Chapter 1 - Prolog: Asahina Izumi

(Before we start, let me tell you something. As you can guess, my English is bad, and English is not my first language. So, I used a tool to translate this from my native language. There might be some wrong or missing words, if so please let me know, and I will fix it!)

.

"Alright, tell me who made rowdy just now?!"

In front of the class, Hiratsuka Shizuka crossed his arms under her chest. His gaze swept around the class, which was silent and not a sound.

Just now, the first lesson ended, and students could use the short time given to rest and/or refresh their minds after studying.

It's just that there are small rules that prohibit students to be noisy or make noise.

And that's what is happening right now. Where when Hiratsuka Shizuka was walking into the teacher's room, she heard a noise from class 1-B. His voice was quite loud, even he who walked at the end of the hall could still hear it.

That is why she is here right now, intending to find and punish people who make the noise.

It's just that, under the pressure of Hiratsuka Shizuka, the students only bowed their heads, not daring to answer at all.

Is it due to the intimidation of Hiratsuka Shizuka or for other reasons. But certainly, none of them intend to confess or tell.

"Because no one claimed ..." Hiratsuka Shizuka sighed, then looked around before his gaze was locked to the students in the back corner of the class, "Asahina, who was the mastermind?"

Asahina Izumi, who was reading the novel calmly suddenly looked up as soon as her name was called Hiratsuka Shizuka.

"I?"

"Yes, you. Anyone who was rowdy just now. Answer or you will also get into trouble."

Hiratsuka Shizuka commemorates. Of course, because he is one of the respected and feared teachers, that's why students choose to be quiet. They are afraid of having problems. Not only from Hiratsuka Shizuka, but also the mastermind behind all this.

"Oh, that, I know—" Izumi nodded slightly, her eyes looked around and one by one pointing to the troublemaker in the class just now, "Sudo, Ike, and Yamuchi. The three of them were too noisy to bother me reading."

"What—!"

"No, that's a lie!"

"We don't do it!"

The three students called Izumi, each denied with a panic expression on their faces.

Of course, their denial was useless because Hiratsuka seemed to believe in Izumi's words.

"I see, I understand," Hiratsuka Shizuka nodded, before averting his gaze to the three. "For the three of you, follow me to the teacher's room now."

Her command was clear, he would not tolerate the bad behavior of the students he taught.

"Good ...."

Answer the three in a low voice.

Then, Hiratsuka Shizuka walked out of the classroom, followed by the three troublemakers just now.

Although, before they left, the three looked at Izumi with an expression of hatred on their faces.

For Izumi himself, he doesn't care. He only answered what he knew, and he did not care how they react to his honesty.

"Looks like they hate you, Asahina-kun."

Narasaka Maaya, who sat on his right suddenly opened the chat. She looked at Izumi with an amusement expression, even though his gaze contained a little concern in it.

"I do not care. According to the law of causality, every consequence must have a cause. They are scolded by Hiratsuka-sensei because they are noisy, it cannot be avoided."

"..., I can never understand what you said." Maaya was silent as he sighed, holding his temple.

"By the way, you're not afraid of them-especially that you are? Maaya looked at Izumi worriedly.

As a socialist person and has many friends, Maaya has heard various rumors from his friends. Rumors about one of their classmates—Sudo Ken—also heard several times.

Of course it's not a good rumor, because almost all rumors about it are about disputes with basketball clubs or fights with seniors at the club.

That of course made Maaya worry about Izumi. As far as she knows, Izumi is a loner who almost has no friends. But, he is a good person and is easy to get along with, so Maaya likes to chat with him occasionally.

"Are you worried about me?" Izumi closed her book, staring straight into Maaya's eyes.

In staring like this, Maaya's face immediately turned red.

Although Izumi is an anti-social person, but he is actually quite handsome, and his face also has a firm and calm expression.

"Of-Of course not, don't be too confident!" Maaya denied it, shifting her face in the other direction.

If she was not stuttered when he said that, her words might sound convincing. It is just ....

"So." Izumi smiled a little, before finally focusing attention again on her book.

Seeing Izumi did not discuss this further, Maaya sighed in relief. It's just that when he saw him back focusing on his book, Maaya became upset!

Hey! There is a beautiful girl who wants to chat with you, and you prefer to read books?!

And is that a novel?! How can you read a novel at school?!

Maaya complained in her heart. Although her complaint was clearly unknown to Izumi. There is even if Izumi knows, he will only expect his shoulders and not think about it.

When the second lesson began, three students brought by Hiratsuka Shizuka had previously returned to class. Even so, their facial expressions are so pale, proving the "punishment" they can clearly not be as simple as mere apology.

At the same time Sudo Ken, continued to steal a glance at Izumi. Not for reasons like or anything, but for other reasons.

Previously, Izumi who complained about Hiratsuka Shizuka, and because of that she had to write ten thousand words of apology that had to be completed tomorrow.

In this class, no one dared to complain. No matter whether he fights with other students or skipping class, no one dares to do with him.

But, one person clearly did not follow the rules. And Sudo Ken swores to give him a lesson ....

Meanwhile, on the Izumi side ....

[Ding! The number of words read today is 10,000 words.]

[Happy! You get "Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu"]

While Izumi's view focused on the book on the table, her mind focused on something else.

'Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, huh?'

As far as he knows, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial arts and a battle system that focuses on locking techniques, graplers (wrestling), and battles on the ground.

(P.S: Correct me if I'm wrong)

The essence of BJJ itself is how a person can defeat bigger or stronger opponents by using techniques, leverage (body levers), and strategies, not mere strength.

In other words, this martial art is very suitable if you have a small body and don't rely too much on strength.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu himself is designed so that people who are smaller or weaker can overcome and/or blame a stronger opponent. Of course some conditions are still valid in this regard.

For example, if you can control the position of the opponent instead of fighting it directly. Then use the body's leverage, like how you use the opponent's weight and make it lose balance and fall.

The focus of this self -defense itself is on the ground, which muscle strength does not always determine the results of the winner. That's because this martial arts itself has many locking and strangling techniques that make the opponent surrender, even if they are stronger.
