✍️ Chapter 2: The Close Guard
> Aria's training taught her to be silent, invisible, untouchable.
But guarding Aiden Black felt like standing in front of a flame—dangerous, tempting, and impossible to ignore.
"You'll shadow me everywhere," he said. "Meetings, dinners, even the restroom if needed."
"I'll stop at the door," she replied dryly.
Aiden chuckled for the first time, but it was more mocking than amused.
"You're not the usual type they send. What's your story?"
"I'm not here to tell stories. I'm here to keep you alive."
What she didn't say was that she was the reason he might die.
Later that night, she watched him from a distance, perched like a shadow in the dark.
The man who was supposed to be a cold-blooded monster… tucked in a little girl and kissed her forehead.
He has a daughter?
"You weren't in the file," she whispered to herself.
For the first time, Aria's fingers hesitated over the trigger hidden in her belt.
