Chapter 1 - A New World

Now that I think about it, that day was painfully ordinary. Nothing strange, nothing out of place. Just a regular morning.

And yet... I died.

Like always, I woke up, got ready for school, and dragged myself to another mind-numbing English class. Same routine, same boredom.

Who would have thought it would be my last day on Earth?

It all happened after school.

The sky was overcast, and the streets were slick with rain. I remember checking my phone as I crossed the street—probably replying to some dumb meme my friend sent me. I wasn't paying attention.

Typical me.

Then, I heard it. Tires screeching. A horn blaring.

I turned my head.

Too late.

The world slowed down, like time itself hesitated. I saw the truck—massive, out of control—barreling toward me. The driver's eyes were wide with panic. Mine must have been the same.

There was no pain. Just impact.

And then… darkness.

But not the kind of darkness you'd expect. No cold. No silence. It felt… warm. Endless. Like floating in space without a body.

I tried to scream, but I had no mouth. I tried to breathe, but there was no air.

Just... existence.

Then, something called to me. A voice, or maybe a feeling. A pull, gentle yet irresistible.

And before I could understand what was happening, I was pulled.

Not physically. Not mentally.

Spiritually.

Down through colors I couldn't name. Through visions I couldn't grasp.

And when I opened my eyes again—

It wasn't Earth i had known anymore.

I woke up looking as a ceilling i didn't know.

"Pidgey Pidgey"

I turned my head to the right and saw a Voltorb-themed clock, with a little Pidgey perched on top of it.

"No way... I'm really in—" the world of pokemon that's what i wanted to say before being interrupted by the entrance of the mother of this body.

"Wake up! Today's an important day. You can't be late." as she opened the window and gestured outside.

A little village nestled betwee, moutain, trees covered the landscapes and most importantly pokemon were everywhere, a rookidee was giving everything he have against a zigzagoon, a wurmple was eating berries below a tree.

"Do you hear me Akira ? Prepare yourself or you will be late" as she said these words he opened my bedroom door and left.

So it really looked like I'm in the world of pokemon, I get out of my bed and touch the cold floor with naked feet.

"Seems too real to be a dream"

Let's resume I died in a car accident and get transported in the world of pokemon if we continue with this novel logic I should get a broken system that allows me to easily rule in this world.

"STATUS !!—" as this words come out of my mouth I realize the crushing weight of secondhand shame.

No system ? well that's rude I guess the pokemon world is not that hard to survive so I will probably not need it. I decide to finally prepare myself, as i finish gettint ready to go outside i stumble accross the calendar of Akira and it looks like it's a great day for every fifteen years old tee, as it's the day they received their first pokemon to go in an adventure.

I'm almost late so I can't even organize my thoughts right now. I guess i will do that on my way to the lab.
