Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Dangerous Terms

12 October 2025 – Devil's Side

Pain had a way of humbling even the angriest of men.

It had been three days since the warehouse fight.

Three days since Skull Mask broke Bunnyman's body… and almost his spirit.

The bruises still ached. His leg still stung. His ribs screamed when he moved too fast. But he was alive. Breathing. Walking again.

Mostly thanks to Tape Girl.

He didn't know what her game was. But whatever it was, she'd saved his life — and left him spiraling.

Morning – HOME

The sunlight creeped through the window of the small apartment. Bunnyman — mask off, just a student and part-timer now — sat at the kitchen table, flipping through the newspaper. His arm was wrapped, his thigh taped tight. Every movement still carried weight.

"Are you okay?" his sister asked, peeking over the edge of the table with sleepy eyes.

He smiled gently. "Yeah. Just tired."

She frowned. "You've been coming home late a lot."

"Night shifts," he said with a soft chuckle. "You know how it is."

"I made toast," she said proudly, handing him a slightly burnt slice.

He took it like it was the best meal in the world. "Thanks, chef."

For a brief moment, life felt normal.

But he knew it wouldn't last.

Nightfall – Rooftop, Devil's Side

The mask was on again.

The pain dulled by adrenaline. The anger sharpened to a blade.

Bunnyman watched the streets from above, thinking, waiting, wondering what Skull Mask's next move was. He wasn't ready yet. Not fully. But he was preparing.

Then — a voice behind him.

"You look better bruised."

He turned sharply.

Tape Girl.

Same outfit — tape, curves, danger. She walked along the edge of the rooftop like it was a runway.

"I figured you'd be sulking somewhere. Glad you're still breathing."

"I need your help," Bunnyman said, tone flat.

"Oooh. Straight to the point? No foreplay?" she teased.

He ignored it. "Skull Mask is bigger than I thought. You know that. You've seen it."

She smirked. "You want me to join your little bunny crusade?"

"I need someone who knows the underground. You're connected. And capable."

She walked closer. Inches away now.

"And what do I get in return?"

"I don't know. Money? Safety?"

Tape Girl grinned. "Nah. I want something else."

Bunnyman tensed. "What?"

She leaned in, lips near his mask. Voice low. Dangerous.

"You."

He froze.

"Be mine," she whispered, tracing a finger down his chest. "My toy. My plaything. You want my help, you belong to me."

He stepped back, caught off guard — but not rejecting.

Her smile widened.

"Think about it, Bunnyboy."

And then — gone.

She leapt into the dark, vanishing with the wind and her laughter echoing behind.

Bunnyman stood alone on the rooftop — more confused than ever.

This city was full of monsters.

And one of them… might just become his partner.
