Synopsis
Nael was just a timid, average teenage boy—shy, naive, and overlooked by everyone in his world. But everything changed when a radiant figure claiming to be a god summoned him to a war-torn fantasy realm. The god said nothing—no reasons, no answers—only looked at him with unreadable eyes. Thrown into a strange world with monsters, magic, and merciless war, Nael was forced to fight. From slaying beasts to battling evil warlords, he grew stronger—unimaginably strong. With each year, his once-fragile body became a vessel of power that defied the laws of nature. From elemental mastery to void magic, Nael surpassed even the greatest of sages. His gentle heart, however, never changed—he protected the weak, saved cities, and brought peace. Along the way, he won the hearts of queens, warriors, elves, demon girls, and even divine beings—forming a legendary harem devoted to him. Twenty-five long years passed. At last, Nael stood over the corpse of the Demon King, victorious. Bloodied, exhausted, but proud. He had saved the world. But peace never came. As he looked at the people he protected, divine chains suddenly wrapped around his limbs—glowing, unbreakable, eternal. The gods descended—not to thank him, but to punish him. > “Why...?” Nael asked, confused. Because he wasn’t meant to win. He was supposed to *die*—a sacrificial pawn to maintain the balance. The Demon King was part of the gods’ cycle—a way to purge the world every few decades. Heroes were just offerings. Tools. Every previous hero before him had died. He was the first to survive. The first to rebel against fate. And so, he was sealed—cast into the void beneath the world, locked in silence for eternity. Or so the gods thought.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 – The Boy Who Was Chosen Without a Choice

Nael blinked, the world around him fading like the remnants of a dream. A moment ago, he had been walking home from school. The skies had been cloudy, his earbuds blaring soft anime music, and he had just failed another math test. Then came the light—a blinding pillar from the sky—and now…

Now, he stood in a vast white space.

Empty.

Cold.

And silent.

"W-Where am I...?"

His voice echoed, swallowed by the emptiness.

Nael stumbled backward, his heart pounding. The world was wrong. His school uniform was gone, replaced with loose robes of gold and white that shimmered faintly. His skin prickled. He could feel something pulsing inside his chest—warmth, energy, power?

"I don't understand… Hello?! Is anyone there!?"

Then it came.

A figure, descending from above, cloaked in divine light.

A man—or something like a man—towering in the air, his long hair flowing like silver mist, eyes glowing like stars. A golden halo hovered above his head, and his mere presence bent reality. The god.

Nael instinctively dropped to his knees. "W-Who are you?"

No answer.

The god hovered, gazing down at him—not with malice, but with indifference. Like a farmer observing livestock. Like a child staring at an ant farm.

"I-I don't understand! Why me? What is this place?!"

Still, no words. Just silence.

Then Nael was blinded by light again.

And everything changed.

---

He awoke in a forest.

The sky was blood-red, the air thick with smoke. Screams echoed from a distant village. He could hear snarling, swords clashing, fire spreading. And he was lying in the dirt, still dressed in those unfamiliar robes.

A blade was beside him.

A glowing sword, far too heavy for someone like him. And yet, when he touched it—it hummed. Accepted him.

"Wh-What is this…?" he whispered.

Suddenly, a notification blinked in front of his eyes, like something out of a video game:

> **\[Hero System Initialized]**

> **Name:** Nael

> **Class:** Hero of Light

> **Objective: Defeat the Demon King**

> **Blessings: Divine Weapon – Luminaris, Stat Growth x100, Immortal Soul, Unknown Trait \[Sealed]**

Nael gasped. "A... system?"

His head spun. Magic. Monsters. Swords. A mission to defeat a so-called Demon King. None of this made sense.

But then came the villagers—running, bloodied, screaming.

Behind them, monsters. Wolf-headed creatures with flaming claws. Orcs with jagged axes. Eyes glowing with hunger.

Nael didn't think.

He acted.

The sword moved as if it had a will of its own, slicing clean through enemies. His body moved faster than his thoughts, his blows imbued with divine power. He felt strength flooding through him—unnatural, overwhelming.

By the time the sun rose, the village was saved.

And Nael, once an ordinary, fragile boy, was hailed as a hero.

---

The years passed.

He trained. He fought. He bled. He grew.

Nael traveled across kingdoms, fighting greater threats—dragons, warlocks, corrupted kings. His fame soared, but so did his burden. With every battle, he gained power far beyond what any mortal should hold. His sword became legend. His presence inspired armies. He was no longer the naive boy who once trembled in a forest—he was the Hero of Light, champion of mankind.

And though he never asked for it, many followed him.

The ice princess who once tried to kill him but fell in love after being defeated.

The elf ranger who vowed to bear his children after he saved her people.

The demon general who betrayed her king to follow the one man who bested her.

The goddess of war, intrigued by his resolve, who descended to learn what it meant to *feel* again.

And more. Dozens more. Each one drawn to him by his light.

Nael never asked for a harem.

But he was kind. He never pushed them away.

He couldn't.

Because he was lonely.

The god never spoke again. And deep inside, he always feared it was a mistake. That he was just a tool.

But he kept fighting. Because he had to believe… it was for something greater.

---

Twenty-five years later, he stood over the corpse of the Demon King. The skies were blue for the first time in centuries.

The world was saved.

People cheered. His companions cried tears of joy.

Nael, covered in blood and soot, smiled softly. "It's… finally over."

But then, a sound echoed.

**Clink.**

Chains—golden, divine, ancient—burst from the sky, wrapping around his arms, legs, neck. His sword dropped.

He fell to his knees.

"W-What…?!" he gasped. "What is this?!"

The sky darkened.

The gods appeared.

And their eyes were filled not with joy.

But fear.

"You…" one god said coldly, "were never meant to defeat the Demon King."

Nael's heart sank. "What… do you mean…?"

"You were meant to *die.* Your death was part of the balance. The Demon King is a necessary evil—one we allow to exist to control humanity. You disrupted the cycle."

"No…" Nael's voice cracked. "I fought for this world! I gave everything!"

"You gave too much. Now, we fear you."

The chains tightened.

The women around him screamed, attacked, begged—but divine force crushed them all. None could stop it.

Nael roared. His power flared. The very world shook. For a moment, the gods looked terrified.

But they sealed him anyway.

They *had* to.

And so, the boy who became a god-slayer...

Was sealed beneath the world he saved.

Alone.

Forgotten.

Forsaken.
