Chapter 7 - BENEATH THE MOONLIT HANOK

Years passed like whispers in the wind.

The village school flourished, a testament to love and defiance. Hae-won and Jin-seo, hand in hand, watched children run beneath blossoming trees, their laughter weaving through the air like petals on a gentle breeze.

One autumn evening, as the harvest moon rose large and golden, a messenger arrived bearing a letter sealed with the Yun family crest.

Her father's handwriting trembled on the page:

*"Daughter, the hanok awaits you once more. Not as a prisoner of duty, but as a woman free. Return when the moon is full, and we shall speak of home."*

Hae-won looked to Jin-seo, heart swelling with a mix of fear and hope.

Together, they journeyed back to the hanok, now softened by time but still standing beneath the mountain's watchful gaze.

The courtyard was quiet, the plum tree still blooming—its petals a delicate reminder of promises made long ago.

Her father stood at the entrance, aged and humbled. Their eyes met, and without words, forgiveness bloomed between them like the first flower of spring.

That night, beneath the moonlit hanok, Hae-won and Jin-seo shared a dance—a slow, gentle movement of two souls reunited.

Love had not broken the string.

It had only made it stronger.
