"What about you? Are you going to participate in that contest?" Aria asked while looking at Sam.
"Me? No, of course not! My dad is a successful businessman. I can get access to spells, not as fast as Ken, but with no problems. I am just going to prepare myself for the upcoming contest."
Sam shook his head and spoke with a smug smile on his face.
"What contest? How do you know so much?" The curious-looking girl asked.
"Maria, Aria, both of you seem quite curious today." David looked at the pair of twins and spoke with suspicious eyes.
It was normal for people to ask questions, but these two had not only asked several times but also asked everyone to cultivate in the classroom.
At first, David didn't see anything wrong with their curiosity, but now, he was a bit suspicious.
As much as they were trying to keep the conversation normal, he could still find them actively trying to get more information.
"Because, unlike you guys, we don't have someone to ask at home." Aria replied with almost no emotion in her eyes.
David's eyes widened for a moment before he quickly apologized.
"I'm so sorry. I guess I got too suspicious because of those novels I read."
"It's okay. We are not close friends. So, it's normal you don't know about us." Maria smiled and shook her head.
Maria and Aria had different personalities. Unlike her sister, she kept smiling even when David showed his suspicion towards them.
"By the way, you two have one benefit as twins. If one of you gets the spell, you can share it with the other." Sam spoke as he remembered the benefits of twin.
"You said you are Ken's neighbor, right? Do you know how strong his parents are?" Maria asked.
When they had their previous conversation with Ken, she realized Ken was a bit more mysterious than she initially thought.
Not to mention, she was one of only two people who sensed a powerful Aura from Ken during their bonding process.
It was thanks to her talent awakened through her bond. Otherwise, she wouldn't have sensed it at all.
"You want to know about their strength?"
Sam was baffled by her curiosity, but he didn't reject her immediately. Instead, he touched his chin and said.
"If I remember correctly, his father is an A-Rank Hunter while his mother was a S-Rank Hunter."
"Wow! S-Rank?"
"If I remember correctly, there are less than a hundred S-Rank hunters in the world, right?"
"Yeah, I heard it is exceedingly hard to become an S-Rank Hunter. Only those who have killed the Demon Lord have been awarded as an S-Rank Hunter."
"Are you telling me Ken has such a powerful mother?"
"Do you know her nickname?"
Aria asked while everyone else was left stunned by Sam's information. Unlike her sister, she was a bit more cold and calculative.
She asked everyone to cultivate together to see how much progress they could make.
While she couldn't see their Spiritual Energy, her sister could. She planned to utilize that ability to get ahead of others and earn as many resources as she could for them.
As an orphan and twin in this chaotic world, she had to learn to be ahead of everyone else for her benefit.
Otherwise, she wouldn't be able to protect her sister.
"You might know her. She was very famous a decade ago. Her alias was 'Storm Sword Queen'."
Sam showed a big smile as he spoke her name.
At the same time, he couldn't hide deep jealousy in his eyes. Because the reputation of Ken's parents was too loud, he sometimes wished that they were his parents.
It had nothing to do with his family. They loved him very much. But this deep-rooted jealousy appeared when he found out how Storm Sword Queen stopped being a full-time hunter just to take care of her son.
Even though his father was a successful businessman, his mother still worked as a hunter, which made him resentful. Because the attitude of his mother and his friends' mother was big.
If Ken's mother were an ordinary woman, he wouldn't be this jealous. But she was Storm Sword Queen.
The strongest woman in the world.
The only woman who had managed to not only reach S-Rank but also reach the top ten among S-Rank.
"Is that the same Storm Sword Queen that I heard so much about?"
"The woman who could bring lightning with her sword."
"I heard she was capable of destroying a city as big as ours with a single attack."
"Are you kidding me? Our Q City is not even big enough. I heard she had the power to destroy cities as big as A, E, I, O, U."
"Those are the cities that are the size of a small continent. Her full power might be able to destroy it."
"I never thought one of her classmates to have such a powerful mother."
"But I heard she had given up being a hunter for some unknown reason."
"Wait a minute, Sam, you are his neighbor, right? Do you know why she quit?"
Hearing their discussion, Sam's lips twitched. Although he expected their reactions, he didn't expect them to praise her so much.
Even after ten years of disappearance, the influence of Storm Sword Queen was as good as before.
He sighed and shrugged his shoulders.
"Well, I am not one hundred percent sure, but I heard she gave up being the hunter to take care of Ken."
Hearing that, everyone instantly showed a look of jealousy.
"Damn! That guy is so lucky."
"Yeah! Not only does he have two powerful parents, but his mother is Storm Sword Queen."
"But, isn't it a bit silly to give up the identity of a hunter to take care of Ken?"
"I heard Storm Sword Queen once killed nearly twenty thousand demons in a Demon Race Invasion. Are you sure you are talking about the same person?"
One of the students asked.
Hearing that, Sam's expression darkened as he snorted.
"Humph! Whatever you think."
Saying so, he walked up to his desk, picked up his backpack, and left, under the speechless look of his classmate.
"Why did he get so angry?" That same classmate rubbed his head and asked.
"Maybe he is jealous. You know, my parents are only C-Rank hunters and they are rarely at home for more than a week in a month because of their missions."
"They had to hire a nanny to take care of me when I was a kid, and now my sister. I don't know why they have to do so many missions."
A boy replied while looking a bit resentful.
"I know something about this."
The student who made Sam angry spoke.
"You know, Eric?" Aria and others were surprised and curious at the same time.
They learned quite a lot today. Originally, Aria wasn't expecting to learn so much, but it turned out she underestimated children's curiosity.
While the government might have prohibited the Cultivation information leaking out to the children, there were still many illegal sites that could access some information.
Ken learned from these. So did Eric and Sam.
"Umm! I heard that the higher you cultivate, the more resources you need to make progress. Although I am not sure what realm you need to be a C-Rank hunter, it is definitely one or two realms above Body Tempering."
"So, they not only need to earn money to support themselves, but also you and your sister. On the other hand, Storm Sword Queen had already reached the peak of the current cultivation system."
"She doesn't need to spend resources on herself. We don't see Ken living an extravagant life with lavish cars and clothes. If we didn't have today's conversation, we wouldn't even know his parents were so powerful."
"More importantly, his father is still an A-Rank Hunter. My father is a B-Rank Hunter, but my mother is not a hunter. So, sometimes I heard her complain about how much money my father spends."
"Even though he has never really bought any lavish items."
Eric calmly explained.
While he was speaking, David was watching Aria. Just as he predicted, she was constantly changing her expression from being cold to gloomy.
Seeing her expression change so much with a single conversation, he couldn't bear to watch it.
As soon as Eric stopped talking, David spoke.
"Aria, you don't have to think too much. We still have two years to prepare ourselves. It might be too much to say everyone is willing to share their resources."
"But as friends, we will help each other get stronger. Our goal is to become full-time hunters after graduation. That's all that matters. That's what matters to you as well."
David gave her a thumbs up and said.
"If sharing a spell is prohibited, then we will create one together. That's what friends do."
Hearing his words, Aria was stunned for a moment, then she laughed. Her laughter made her look beautiful as she said.
"Creating a Spell might be too much for us, David. But thank you!"
Everyone in the classroom smiled simultaneously. They might not have been close friends or life-and-death friends.
But they shared a unique bond.
They were friends, ordinary yet good friends.
