I don't even get it, why would you even play like that, it's not a power move, didn't he see it? or did he miss it? Or is it a trap? But anyways, you lose' Ikmute thought to himself and then proceed to play queen to f7 check which couldn't be captured by the king because it was being protected by a pawn, his opponent played queen to f7 thereby taking the queen, Ikmute sigh "what a waste of my time", "what did you say" his opponent said looking at him, Ikmute sigh again "I resign, this game is just a waste of my time, you aren't even worth playing against" everyone was confused and baffled by what Ikmute was saying "Are you sure, this a competition you know?" said the referee incharge of the game "leave him be, he certainly has a little bit of smarts as he as understood that he can no longer be on per with my unprecedented intellect" Ikmute opponent said feeling himself "I thought nobles are supposed to be smart, if not, I thought they weren't supposed to be dumb" Ikmute said striking back at him "Contestant please be civilized, any more words will lead to disqualification" said the referee, "I resign, peacefully" Ikmute stood up, took his jacket and was ready to getting ready to leave "Next time, it will do you well not to waste my time you lousy commoner" said the opponent, Ikmute sign again and said "pawn to f7" and left the venue, the noble then looked at the board and found out that that move was actually a checkmate and proceed to start saying big words and barking at Ikmute from afar.
I don't even know why I bother anymore, I can't seem to find anyone better at me at chess, maybe I should just give it up' Ikmute thought to himself while walking to where he parked his bike. Calling "Hey, how did your chess game go?" Lulu said over the phone "as usual, everyone thinks they know what there doing but in the end, they don't" Ikmute said in a proud low voice "you really need to stop thinking ya a main character or something Ikky" "but I am, remember vendetta?" "Keep telling yourself that okay, one day someone will come along and beat ya ass up" "yea yea, in a million years or so and I'll be long gone by then if I haven't figure out immortality yet" "I think i've found the perfect person for you" Ikmute stopped and them let out a slight sigh "I knew there was a reason being this call, lemme guess, she plays chess?" I walked in and found the same old atmosphere as it was as I left just 30 min ago, I walked over to the blits section because I couldn't stand the slow thinking of some player, apparenlty the noble I forfitted againist was play against a lady in the blits section, I wonder why he even bother but he was the strongest player in the room so maybe it's expected, 'who is he playing againist' I walked over to watch the game and for at first I thought he was winnig because he's opponent had less than 14 seconds on the clock while he had 45 which made me wonder what she was doing wasting so much of her time and just when she got to 10 seconds, I caught a smirk on her face as she started playing alot more faster than usual, they kept on trading pisces until most were off the board leaving only a few left in just 30 seconds of play, which bought 3 seconds of her time and 27 of his, leaving him with less than 18 seconds on the clock "time's ticking, your move" she said to the noble and then he played a check move "check" he said with a smile on his face" the girl looking at him, laughed and stood up "I resign, clearly I'm not match for your superior intellect" she said offering him an handshake, "clearly you know your place, very well" he stood up and accepted her handshake. Ikmute, watching the game couldn't help but notice that she was indeed winning as moving her piece out of harms way would have lead to a fork which would eventually lead to her winning the game. "Knight to f7, a discovered check on both the king and the bishop, thereby leaving the queen open to an attack by the rook, therefore losing the queen and in the process, winning the game" I said looking at the chess board and then proceed to look at eh two of them "huh?! You again!" the noble said looking confused and angry "you know, you shouldn't bust into people's game like that" said the lady in yellow "that wasn't a chess game, that was just a test run, you used him to test your strength, am I right miss…"
"Nobody , and you are? Oh oh! Let me guess, Ikky right?" I was surprised how she could tell it was me but then again, Lu must have said a lot to her about me and she is really good at describing people "Lulu told me to watch out for someone like you, so what's your deal? Too many failed relationships and now you all moody and dark for some reason" from her response, I could tell she wasn't the slightest bit interested in romance, more like a mad scientist ogling over some new found specimen to research on "who do you people think you are?! I'll make sure that you never set foot in another chess tournament ever again you lousy commoners!" the noble said directing it towards both of them but they just ignored him and went on with there conversation and proceed to leave the venue "If you truly want to test your intellect, i suggest you play a game with me" I said demanding a game on point "I would accept your offer, but, you have to promise to go all out at first" said the mystery lady with a smile "I always go all out with an opponent I deem worthy of it" "then I hope I'm worthy enough".
We finally left the venue after apologizing to the referee and the whole chess community, "Let's go, we'll take my jeep" She said this which made me ask "go where?"
"The park silly, plus I'm not getting on that 2 wheeler for whatever reason" "I don't following a stranger into her car is a good idea" I said with a straight face and she laugh and looked at me "I don't think I can overpower any one with these little hands" "I tend to not underestimate anyone until I'm certain, my lil sis is one of those exception, but anyways, I'm not getting in the same car with an inconnu" "whatever you say Ikky, well then, meet me at the park, and don't keep a lady waiting too long" she said and proceed to enter her jeep and drove off to towards the park, it wasn't even far off from the venue, at least a hundred to a hundred and fifty steps, anyways I just decided to walk it.
Finally I reached the park and saw her sitting on one of the benches with a chess board on it. She left her jeep parked on the road which was obviously going to get her a ticket,but it looked like she didn't care one bit "IKKY!! OVER HERE!!" she said shouting my near from a near distance, I looked down to hide the shame from people looking over at me and walked towards her "You don't have to shout, I saw you clearly" "hmmm, or are you just jelly with being alone with a beautiful lady in the park this late" she said looking at me with a smile "It's 5:45 and which beautiful lady are you talking about?" "aww look at that, It joke's" she said back looking at me like I'm some baby that just learned how to speak "white or black?" I said trying to move on with the game "I dunno, what difference does it make" she said with the most serious straight face I've ever seen "you don't know the dif…." 'Oh , she's trying to get me off my game so she can easily catch me off guard, it might work against a noble, but not me' I thought to myself and proceed to let her go first "Ladies first'' she then turned the board facing black and proceed to play the first move "I prefer black, it's somewhat my lucky color'' at this point I was completely confused, "but..... You have to play white first" 'was she just lucky throughout her game with that guy' "do you really know how to play the game? I just have to ask?" "yes I do, you just have to win in the end right" I sigh and just continue to play her games. 10 moves in and to my surprise she's really good, but for some reason, she seems to be holding back, I have to get her to play her fullest "Are old are you?" "211" she said while still focusing on the game "are you for real right now or is that something you do all the time" I said looking directly at her as she played her move and looked back "oh sorry, I was lost for a sec there, I'm 21 what about you?" she said while focusing on the game "you are still holding back aren't ya?" "that doesn't answer my question" "19, and what's your name?" "I don't know, you tell me" she said as she adjusted her hair to the side "I'm not good at naming people" I said and then played my move, she looked at the board and played a nice move that took out both my queen and my bishop while only losing her queen "okay I'll tell you my real name if you beat me in this game and answer any one question you have correctly" "that means you'll go all out starting now" she smiled "what makes you think I haven't been going all out" 20 moves in and we were already in the endgame, I had only 2 rooks and 7 pawns, she on the other had 2 rooks, a white tile bishop and 7 pawns "your move" I said she played rook to e2, I returned with pawn to g4, she played rook to d2, having both rook on the back rank and my king was sitting quitely on b1 but checkmate wasn't possible cus of my two rooks was protecting the spot, we kept on playing till most of our pawns were off the board and then she went for the winning game and played rook to b2 check, I moved my king to c1, escaping but she just kept on checking and checking me, at this point, I knew it was pointless to keep striving cus the game was already in her hand, she was winning, but one thing I know for certain is that until checkmate is done, there are still possibilities on the board and I kept giving my "this game was really though, aren't you going to give up? I mean the game is already in my hands" she said waiting for me to give her a reply "I don't know about you but I'm not one to leave when the situations is critical" "but it's irrelevant, you are smart enough to know that you can't win against me in this situation, so why do you keep going? Just give up already" what she said was indeed right and not wrong in any way but one thing I know for certain is that if I give up now, when the situation really is down right bad, what am I going to do? I smiled "I won't give up until the last minute, or the last move" "are you that eager to know my name? Fine then, I'll tell you right now if you give up" "If you are trying to make me go back on my words, I'm not gonna, I prefer to see things to the end, no matter what it takes, cus that my code, my family code" though it sounded corny but I didn't care because I really enjoyed the game, even if in the end I lose "you are a nice person aren't ya, well I guess I can't change your mind no matter what I do, but if you are going to risk it to the end, then I'll respect your words and play your game" she said but this time she had a strange aura on her and she then proceed to play her checkmate move and suddenly blood spurt out of her nose and she fall down to the ground while hitting her head hard, I was starstruck and confused a bit 'wait this is all too planned well, or is it a joke? a prank? a test?' I went over to her side but she really wasn't playing, I bent over to lift her up and with her weak voice she whispered to me "checkmate".
