Sherk Academy
Shrek Academy has existed for over 20,000 years. It started out as a very small and exclusive school that only accepted monsters. Shrek Academy, over time, became an independent organization, with its own city. It became the most respected and sacred academy in the entire Douluo continent, producing brilliant Soul Masters. Shrek Academy is situated in the center of Shrek City which is governed by the Academy.
The Academy is a neutral power. It does not participate in politics nor the hunting of spirit beasts.
Shrek Academy was very strict on its internal affairs. None of its students could participate in the continent's disputes. Even so, many of the restrictions were lifted after graduation. As long as they didn't tarnish Shrek Academy's name, the outer court graduates could choose their path without interference. Of course, becoming criminals was out of the question.
Shrek Academy uses contribution points as currency instead of Federation coins. Federation coins can be exchanged for points and vice versa. Shrek has the highest amount of Title Douluo and Hyper Douluo out of all the organizations on the continent.
Shrek Academy's campus was vast, a small town unto itself.
It actually used to be the original Shrek City until Spirit Ice Douluo Huo Yuhao, the Spirit Pagoda's founder, proposed an expansion. Only then did the city grow much larger.
Tang Sect
Tang Sect has existed for over 20,000 years. It started as a small sect comprised of the former four subsidiary clans of Clear Sky Clan and founded by Sea God Tang San, a disciple of the original Tang Sect.
Tang Sect has become a gigantic organization with lots of members and a presence on the three continents of Douluo, Star Luo, and Dou Ling. They are in the business of selling soul tools. The advancement of its technology is on par with the Federation. They are the caretakers of the Ice Fire Yin-Yang Well.
In the Douluo Continent, they are a secretive organization, disguising their branches in every city as a normal building. They have a hidden headquarters in Heaven Dou City and an open one in Shrek City.
In the Star Luo Continent, they are an open organization, respected by everyone. They sell soul devices to the Star Luo government, and the royal family.
In the Dou Ling Continent, they sell soul devices to the government.
The Tang Sect's objective is to uphold virtue and condemn evil while supporting the continent's steady development. Tang Sect shares a close bond with Shrek Academy. After the destruction of Shrek Academy, most of the inner court students and Long Yeyue and Ya Li stayed within Tang Sect's headquarters in Heaven Dou City.
If a Tang Sect disciple ever leaves the sect, they need to return everything they received from the sect, including cultivation methods
Pagoda Spirit
The Spirit Pagoda or the Transmission Spirit Tower was created by Huo Yuhao to create the Spirit Souls during the extinction of the Spirit Beasts. It was named to commemorate his teacher, Electrolux, and his favorite creation, the Eternal Tower. The main purpose of this organization is to focus on reducing the killing of spirit beasts by humans and to gradually change the relationship between humans and spirit beasts.
The Spirit Pagoda is the only place where one can purchase a Spirit Soul. It had a ten thousand year history. Due to their importance to Soul Masters and their groundbreaking research into artificial spirit souls, their status had risen dramatically to its current state. Throughout the three continents, they were the strongest power.
There is a Spirit Pagoda in every city. The Spirit Pagodas in the eighteen major cities are called the Eighteen Pillars of Heaven and each one of them has a mural about Huo Yuhao, his Spirit Souls, and his friends.
The Spirit Pagoda was originally established to mediate peace between humans and soul beasts. However, for the sake of their research into the invention of artificial spirit souls, there was a period of time where the Spirit Pagoda slaughtered countless soul beasts with the Federation's support.
In the Spirit Pagoda are different colored elevators like spirit ring colors. The color of the elevator, a person can take depending on their status within the organization. The red elevator is specially reserved for high-ranking Spirit Pagoda members.
In Glorybound City, there are 73 ten year white spirit souls and 11 hundred year yellow spirit souls to choose from. The price of a white spirit soul is seventy thousand coins, while yellow spirit souls are one million coins. The random spirit soul selection is thirty thousand coins, since the spirit soul from the selection is random. There is a chance the spirit soul gotten from the selection to be defective or unsuitable for the spirit master.
Sun Moon Federation
The Sun-Moon Federation was founded after the events of Soul Land 2. During Soul Land 2, it used to be the Sun-Moon Empire until they united the entire Douluo Continent under their banner by waging war against the remnants of the Heaven Dou Empire, the Dou Ling Empire and the Heaven Spirit Empire, and the Star Luo Empire. The Dou Ling Empire and Star Luo Empire were forced to leave the Douluo Continent to two newly discovered continents. Nowadays, they are vigilant towards the Sun-Moon Federation, they still conduct trading and diplomacy with the Federation. The Federation has technology that far surpasses the Star Luo Empire and Dou Ling Empire, but are weaker than Tang Sect.
The Sun-Moon Federation has been trying for thousands of years to shake Shrek Academy's and Tang Sect's neutral stance, but have been unsuccessful. They did manage to get the Spirit Pagoda though. Many within the parliament begin to see them as an eyesore and have been trying to reduce their influence. Some members of the Federation Parliament and military and the Qiangu Clan secretly supported the Holy Spirit Cult in their terrorist attack on Shrek City, thus destroying Shrek Academy and damaging Tang Sect.
The catastrophe of Shrek City allowed the Hawk Faction to gain the majority of seats within the Federal Parliament.
The faction of parliament is spit as three faction
Hawk Faction: pro-war faction that favors starting a war with the Star Luo Empire and Dou Ling Empire to acquire natural resources
Dove Faction: favors peace and does not want to start a war with the other Empires. They promote trading with the two continents to get natural resources.
Neutral Faction: made up of members that tend to lean on one side depending on the current situation
Later, The Federation tried to wage a war with the Star Luo Empire and Dou Ling Empire because they nearly depleted their natural resources on the Douluo Continent and they need more in order for their research centers to continue functioning, but they were stopped by Tang Wulin and the Tang Sect. This caused the hawk fraction within the parliament to label Tang Sect as a treasonous organization. When Shrek Academy was being rebuilt, they tried to intervene, but failed. Their treasonous label was removed when Shrek Academy and Tang Sect stole the Eternal Heaven. It is implied through Wulin's deductions that the military minister who is also the supreme commander of the federal army was most likely one of the ones who supported the attack on Shrek Academy and Tang Sect.
Star Luo Empire
Originally, Star Luo Empire was one of the two great empires in the Douluo Continent. The royal family is by tradition the ones with the martial spirit White Tiger.
As described by royal prince Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing, if more than one child is born to the royal family, their existence is kept hidden until they reach maturity when they fight for their life to make sure that the next generation is originated from the strongest.
After the events of SL2, the fight between the Sun Moon Empire and Star Luo Empire was never ending. As the Sun Moon Empire rapidly developed, the Star Luo Empire was gradually declining. They decided to invest in seafaring technology and were able to find another continent, which they quietly occupied. With the whole continent taken, the Star Luo Empire migrated the whole empire over along with their many resources and named it the Star Luo Continent. The Continent is smaller than Douluo Continent. It also has fewer resources, so it is behind in technological advancement compared to Douluo Continent.
Before the migration of the Star Luo Empire, indigenous humans were already living on the continent. The empire launched a war of conquest against the tribes that refused to surrender, and they acquired a divine tool from one of the tribes.
To develop their force, Star Luo Empire create the academy by using sherk academy as a model. It's known as Monster Academy. he school uniform is red in contrast to Shrek Academy's green uniform. The Monster Academy has representatives called the Eight Heavenly Kings based on the Shrek Seven Devils. Unlike Shrek Academy, the school heavily involves itself in the Star Dou Empire's politics and focuses to cultivate military worthy students, not human worthy students. Its majority of staff are bias to certain students and not fair to all the students, different from Shrek Academy's public education policy, resulting in frequent bullied students. The school cultivates only might and not the heart of its students, evident in Holy Dragon Douluo En Ci's actions throughout his appearances.
Dou Ling Empire
Ten thousand years ago, Dou Ling Empire is one of the three great empires in the old Douluo Continent. It was once part of the Heaven Dou Empire which then broke into two empires as Heaven Spirit Empire and Dou Ling Empire. after its defeat at the hands of the Sun-Moon Empire had embarked on a voyage and had experienced many hardships and perils. In the end, they discovered a huge continent which also had some indigenous humans. However, their development couldn't even compare with the Douluo Continent's. They were conquered by the Dou Ling Empire and the continent was named the Dou Ling Continent.
Holy Spirit Cult
The Holy Spirit Cult, also known as the Holy Ghost Church, is an extremely mysterious and secretive organization formed of only Dark Spirit Masters. It is enigmatic and mysterious, also very powerful that has existed for an unknown number of years. More precisely, it is a sect that is involved in criminal and evil activities of all kinds. It regards the task of cultivating dark spirit masters as its responsibility. They enjoy killing, destroying, and seeking special energies capable of elevating themselves from their crimes. The core members are referred to as Holy Ghost disciples and the outer members are referred to as Holy Servants.
The Holy Spirit Cult is terrifying because their abilities are so powerful that it shocked the world. Even more sinister is the fact that they are overly mysterious. No one has any information on them, not even Shrek Academy nor the Tang Sect. An unknown enemy is the most dangerous.
The Holy Ghost Church had a secret method that could stimulate a Soul Master's abilities, allowing their followers to grow rapidly. However, there was a negative side to this secret method. It completely corroded a person's mind, and they would believe that they were just killing machines. With such a secret method, an extremely talented soul master could be gradually improved, and could possibly become an Ultimate Douluo. However, the soul master had to be introspective, his body had to be pure enough, and his martial soul had to be appropriate.
The Holy Spirit Cult was assumed to be wiped out, but reappeared again in this timeline. Currently, they are a terrorist organization that mostly always remain in hiding, spread out across the three continents of Douluo, Star Luo, and Dou Ling. They kill in order to raise their cultivation by feeding on a person's negative emotions, blood, soul power, and etc.
Abyssal Plane
This plane is where the abyssal creatures came from. Six thousand three hundred years ago, an abyssal tunnel appeared in the Endless Mountains. Throngs of abyssal creatures came in great number onto the Endless Mountains and migrated onto Douluo Continent. Because it took place in the secluded western part of the continent where the population is sparse and also the blackout on information by the Federation, there were only a handful of people who knew about the abyssal creatures. All life on the Endless Mountains were exterminated.
The entire plane can be classified as a single complete living organism. The abyssal creatures are but its cells. When the cells die, the energy will be recycled and new cells are made, therefore creating more abyssal creatures. The Abyssal plane has a total of 108 layers. Every layer is connected via spatial passages, and a monarch resides on each level. Hence, there are actually one hundred and eight monarch-ranked existences. The core of those layers is the Abyssal Sacred Monarch. The top three layers only contain one creature each, beceause each of them was the only creature on their separate levels, they were known as the Three Abyssal Saints.
Each layer has an Abyssal Monarch. Once the monarch is truly dead, it might lead to the crumbling of that layer's abyssal plane. The abyssal creatures belonging to the plane will also crumble completely and die out. After all, even if they can be reborn, the process of recovery after death is extremely long and arduous.
