(Chapter 1)
His head throbbed.
A dull, rhythmic pounding like a distant drum. His eyes twitched, brows furrowed. The softness beneath him felt… wrong. No, not wrong. Just unfamiliar.
Wait.
Softness?
Lin Feng's eyes shot open.
He blinked at the white ceiling above. The hum of the AC buzzed gently in the background. A light breeze from the ceiling fan tickled his skin. There was no hospital beeping. No sterile walls. No pain.
Instead… comfort.
He sat up abruptly, only to groan as a sharp throb jabbed his temple.
"Urgh… what the hell…"
His eyes darted around the room. A small wooden desk in the corner, cluttered with books. A shelf stacked with manga and football figurines. White walls. A neat bed. Posters.
Posters?
He froze.
LeBron James mid-dunk. Kobe frozen in a perfect fadeaway. Cristiano Ronaldo doing his iconic celebration. Messi, arms raised in victory. Neymar grinning, ball at his feet.
His eyes slowly turned to the far wall—the signed Messi jersey, framed in glass.
"…No way."
He stumbled out of bed and rushed toward it. His fingers trembled as they touched the cool glass. The signature. The handwriting. The ruffled corner from when he'd hugged the frame after Argentina won.
> This was real. This was his room. His old room.
The memory crashed into him like a wave.
December 18, 2022
Doha, Qatar. Lusail Stadium.
His dad had managed the impossible: tickets to the World Cup final. And somehow—somehow—after the match, they'd run into Messi near the parking area. Little Lin Feng had charged up to him with puppy eyes and an Argentina jersey.
And Messi, grinning ear to ear, had ruffled his hair and signed it without hesitation.
Lin Feng laughed.
A real, heartfelt laugh.
"…Damn. I was cute," he muttered, scratching the back of his neck. "Milky skin, doe eyes, long hair… I really looked like a girl back then."
He glanced at the mirror across the room and walked over.
There he was.
A 17-year-old boy stared back at him. Slim. Pale skin. Wide, clear eyes. Soft, almost delicate facial features. A touch too much hair. He squinted.
"…I still look like a girl."
He grimaced.
"Great. Time traveler by day, flower boy by mirror."
He leaned in closer, inspecting himself. "No wonder those single potatoes in class kept calling me girly and femboy material.Jealous bastards."
But he smirked anyway.
Girls had liked him. He remembered the whispers. The notes in his desk. He just never cared back then. Too busy being a simp for the wrong one.
His eyes flicked to his bedside.
His phone was charging.
An iPhone 15 Pro.
He snatched it and pressed the power button.
May 7th, 2025.
His heart skipped a beat.
One month before the Gaokao.
His knees gave a small wobble, and he sat down on the bed again, phone still glowing in his hand.
This was real.
This wasn't a dream. This was a reset. A rewind. A second chance.
"...I'm seventeen again."
He swallowed hard.
The pressure of the upcoming Gaokao was already real—he could feel it like a ghost—but his thoughts were elsewhere.
His parents were still alive.
His mother would be downstairs right now, probably slicing fruit. His dad would be on his morning call, grumbling about supply chains.
His fingers trembled.
Tears welled up in his eyes, uninvited.
"I get to see them again…"
A knock on the door pulled him out of the spiral.
"Feng'er! Time to wake up! You'll be late for school!"
His mother's voice.
Warm. Alive.
Lin Feng blinked hard, furiously wiping his eyes with his sleeve.
"…Coming, Ma!"
He stood up, steadied himself.
He was alive. Young. Healthy. Wealthy family. Football-loving dad. Fashion-designer mom. Cute face (even if he hated the hair). And a whole future ahead of him.
This time, he wouldn't waste it.
This time, he would live it all.
> Ding!
[Perfect Life System Activated]
Welcome, Host.
Objective: Live a perfect, regret-free life.
First Mission: Hug your mother.
Reward: Emotional Bonding Pack
Lin Feng stared at the prompt, stunned.
And then…
He smiled.
"Alright then, System," he said as he cracked his neck and rolled his shoulders. "Let's do it right this time."
---
Perfect! Here's Chapter 2 based on your detailed scene plan. The tone remains light, warm, and a bit comedic, with emotional touches, System banter, and a good sense of pacing and visuals.

Ding!
[Additional Reward Notice: Upon completing first mission, Host shall also receive the Newbie Gift Pack.]
Lin Feng's eyes sparkled.
"Newbie gift pack?" he muttered, the edges of his lips curling into a grin. "Now that's more like it."
Without wasting another second, he practically leapt off his bed and sprinted out of the room. The wooden floor creaked as he dashed toward the staircase. Just in time—his mother was about to descend, wearing her usual elegant house robe, hair tied back in a casual yet stylish bun.
"Mom!" he called out.
She turned, startled, and before she could react—
Hug!
Lin Feng wrapped his arms around her tightly, burying his face into her shoulder.
She blinked in surprise but quickly relaxed, wrapping her arms around him with practiced ease. Her hand gently caressed his back, then moved up to smooth his long hair.
"Feng'er…?" she said softly, her voice full of concern. "Is everything okay, baby?"
He looked up at her face—the same beautiful, graceful face of his mother. Not a wrinkle in sight. Her skin was smooth and firm, her figure lean and athletic. She looked like she was in her early thirties at most.
So full of life.
So present.
And just like that, Lin Feng tightened the hug, a warmth spreading through his chest.
"I'm okay, Mom," he murmured.
Ding!
[Quest Completed: Hug Your Mother]
Reward: Emotional Bonding Pack + Newbie Gift Pack (Stored in Inventory)
She chuckled softly, still ruffling his hair with a fond smile. "Then go get ready, silly boy. You'll be late for school."
"Okay~" he said, grinning like a kid who'd just gotten candy.
He turned and walked back to his room, hands clasped together in excitement.
"Alright, System," he whispered like a child planning to unwrap secret gifts, "let's see the goodies. Open the Emotional Bonding Pack first."
Ding!
Opening Emotional Bonding Pack…
Congratulations! You have received: [Positive Aura]!
Description: The Host exudes a naturally warm, clean aura. You emit a subtle, pleasant scent reminiscent of mountain air and wildflowers. You give off the presence of a trustworthy, refreshing person. Perfect for hugging, cuddling, and being generally adored.
Bind Ability now? [Yes] / [No]
Lin Feng stared at the air in front of him.
"…So I smell like nature?"
Ding!
Yes. A clean and slightly sweet mountain-flower scent. Subtle, not overwhelming. Tested and approved by 99.7% of women surveyed in imaginary simulation tests.
He blinked.
"Uhh... let's put a pin in that. Choose [No] for now."
> Positive Aura stored in Ability Inventory.
"Cool. Now open the Newbie Gift Pack."
Ding!
Opening Newbie Gift Pack…
You have received:
1. [Charm Enhancing Elixir]
2. [Heavenly Scholar Attribute]
"Oh?" Lin Feng rubbed his hands gleefully. "This already sounds busted."
> Charm Enhancing Elixir:
Temporarily enhances your appearance. Skin clearer, eyes brighter, bone structure subtly refined for higher symmetry. Just enough to go from 'handsome' to 'damn, he's hot.'
"Pfft. Guess I'm going from flower boy to flower emperor," he muttered, glancing at his reflection again. "Might as well embrace the beauty."
Now activating second reward:
Heavenly Scholar Attribute.
Question: Does the Host remember anything from the Gaokao syllabus?
He paused.
"…Do I look like someone who remembers the Gaokao after three decades of mergers, taxes, and late-night board meetings?!"
He sat on the bed, facepalming.
"I didn't even get into a great college last time. Just… some random one close to where she went."
He sighed at the memory. "Damn simp brain."
> Host need not worry.
With the [Heavenly Scholar] attribute, you gain:
– Photographic Memory
– Superhuman Learning Speed
– High Comprehension
– Academic Talent Enhancement
– Mental Processing Boost
Host shall now dominate all exams and qualify for top universities. Gaokao will be a breeze.
Lin Feng blinked. Then blinked again.
"…So I'm basically the Asian Einstein now."
> Correction: You are now the perfect scholar.
The System is pleased with your awe. Please sing praises of this Almighty System.
Lin Feng burst into laughter. "Dude, you're so full of yourself."
> First of all, I can hear your thoughts.
Second of all, this is not arrogance. This is… absolute confidence.
"Hah! Yeah yeah, whatever helps you sleep at night."
> The System does not sleep. It is eternal.
He shook his head, smiling like an idiot.
"Alright. Let's take a shower, get dressed, and then—" he looked at the mirror again, "—we'll fuse the aura and elixir later. First, gotta cut this long-ass hair."
With a soft whistle, Lin Feng headed into the bathroom, eyes gleaming.
This was just the beginning.
And this time… he was going to be perfect.
