Chapter 3 - Tricking the Loli

In the world of Championes, where everything revolves around Heretic Gods and God-killers, the phrase "everyone beneath the Gods are ants" isn't just a metaphor, but the essence of this reality.

Kaido, the protagonist, had received a God-Killer Team in his first Crossing, placing him in a unique position in this world. The girl before him, Erica, was the original heroine and a Grand Knight of the Black Copper Cross.

"Still not talking? I've already introduced myself. From a knight's perspective, the next step is to answer the lady's question," Erica said with a charming smile.

Kaido decided to play dead at first, but Erica wasn't fooled. "Oh, you don't know? But the magical reaction just now couldn't have been fake. Although I don't want to make that assumption, those three thugs just confirmed that you suddenly conjured a silver spear."

Erica flashed an intelligent smile and continued, "A normal person's first reaction to seeing thugs isn't to provoke them, right? Are you a mage? Or a priest of some evil religion? Are you trying to summon a Heretic God to sow chaos?"

With people coming and going on the street, Kaido, standing next to Erica, was quite displeased.

"If we fight here, the police will probably think we're crazy."

Holding the True Longinus, he felt a little more confident.

No matter how strong Erica was, she was only an ordinary Grand Knight, still far from the power of a God-Killer Team.

"That's quite a problem. It would be difficult if passersby saw my awkward posture," Erica mused, but then added, "But what if I accused you of indecency right here? Even you would find it difficult, wouldn't you?"

Kaido's opportunity to act was completely blocked now.

As a prestigious nobleman from Milan's upper echelons of society, if Erica accused him of public indecency, thirty to fifty police officers would surround him in the next second.

Even if he did nothing, black could turn into white.

Crucially, Kaido was a completely unregistered person; once investigated, he would be socially dead, causing a lot of problems.

"Alright, alright... I surrender. I'm just an ordinary mage who snuck in."

Kaido shrugged, feigning helplessness.

"I feel like you're lying to me. Are you taking me for a fool?" The beautiful blonde had a suspicious expression.

I grew up in the deep mountains, and by the time my generation arrived, my Magic Society was left only to me. Kaido sighed without changing his expression, looking at Erica with a sincere gaze.

"Only you were left?" Erica appeared thoughtful. Kaido's situation was common, as small societies were becoming increasingly scarce due to lack of funds and repression from large organizations. "But you seem to be Eastern, right? Why did you come to Italy?"

I was ostracized. You don't... don't you know about a sect called the Sacred Cult of the Five Mountains in my country?

He had originally wanted to say that the reform and opening-up policies did not allow spirits to become human, but he immediately changed his words, pouring a bucket of dirty water on Queen Luo Hao whom he had never met.

"That's right."

Erica's attitude and expression softened, and her gaze towards Kaido filled with pity and helplessness.

My uncle told me about the prestige of the Master of the Sacred Cult of the Five Mountains, Luo Hao. They say she's a very cruel monarch. Those who look at her with presumption have their eyes ripped out, and those who hear her voice have their ears cut off...

The fourteen-year-old loli knight had already imagined Kaido being pursued by the Sacred Cult of the Five Mountains throughout his country because he saw Luo Hao's true face.

Upon hearing the loli say that, Kaido suddenly felt a chilling sensation that someone was watching him from behind.

It was fine when he was looking from outside the screen, but now it was genuinely a bit scary.

After all, Luo Hao was a real person. Who knew if there would be spies here who would inform her, and then she would cross the sea to hunt him down.

Erica had no prejudice against undocumented immigrants with criminal backgrounds; on the contrary, Kaido's attractive face earned her quite a bit of goodwill.

A man who defies tyranny and oppression, willing to endure hardships to fight, is admired by almost all women.

Guys need to protect themselves when they go out. If you encounter thugs in the future, hit them hard.

Erica raised her fist.

Her previous arrogance had completely disappeared, as if she had forgotten that she was the one interrogating Kaido.

"Well, if there's nothing else, I'm leaving now. It could be dangerous if too many people see me."

Kaido continued his lie, making it as pathetic as possible.

"I heard there are a lot of mosquitoes in the park, so I first need to find a place to sleep tonight."

"Huh? You don't even have a place to stay?" Erica thought Kaido was only running a small risk, but she didn't expect his life to be so difficult.

"After all, I don't know the place, and magic can't be taught to ordinary people, and I don't have a passport, so I don't have a single cent." Kaido assumed with a bitter smile.

"Then I..."

Erica paused for a moment, and the compassion in her eyes intensified. She asked with slight hesitation.

"If you're willing, how about you stay at my house?"

Kaido's eyebrows furrowed. Was this the legendary technique of the loli sugar baby?

"Is that... appropriate? After all, inviting a man to your house."

This was the only chance to interact with the story's protagonist.

Otherwise, if he wandered aimlessly, perhaps he wouldn't even glimpse a God of Disobedience.

The man who can lay a finger on me, Erica Brandelli, has yet to be born. And helping you is only out of compassion and for my own good.

Erica covered her mouth and chuckled softly, her beautiful eyes curving like crescent moons.

I have several properties. You'll stay there, not with me. You just need to help clean the rooms occasionally.

Erica wasn't a shy woman easily.

Although she sympathized with Kaido, she still had some doubts.

Anyway, she wasn't short of money, so she might as well keep him under her watchful eye.

If there were no problems, she would consider hiring a handsome butler. If there were, she would solve them then.

"That's too much trouble." Kaido felt a little regretful that they couldn't live together, but at least he had achieved his goal.

It's no trouble. You and I simply have an employer-employee relationship, not a master-servant one.

Erica turned gracefully, as if not giving Kaido the chance to refuse.

"I'll take you there first."

Along the way, Erica nodded constantly and greeted people, a young socialite in Milan.

Also, observing her figure, she seemed overly developed; what should be large was large, and what should be small, small. Following Erica, Kaido could vaguely distinguish the shape of her hips under her skirt.

So perfect it's impossible to guess she was only fourteen this year.

The two walked towards a less crowded street.

Erica finally had time to chat with Kaido.

"Won't people gossip if I'm with you?" asked Kaido.

"Those who don't know me will think you're my servant, and those who do know me will think you're a companion of the Black Copper Cross."

Erica swayed her long crimson dress, walking forward.

Men who want to pursue me could line up from Milan Cathedral to Venice Street. I have that confidence.

"So you have no plans to fall in love?" Kaido laughed. After interacting with her, he felt that Erica wasn't as aggressive as in the anime.

On the contrary, as a member of high society, not facing someone when meeting them was the biggest flaw in social etiquette.

Erica was definitely not an idiot who liked to make enemies everywhere.

While it's undeniable that she possesses beauty that far surpasses ordinary people, I never use it to gain praise or benefits from others. A person's perfection also depends on their inner talent.

"Combining beauty and talent, that's the real Erica Brandelli."

The confident excited girl, reminiscent of a vibrant lioness.

"This loli has great potential for cultivation."

Kaido thought playfully to himself.

However, compared to intimate contact with a beautiful girl, he was now more concerned with the main issue of the world.

The Heretic Gods who are based on mythology but do not conform to it.

To firmly establish himself in this world, becoming a God-Killer was undoubtedly the only path.

If he had to start from scratch now, it would definitely be better to stay as far away as possible from the Heretic Gods.

But now that he had a God-Killer Team and the Witch's Book, Raziel, by his side, Kaido began to consider the idea of challenging the Heretic Gods.

He was not a local resident but a transmigrant, so his thoughts were naturally more active.

What's the difference between having strength and not using it and being a dried-up fish?

"We're here."

Erica's voice brought Kaido back to reality.

What appeared before him was a luxurious mansion, with an area of four hundred to five hundred square meters. In Milan, where land was extremely expensive, the price would undoubtedly be prohibitive.

"It's fantastic to be rich."

Kaido unknowingly voiced his true feelings.

In today's society, having money certainly makes many things easier, but there are also many things that money cannot solve.

Erica let out a tinkling silver-bell laugh.

Having been in the Black Copper Cross since childhood, she had witnessed many extraordinary things.

"No matter how much money or how large your house is, encountering a Heretic God is much less important than an object that saves your life."

The door of the private mansion was firmly shut. The girl went to the door, rummaged inside, and then pulled a silver key from between her breasts.

Kaido decided to pretend he saw nothing.

Inserting the key into the lock, with a sharp click, the mansion door swung open, welcoming its owner and new guest.

"You can choose any room except the one at the end of the second-floor hallway." Erica yawned. "I've already ordered takeout, so just open the door when it arrives. I'm going upstairs to sleep for a while."

Her elegant figure swayed and disappeared upstairs, confidently leaving the place to a stranger she had just met.

Kaido shook his head helplessly. Fortunately, he was a good young man born under the banner of socialism; otherwise, living with a busty loli, it would be difficult to avoid doing things that would lead to a three-year sentence.

He deliberately chose a bedroom far from Erica's room.

After closing the door, he opened the Witch's Book and materialized the True Longinus in his hand.

He had expected to be limited by Balance Breaker, but to his surprise, he found that he could freely use the Polar Night Longinus Chakravartin and True Longinus Götterdämmerung states, except for the True Idea, which he still could not manifest.

Just when he hadn't been happy for a few minutes, Kaido realized that he was still too young.

Using Balance Breaker required consuming his own magical power, and the consumption was undoubtedly enormous.

In his current state, he could only maintain Balance Breaker for a few minutes at most.

"So I really have to be a real man for three minutes?"

Kaido complained.

Then he began to apply the knowledge in his mind, step by step.

God-killer teams were strong, but they depended on the user.

Moreover, if there were any information about a God of Disobedience, he could also find out a little about Erica.
