The sun begins to rise in Floatia. The door to Jijimon's house opens and Liam, aside from his normal clothing, was now also wearing a straw hat walks out the door with Kudamon following him. Liam takes a deep breath.
"Even this here air in the Digital World is invigorating." said Liam. He then picks up five wicker baskets from inside Jijimon's house.
"Liam?" said Rusty on his sleeping mat, rubbing his eye, getting Liam's attention. "Where are you going this early in the day."
"Gonna go harvest some vegetables from the fields." replied Liam.
"Can't it wait til later? It's too early." said Rusty.
"There's nothing better than getting up at the crack of dawn to do some harvesting." replied Liam. Rusty lets out a sigh.
"Whatever, man, I'm going to get my beauty sleep." said Rusty as he lies back down on his sleeping mat. Stella, who was also awake, rolls her eyes.
'You need more than beauty sleep to improve your looks, Rusty; you need more like a miracle.' Stella thinks to herself before shutting her eyes. Liam shrugs, then closes the door behind him and Kudamon and they begin heading towards the field.
Later, Liam and Kudamon were on the field, pulling potatoes out of the ground while Liam was humming 'Old McDonald' and dropping them into one of the wicker baskets.
"Morning, Liam." Tanemon calls out. Liam looks to see her hopping towards him.
"Mornin', Tanemon." said Liam.
"Thanks again for helping out with some harvesting." said Tanemon.
"Shucks, it's just something I like doing back home on the farm." said Liam. As they get further into the fields, they notice that some of the produce had bites taken out of them.
"Oh no." said Tanemon. "The Kunemon are back."
"Kunemon?" Liam replies.
"They're a bunch of Digimon that have been coming here in the past and eating all our crops without permission." explained Tanemon.
"Well, that just ain't right." said Liam. They look ahead and see some movement in the distance. When they got closer, Liam saw yellow, caterpillar like Digimon with orange underbellies, and blue mandibles. Liam takes out his Digivice and holds it out towards them.
"Kunemon, Rookie Level, Larva Type, Virus Attribute." said Liam. "Their special attack is Electric Thread. Those Goblimon weren't the only ones threatening Floatia's food supply?"
"Yes; if these Kunemon aren't stopped, there won't be much left of our crops." replied Tanemon. Liam looks at the approaching Kunemon with a look of determination.
"If those there Kunemon want these crops, then they have to get past me and Kudamon." said Liam. "I'll protect these crops down to the last tomato."
"I'll go get your friends." said Tanemon as she hops away.
"Backup sounds good." replied Liam. He looks at the Kunemon as they arrived. "You critters ain't welcome here, so get." A Kunemon steps forward.
"Electric Thread!" said the Kunemon, opening its mandibles and releases a long thread, surrounded by electricity at Liam, but he jumps to the side, dodging it. Kudamon steps forward.
"If protecting these crops is important to you, Liam, then I shall assist you." said Kudamon. "Twirling Tackle!" He spins towards the Kunemon and hits it with his tail cartridge, knocking it back.
"Get them!" shouts another Kunemon. All the Kunemon try to hit Kudamon with their electrified thread, but he kept weaving his way through all of it.
"Holy Shot!" said Kudamon as he fires off multiple balls of light at the Kunemon, hitting them, and knocking them back.
"What are we going to do?" asked a Kunemon. "He's too strong!"
"Let's go back for the boss." said another Kunemon before he and its friends start to crawl away.
"And don't come back any time soon!" said Liam. Just then, his friends and their Digimon all showed up with Tanemon following behind them.
"Liam. Are you okay?" asked Clyde.
"Yeah, we're just fine." said Liam. "Kudamon drove them varmints off."
"It's good for them that you did; otherwise, they'll have to deal with the Rustman." said Rusty as he flexes his arms.
"Rusty, you can't even handle a mosquito." said Stella. Rusty frowns in response.
"You think they'll come back?" asked Lincoln.
"Well, they did say they were gonna get their boss." said Liam. "If they do, we'll be ready. In the meantime, I got me some more harvesting to do."
"We'll help you out seeing how we're out of bed and here." said Zach. The group help Liam harvest the crops for a while. Later, all the baskets were filled.
"This looks like enough for now." said Tanemon. "Thank you, everyone."
"It's the least we can do for letting us stay in your village." said Stella. They suddenly hear a loud buzzing. They look to see the Kunemon, but they weren't alone; with them was a large, beelike, Digimon with large purple wings.
"That must be the boss those Kunemon were talking about." said Liam. He takes out his Digivice. "Flymon, Champion Level, Insectoid Type, Virus Attribute. Special Attack, Brown Stingers." A loud buzzing is emitted from Flymon's wings, making Lincoln and his friends, along with their Digimon cover their ears.
"Man; I thought there was no sound worse than Rusty's singing in music class!" said Stella. Liam looks to see the Kunemon getting closer. He taps his friends shoulders to get their attention. They see the Kunemon and their Digimon get ready for battle.
"Electric Thread!" shouts a Kunemon as it sprays electrified thread out of its mandibles towards the group.
"Claw Attack!" said Agumon as he rushes forward and slashes at all the thread before it could reach the group. He then runs at the Kunemon and strikes it repeatedly, knocking it back.
"Gao Rush!" said Gaomon. He runs at a Kunemon and rapidly punches it, repeatedly before uppercutting it, knocking it to the ground.
"Body Attack!" said Elecmon as he rams into another Kunemon, knocking it to the ground.
"Rock Fist!" said Gotsumon as he launches rocks from his head, hitting multiple Kunemon.
"Petit Tackle!" said Lalamon as she flies into another Kunemon. While most of the Digimon were focusing on the Kunemon; Kudamon was firing off Holy Shots at the Flymon, but it was able to dodge them.
"Brown Stinger!" said Flymon. It fires a brown stinger out from its abdomen at Kudamon. He leaps to the side, but the stinger grazes him, making him set down on the ground.
"You okay, partner?" asked Liam. Flymon flies at Kudamon and rams him, sending him flying back. Flymon grabs Kudamon with its talons. "You let go of Kudamon, you overgrown horsefly!" Flymon turns and looks at the crops. Realizing this, Liam runs to the front of the crops. "I won't you go near these crops."
"Poison Sting!" said Flymon. It flies towards Liam with its stinger out. Liam stood his ground, sweating. Liam's Digivice suddenly starts to glow brightly. He takes it out of his pocket and sees a button glowing; he pushes it and Kudamon begins to glow brightly, making Flymon stop in mid-flight and releasing Kudamon. He lands on the ground and begins spinning and glows brightly.
"Kudamon, Digivolve to..." said Kudamon. When the glowing stopped, Kudamon now resembled a quadrupedal weasel with dark brown legs that had black claws and white hair on his head; he wore a white mask with three black marks and two red zigzag marks on it that covered his eyes, he had a large, zigzagging blade for a tail and a red and white rope around his neck. "...Reppamon!" Liam holds out his Digivice towards Reppamon.
"Reppamon, Champion Level, Holy Beast Type, Vaccine Attribute." said Liam. "His special attack is Rolling Tackle." Reppamon and Flymon faced each other.
"Poison Sting!" said Flymon, flying at Reppamon with its stinger out, but Reppamon leaps to the side, making Flymon sting the ground instead.
"You better not have done anything to the soil of these crops with that!" said Liam.
"If he did, he will be punished." said Reppamon. "Lion Claw!" He leaps at Flymon and slashes it repeatedly with his claws. Flymon gets its stinger free and flies in midair.
"Brown Stinger!" said Flymon, firing another stinger from its abdomen.
"Razor Wind!" said Reppamon. He shakes his tail and releases a blade of wind from it; it breaks through the stinger, and it hits Flymon, knocking it to the ground.
"Show that critter whose boss!" said Liam.
"I plan to." replied Reppamon. Flymon struggles to get back up. "Flying Tackle!" He does an aerial somersault towards Flymon and cuts through it with his blade tail; he lands on his feet and turned towards Flymon. It stood there for a couple seconds before he splits in two and both halves disintegrate.
"Boss, no!" said one of the Kunemon before Gaomon punches it.
"Forget these lousy crops!" said another Kunemon. "Let's just go back to eating leaves in the forest!"
"Yeah, it's a lot less trouble." said another Kunemon as it and the others quickly crawl away.
"That will teach them about takin' things without askin'." said Liam. Reppamon starts glowing and reverts back to Kudamon.
"That was so awesome!" said Lincoln.
"Gonna write about it in your journal?" asked Liam.
"Of course." said Lincoln. The group then carry all the crops back to the village and had a dinner using them. Once everyone ate, and Lincoln writes about what happened that day, along and drawing Reppamon, the Kunemon, and Flymon; everyone calls it a night and go to sleep.
