising faster than ever.

But trust was fragile.

And in this world of old tech relics, holy war, and demonic conspiracies — the Four would need more than powers.

They needed each other
