Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: The Royal Ball 2

I really hate that you are going to the ball sister," Isobelle said with a frown. 'What if the prince chooses her, he is a vampire of course he wouldn't go for a lowly human like her,' she thought.

"Can you please leave my room as you can see I am trying to pick out my best outfit, " Avery answered but she doesn't seem to see the blue gown she has already picked as her best outfit. A unfamiliar and harsh air passed through her nose, she drawn in her breathes trying to know what is smells like, "is that smoke? Smoke?.." she pushed Isobelle aside and desended down the the creaking stairs, running to the backyard of the house.

She used her palm to cover her mouth that has turned agape by the sudden scenario that was taking place at the front of her eyes, she saw her blue clothes slowing turning into ashes as it dissipates to the air, she quenched the fire but all the parts were burnt down, they were all black with some pieces of burnt fabrics.

Her face turned serious when she heard her step mother say, "do you really think I would let you go to the party, dream on young lady for I and Isobelle are the only ones going." With malevolent smirk plastered on her face that revealed some little wrinkles in her smile.

"Why are you doing this to me?" Avery questioned in grief as she clenched her fist as she faced them.

"I didn't bring the idea, Isobelle did, " she informed and out of rage Avery walked up to Isobelle and her hand raised up but before she could feel Isobelle face on her palm the woman beside her daughter instead gave her a slap. "Did you think I will stand here and watch you do that to my daughter, you can't young lady now we will be taking our leave," the evil woman said and they walked up to the carriage waiting for them and sat on it with the coachman locking the carriage door and she saw Isobelle hand through the window bidding her goodbye.

Avery clutched her dress with her heart consumed by rage, she has had enough of this, she can't behave innocent when people treat her bad, she was tired of it and it was time to bring her rightful habit of giving people what they rightfully deserve, but every time she thinks about her mother teaching the thought would desist away from her head.

She spotted Leonard walk in and she went to hug him. "Why aren't you all dressed up?" He asked stoll noticing she was still wearing her brown gown.

"They burnt my clothes, I am tired of leaving here," she said to him holding back the tears that was eager to fall out of her eyes, he patted her back and whispered to her.

"How about we go for some shopping in windward market?" He asked and she started at him in shock because only the rich humans went there.

"And why do you think I would let you buy those costly things for me, you don't have to go there all because of me I will rather choose Winfield instead of Windward, it is more cheap," she said and he nodded.

"Then we shall go to Winfield," he answered.

"I'll go change my dress," she then ran into the house.

"When am I going to tell her about my feelings, I can't ruin our friendship," he sighs in frustration. "What am I going to do with this feelings I have to tell her."

Leonard came from a wealthy family who hails from a duke father and his mother a duchess, he turned down ever woman his father or mother chooses for him all because of Avery who they knew he liked, his mother Mrs Margaret hates Avery or anything related to the windley, because her mother has caused her trouble years ago.

She knew Avery was beautiful but she came from a family that were not up to their standards which made her get disgusted anytime she sees them together and they have planned on bringing a wife for him because he has passed the age of getting married all because of Avery.

They were three towns in Kingdom of Auburn, Winfield consist of humans and few witches, windward was were witches were mostly seen and winderlane the head of Auburn with werewolves and mostly vampires living in the area.

Not too far away from Winfield in the town of Winderlane where the palace was located, inside the palace, Caspian the soon to be crown prince hand was in the rails of the patio as he stared at the view of winderlane, his dark hair waved backwards with the wind freely giving its air to every corner of the patio. His brown eyes wandering around the town of winderlane when he felt someone presence, he turned his body to face the person a d he rested his elbows on the rails.

"Do not think too far that you are going to be the king of Auburn brother," Calvin told him with utter resentment in his golden eyes as he glared at his brother.

In the kingdom of Auburn, the king vladmir Fletcher died in a war of the vampires and werewolves, but his wife the queen of Auburn grieved over his death. She was angry when they Caspian was crowned and was the rightful heir to the throne because Calvin was her favorite and Caspian was king vladmir favorite.

He was now being crowned as the king of Auburn and she hates the idea of him being the the king, but she knew he would not last in that seat because Calvin his younger twin brother was the rightful heir to the throne.

Caspian and Calvin were almost identical but what they could use to tell was that Caspian has golden eyes and Calvin had brown eyes, Caspian has a mole below his left eye, which made him so famous and loved by many, he was a player and didn't set the right example on being the king but his mother saw him as the perfect son, Caspian on the other hand was cold, rude which made people to stay away from him. And they had a younger sister Liliana the one who was close to Caspian and hurt anyone who hurts her.

"But in the next few minutes the coronation begins now go tell your mother that, with me being the king of Auburn there is nothing she can do and she should keep her hatred to herself for I will not tolerate those who disobeys the king," he warned his brother who angrily left.

"The world king feels superior," he smirked and turned to face the patio again and his eyes caught a blonde girl coming down from a carriage with a boy holding her hands. "I wasn't aware that beautiful girls were in the city she looks human, means she is from Winfield, now who is this enchanting beauty that just stepped into my soon to be palace?" He asked himself, still staring at the girl who seems to be capturing the view of the palace with her blue innocent eyes.
