(POV: Lin Tianxin)
"I really didn't mean to do it!" I shouted, holding Jiasheng's math homework that now had a big Doraemon face drawn on it.
"I left it for just five minutes," he said, staring at it like it was ruined, "and now my math has a moustache and funny eyes!"
"Your homework looked too boring," I whispered.
Zhou Rui giggled beside me. "Honestly, the drawing made it better."
Jiasheng sighed loudly and lay his head on the desk like he was defeated. "My life is over. I won't graduate. I'll be known as the boy with a Doraemon test."
"Stop being dramatic," Junxi said, walking by and messing up Jiasheng's hair. "You weren't going to do that homework anyway."
Jiasheng sat up fast. "Exactly! Hey—wait, what?"
Of course, all this noise got the teacher's attention.
"LIN TIANXIN! SHAN JIASHENG! LIN JUNXI! ZHOU RUI! OUTSIDE—NOW!"
The teacher's voice was so loud it shook the walls.
We all froze.
And just like that, we were standing outside the class, arms raised as punishment. My arms were already tired after just two minutes.
"I feel like I'm in a sad movie," I whispered to Zhou Rui.
"You're in trouble," she replied. "But it's kind of funny."
Junxi looked too relaxed and said, "This feels like a spy movie. We've been caught by the enemy."
Jiasheng turned to me with a smirk. "Hey, lil' bro. Thanks to your 'art,' we're now famous."
I stuck out my tongue. "You liked it."
He laughed and leaned a little closer. "Maybe. But next time, draw me with six-pack abs, not a fat belly."
"I just drew what I saw," I said with a wink.
The teacher peeked through the glass and glared at us again. We quickly looked serious.
After a while, we were allowed back in. My arms felt sore, but we couldn't stop smiling.
During lunch, Jiasheng started redrawing the homework again, adding even funnier things. Everyone joined in, even Zhou Rui. It became a funny group drawing.
And even though we got scolded and punished...
It felt like one of those days I'd remember forever.
