When he saw the notification, Liam even stood up spontaneously, watching the clock on his watch move so slowly as he waited for one minute to pass.
Fortunately, it was only one minute. Although time felt slow, it was easier to wait.
DING!
(You have obtained your second skill, an S-Tier Skill: Dead March. This skill allows you to summon the creatures you have killed to assist you!)
(Note: The creatures you summon can continue to live and level up on their own, but their kills will not be counted as your Battle Points!)
(Skills:
[Right Hand Transformation
[Wind Blade
[Dead March ])
'Awesome!'
Liam couldn't help but be fascinated when he saw the skill he had obtained. It was only considered S-Tier, but its ability was amazing.
Summoning the creatures he had killed meant he could call forth the Zombie PE Teacher and the black dog he had defeated. They would be extremely helpful.
Even if their kills didn't count toward his Battle Points, it didn't matter. He could still kill zombies and monsters himself while they made his actions easier.
"What? Is this like the principal's skill?" said Alex.
When he said that, Liam saw his body—which had already been nearly two meters tall—suddenly grow larger, reaching 2.5 meters.
Even his muscles looked more defined.
"What's your first skill?" Liam asked, somewhat curious about his ability.
"Some kind of physical enhancement. And this one's similar but makes my body bigger. It's not elegant at all," Alex replied, as if he wasn't too fond of making his body even larger.
"I think both skills suit you… Maybe in the future, you can become a giant," Liam chuckled.
He then turned to Lisa, curious about what kind of skill she had gotten.
When he looked at her, Lisa showed her hand, where her fingers had transformed into tree roots that then extended.
They even reached up to ten meters in length, but they were thin, giving the impression that they were easy to destroy.
"Tree power, huh? Not bad, but maybe hard to use for offense," Liam commented.
"I can channel my Mana through these roots," Lisa replied, as if displeased by Liam's seemingly dismissive tone.
"Ohhh…" Liam of course couldn't say it was useless if the roots could be used to channel her Mana full of vitality.
With that, Lisa could support others even from a distance.
"But Lisa, did your Battle Points increase?" Liam asked.
She hadn't killed any zombies yet, and it seemed like it would be hard for her to do so since she was a support type.
Liam wanted to know if there was a difference between a support type like her and a combat type.
"I get some Battle Points every time you kill a zombie after I've given you my Mana," Lisa answered.
"So that's how it is…" Liam finally understood.
By using support-type skills, someone could benefit from the kills made by the ones they supported without reducing the rewards for those fighters.
Maybe it was because their strength was essentially being borrowed by the supported combatants.
However, among combatants, the Battle Points would go to the one who dealt the final blow to the zombie or monster.
"Liam, what about your second skill?" Alex asked, also curious since Liam's first skill seemed incredible with the transformation of his right hand.
However, Liam found it a bit hard to explain this skill.
Besides, he had just discovered one problem.
His Mana was too low to use the skill. He was worried that he'd need to reach Level 2 first before he could activate it.
"You'll see later," he replied, choosing not to explain.
"Hahaha, look!" At the same time, Joel suddenly burst out laughing.
His chubby body flew into the air, supported by wind wings on his back.
It was his first skill, which had already impressed everyone.
Now, he wasn't just flying; he could also release small storms from each palm. Though not very large, the wind looked powerful.
Anthony, who had been hiding in the corner, also drew attention when he suddenly created a fire sword that looked quite solid.
However, Anthony didn't seem satisfied with just that.
He glanced at Liam from a distance, aware that both of his own skills were no match for Liam's right-hand ability—something that made him jealous.
Moreover, even the principal had obtained an impressive new skill.
His body could now grow larger, and this time, he could transform his entire body into liquid water.
With that water form, he seemed able to slip through even the tiniest cracks.
BANG!
While everyone was still caught up in the excitement of their new skills, a loud bang suddenly hit the door, shocking everyone.
The door shook violently from the impact.
"What was that?"
"Was it a stronger zombie?"
"It could be a monster!"
BANG!
Another blow struck the metal door, the tremor stronger than before.
The students began to panic, fearing the door might be breached.
"We can't go out through the door. That'll let the zombies in," one student said.
Just after he said that, Joel suddenly flew up higher to the roof of the warehouse, which had no ceiling above it.
Apparently, on the roof, there was a small window that could be opened.
"I can send someone outside. But once you climb down from the roof, don't go back up. That'll attract the zombies to the roof. To get back into the warehouse, you'll have to use the door," Joel said.
"Son, tie this up there!" Suddenly, the principal pulled a rope ladder from beneath a pile of desks.
It was the kind used on helicopters.
No one expected that it would be in this warehouse.
The principal tossed it up, and Joel caught it easily since the roof wasn't very high—only around ten meters.
Joel was, of course, happy to see the rope ladder. With it, he wouldn't have to fly every person out individually.
He quickly tied it to the roof.
"Who wants to go out first?" the principal asked once the rope ladder was secured.
When he asked, everyone hesitated—including Joel, who was flying.
"Joel, why don't you go? Weren't you so eager to get out?" one student suddenly asked Joel, making his chubby cheeks twitch.
Being the first meant facing unknown risks.
Just because Joel had the drive to grow stronger didn't mean he was ready to face those risks.
His flying ability wasn't yet perfect since he was still short on Mana. He might not be able to escape if surrounded by zombies outside.
Joel stayed silent, and so did the others.
"I'll go."
Liam was tired of waiting, so he stepped forward.
If others were afraid, he wasn't. He still had one card left for the worst-case scenario—a Tier 1 Life Pill.
To him, being the first was actually a golden opportunity to slaughter the Level 1 Zombies that were likely gathering outside.
If he could kill seven of them, he would level up to Level 2.
Things would get much easier after that.
