Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Chapter 1

*Boom!* - a multitude of clouds appeared in the sky without you even noticing, although it had recently been clear and cloudless.

Otto stood by the window, calmly observing what was happening outside. This view reminded him of the times when he was young and fought with giant waves in the sea. That feeling when nothing depends on you, and death can overtake you at any moment, always inspired fear in him. It was for this reason that, having gone ashore one day, he decided never to return to sea travel.

He hated the sea, and therefore he hated the sky outside the window, because those dark clouds were exactly like those waves that once inspired fear in him. But now he was no longer the same young man as before. There was no longer any fear in his gaze, because an unprecedented calm had come in its place.

In the reflection on the transparent glass, one could see his image - a plump middle-aged man with rather short arms and legs, a round head, and dressed in a strict black and white suit. This image made him look somewhat comical, somewhat reminiscent of a penguin.

*Knock-knock.* - a knock was heard at the door.

"Come in," came Otto's voice, and though it was harsh, the hoarseness of his voice gave it a peculiar softness.

*Creak.* - the solid wooden door creaked open and a young man entered the room, although it would be more correct to call him a boy.

He looked to be about twelve or thirteen years old, his face still retained childish features, but his height was quite impressive - he was only slightly shorter than Otto, reaching almost 170 centimeters. The boy was wearing a perfectly ironed black suit with a tie. His jacket was unbuttoned, showing a white shirt, and the sleeves were rolled up.

His black hair was carefully pulled back into a ponytail and fell to his waist. His face was pale and his features were impressively handsome. However, what caught the eye most were his eyes - bright red, like the blade of a knife after a murder.

This boy made a strong impression.

"Sir," the young man closed the door behind him, approached Otto, and keeping a respectful distance, bowed: "Everyone is ready."

The boy's eyes softened as if he had put his blade back in its sheath. It was obvious that he was a very proud young man, but standing before Otto he suppressed his pride, bowing respectfully to his master.

"It's going to rain soon," Otto said with a sigh, looking at the clouds gathering outside the window.

"It's for the best," the corners of the young man's lips lifted in a cruel smile, and when he raised his head, cruelty flashed in his eyes: "After all, this city needs to be cleansed."

"I hate the rain," Otto turned around, took his cane from the stand, and the boy immediately took his coat from the hanger and threw it over the gentleman's shoulders.

"But you can't avoid storms in life!" Otto said, opening the door.

He walked down the corridor, past a multitude of servants who bowed respectfully to him with smiles on their faces. Then he opened the door of the house, outside of which a huge crowd was waiting, ready to wait for him as long as it took.

"If that's the case," at that moment Otto's recently calm gaze flashed with even greater cruelty than that of the guy accompanying him: "Let this storm become even stronger!!!"

The young man standing behind him, hearing these words, smiled in indescribable excitement.

.....

The battle broke out and the enemy was taken by surprise.

It was supposed to be that way. Almost thirty years ago, Otto was one of the pirates. After which he became the head of the mafia, which controlled the entire city in the South Blue.

Although looking at his life, he could not be called great, he was satisfied with it. The only thing that worried him was the man who was also trying to establish control over this city. Their feud had lasted so long that neither of them remembered how or when it all began. They only knew that starting an open war between them would result in mutual destruction, so they tried to avoid extremes.

For this reason, Otto was surprised that his enemy had recently begun to show unprecedented aggression and activity. He constantly attacked Otto's business, committing robbery and destruction. And now, finally, the chance came to strike a decisive blow and take the city under his complete control.

But suddenly Otto realized what was going on. He was standing in an empty building with his men, but the room seemed too empty. There should have been many more people here.

"Tell me why, Louis," Otto said without turning around. "Have I not treated you well enough? Or have I disappointed you as your boss?"

The smile disappeared from the boy's face, he took a step back and said, "Otto-san, you are a great leader. But unfortunately, I was a planted spy from the very beginning."

At that moment, the people standing in the circle raised their weapons, aiming them at Otto's back.

"It turns out that traitors have infiltrated my family so deeply...", Otto sighed. In response, more people raised their weapons, this time pointing them at the traitor.

"Ha-ha-ha-ha! Otto, this boy Louis was my man from the start!" a boastful laugh rang out, and a tall figure of a man emerged from behind the crowd. More people rushed into the hall from all sides, surrounding Otto and his men from all sides.

"Hard to believe, isn't it? This boy came to me and offered his services. I told him to take you out, and to my surprise, he actually did it. Quite a capable kid, isn't he?"

"With him..." Otto finally turned around, looking at Louis with regret: "Don't you feel like you've chosen the path of humiliation?"

"Master Ordo will be a fine leader," the boy replied coldly.

To which Otto said with even greater regret: "It's a pity, I thought you would be a good successor."

Otto shook his head, he had no children or loved ones, as he did not want his loved ones to live in this rotten world.

"It's no use talking. Prepare to die, Otto! Today's downpour should wash you away!" Ordo laughed.

"Are you so sure about that?" Otto shook his head again, looked at Louis and said with pity: "It's a shame you chose the wrong side."

*Whistle!* - despite Otto's appearance, he moved with incredible speed. And with a whistle, like a heavy projectile, he hit Louis with his cane.

The boy lost consciousness and his body flew off, knocking down several mafiosi and breaking through the wall, disappearing into another room. When Otto decided to act, he gave no quarter to anyone.

"How strong!!" Ordo exclaimed in surprise: "You...!"

The strength Otto demonstrated was far greater than his opponents expected.

"Everyone should have their own trump card," - having easily destroyed the traitors surrounding him, Otto did not even lose his breath: "What's wrong with you, are you in a stupor?"

"Damn it! You sneaky bastard! So you had something like this in mind all along, huh?!" Ordo felt humiliated. As a man of great power, he preferred to stay in the shadows and maintain a delicate balance. But now, there was clearly some hidden purpose to his actions.

"But it doesn't matter, there are many more of us!" Ordo pulled a long blade from its sheath: "All together, kill him!!!"

"AAAH!!!" - the crowd of people rushed into battle.

"Damn!" Otto clenched his teeth. He wasn't strong enough to ignore the enemy's numerical superiority.

An incredibly brutal battle ensued. And while the unsuspecting townspeople slept peacefully in their homes, the two factions fought for the future of their city.

"Phew... phew..." Otto stood, breathing heavily, his foot resting on Ordo's neck. His men were slaughtered, but Ordo's men were also destroyed. And despite the enormous losses, Otto emerged victorious.

Smiling, he said, "Ordo, you have ruined my plans, it is unforgivable."

"Forgive me, forgive me Otto!" Ordo howled helplessly, unable to move: "I was wrong, I give up! The city is yours! It's all Louis, that boy, he shot me down, it's not my fault!"

"What are you talking about, Ordo?" Otto smiled softly, "You should learn to take responsibility for your actions."

*Krr!* - he pressed hard on Ordo's neck, breaking his spine.

"Ugh," Otto scratched his head in irritation and wiped the blood from his hands. Even for him, this battle had been hard.

"Now I don't have enough people. And even if I capture the Ordo territory, it will be difficult to subjugate it." Otto thought about what he should do next: "Will I be able to complete everything before the appointed time?"

"Otto-san, if I were you, I wouldn't rush to think about it," a shadow suddenly flashed behind Otto, and a powerful fist fell on his back.

"What?" Otto turned around sharply, but it was too late. He only heard a whistle, which told him that his opponent was incredibly strong, and the only thing he could do was to put out his cane to defend himself.

*Trrrr!* - but it didn't help. The cane split into two pieces, and a sharp pain pierced Otto's back. Bones cracked, and his body flew to the side.

"Louis... you little bastard!!!" Otto struggled to get up from the ground, barely believing his eyes: standing in front of him was that same boy Louis, whom he had hit earlier, thereby throwing out of the room.

"You want to avenge Ordo?" Otto gritted his teeth. "What was it about him that attracted you?!"

"No, don't get me wrong, Otto-san. My target from the very beginning was you," Louis brushed the dust off his clothes.

Despite being thrown back earlier, he was completely unharmed. He then adjusted his tie and continued, "Your power and influence are too great for me to take you down alone. That's why I needed Ordo as external support."

"Who the hell are you?" Otto suddenly rushed forward, and despite his severe injuries, he tried to strike with his fist with incredible force.

"Tekkai." Louis didn't dodge, but a smile appeared on his face.

*Boom!* - a crushing sound was heard.

"W-what?!" Otto couldn't believe his eyes. His blow didn't cause any harm to the boy: "Who the hell are you?!"

"Tekkai," Louis clenched his right fist, and from the side it seemed like his hand turned into steel.

He struck Otto in the chest with terrifying force.

*Krr!* - the sound of breaking bones echoed throughout the room. Otto flew to the side, hit the ground, and blood spurted from his mouth.

"It looks like you're seriously injured, Otto-san." Louis was in no hurry. He calmly walked up to Otto who was lying on the ground and chuckled. "Normally, I wouldn't dare take your blow even with Tekkai. But I was lucky."

"Cough!" Blood gushed from Otto's mouth. He could barely move, let alone get up. "Who are you... who are you?"

"I told you," Louis picked up the pistol from the ground, slowly inserted a round into the clip and spun the weapon in his hand. Then, pointing the barrel at Otto's head, he said with a cold smile, "I'm a spy."
