Chapter 29: The Real Lord (1)
The following day, Apollonia discreetly instructed the three brothers, Ben, Tan, and Rune to go to Mount Kalt. She also set Syd with them because she didn’t wholly trust the three of them. They returned about half a day later, their faces colored in shock.
“It’s true. It’s indeed a diamond mine.”
“The mountain no longer rumbled even when we went up. Although, there were monsters around.”
“In addition to diamonds, we also stumbled upon rubies and sapphires on other peaks of Mount Kalt.”
The three brothers competitively spoke, pulling out a handful of gemstones from their pockets. Among them were blue, red, and transparent ones. Apollonia carefully examined the collection and singled out a gem that had a blood red color.
“Is this a ruby?”
“No. We actually discovered that one at the Heart of Kalt,” Ben replied, gulping.
“Then?”
“Well… it’s the first time we’ve ever come across it, but the most plausible explanation is that it’s a red diamond…”
