Deep within Evans stomach, a deep hatred began to burn within himself when he saw his younger brother. It felt raw and uncontrolled, as talon stood firm next to the door glaring at Evan. Returning his gaze, Evan scoffed before walking away towards his room.
"What are you planning Evan!" Talon yelled, grabbing Evans shoulder.
Removing Talon's hand from his shoulder, he continued to walk away when a sharp shove knocked Evan to the ground. Managing to catch himself, Evan faced Talon who loomed over him with a face filled with anger.
Opening his mouth Talon readied himself to berate Evan before clenching his fist and walking away down the hallway. As Evan lied on the floor, his facial expression changed from the neutral face he always wore in the game to an anger filled one.
'You lucky bastard! If I had as many traits as you did, I wouldn't have to worry about anything anymore and could enjoy my new Isekai life!'
Evan rose and dusted himself off, before walking back to his chambers and sitting down at his desk. He picked up a quill and a few papers and began jotting down future events that will happen as well as a few major ones that will happen later down the story.
Scratching his head, Evans face began to grow grim as he began to experience something he never thought he would. Evan had forgotten most of the dates of when the events would take place.
After repeatedly playing Honored Knights Unveiled, Eddie had grown to expel most of the small details as it was not important to remember since the events would happen anyways thanks to the overlining plot that the story was forced to follow.
'If I had known that I would have been sent into H.K.U, I would have at least remembered some of the side characters' actual names too! So much for two years of playing.'
As Evan leaned back into the wooden chair he sat in, he began looking back on what he knew.
'Since my last playthrough of H.K.U was my longest and farthest one, I should know a good portion of the mid to late game, along with some key characters.'
After taking a moment to calm down, Evan sighed as he began writing down the events again.
'Well it's not like I don't know where the events are going to take place at. I just need to be cautious and calculate my next moves. Plenty of death flags are still within the first missions so I should try to write as much as I can so I won't forget later on.'
As night fell, Evan rested in his bed, staring at the ceiling that looked nothing like his old one. A rush of pain exploded within Evans mind as a wave of memories flooded in, mixing with those that were Eddies.
Gripping his head and curling in his bed, Evan tried to yell yet no words nor sound escaped his mouth as familiar sights swarmed within his mind. His father who was much younger as he was in the game teaching a young Evan his legacy and what it means, a maid who quit from the harsh treatment he gave her, and the last conversation Evan had with his dying mother all clouded his mind.
After a brief moment more, it all stopped as his body lied exhausted in his bed, his breath ragged and tears flowing down his face.
'Those were Evan's memories.'
As morning came, Evan woke up to a familiar butler who opened the blinds, causing the now awake Evan to shield his eyes from the sunlight. The butler opened his wardrobe and began taking out today's outfit and placing it neatly on the side of his bed before telling Evan that breakfast was ready.
Still tired from last night's events, Evan reluctantly rose and put on the clothes given by the butler. He then looked at his desk which held today's breakfast. Finally coming to his full senses, Evan ate and worked on writing down events once more before an idea hit him.
'Wait, why didn't I do this from the start!? This would help me out to see how far Evans' body is!'
As Evan stood in the center of his room, he held out his hand and braced it with the other one as he closed his eyes and prepared himself. Taking a deep breath, Evan opened his eyes and shouted.
"System!"
"..."
"System!"
After a brief moment, embarrassment overtook Evan as he began to complain about the unfairness taking place.
'Not only do I get the destined death trait, I don't even get a damn system!?'
As Evan sat back down, he peered outside his window and watched as some soldiers used the family training grounds. He knew what he had to do but also acknowledged how much effort its going to take to actually survive.
Taking off most of his fancy clothing except for his pants, Evan began trying to exercise since within Evans memories he received, he was not allowed to leave his room unless given permission by his butler or father.
This meant he couldn't begin training with a sword nor learn anything else that could potentially help with his situation. Evan thought of the weird situation he was in more since in the game, Evan was not under room arrest and could freely explore that manor, just not leave the property.
Cursing the gods for this, he continued to train and pushed his body towards its breaking limit. After 30 minutes, Evan lied on the floor, covered in sweat as he weakly stood.
'I-I think I'm going to die just from exercising!'
The door opened as his butler once again arrived although with a curious look directed at Evan as he was shirtless and covered in sweat.
"Is something the matter Sir Evan? I have been hearing a lot of commotion from your room." The butler asked.
"Y-yea sor-" Evan halted.
A wave of disgust overtook his body when he was about to apologize. The thought of apologizing to someone lower than himself sickened Evan to his stomach as he covered his mouth, asking for a moment as he regained his composure. Now with a slightly different look to his face, Evan faced the butler.
"This is my room is it not? Can't I train my body without being disturbed since I have been barred from leaving it?" Evan spoke with pride, patting himself on the back since that sounds like something the real Evan would say.
The butler stood unamused by Evan's attitude as he looked at him without changing his expression.
"I understand, however, some of the faculty have been complaining about the noise. If you wish to continue this sharrade, I would be willing to permit you outside within the training grounds. Of course, you would need to be monitored to not leave the premises.."
Evans' face glew with excitement as he agreed to the terms instantaneously. After getting his belongings, he followed the butler outside as they made it to the courtyard. Making it to the training grounds, Evan was met with hostile glares from the nearby soldiers who were training as the butler announced himself. At that moment a young soldier who looked a bit older than Evan appeared and walked over towards them.
"Its nice to see you well Gram." The butler said.
"Its good to see you too Mr.Julius. What's the matter? You rarely leave the manner." Gram asked as Julius explained their situation.
The young soldier looked at Evan with hostile eyes before looking back at Julius and sighing, agreeing to watch after him. As Julius walked away, Evan rushed towards the training grounds in a panic and began doing his exercises from before.
'Fast! Fast! If I don't do everything right, I will die!'
