Chapter 8 - Fivefold Tide Palm: Perfected Heavy Palm

Ye Wei and Lin Ziyan stood close—so close that he could faintly feel the curve of her hips against him. Ye Wei took a deep breath, forcing himself to focus, and guided Lin Ziyan's hand as they continued to sketch the god patterns.

"This divine line should shift here," Ye Wei said calmly, holding her hand. "These two divine marks must be dispersed, and this part rewritten with new lines."

"Got it!" Lin Ziyan nodded seriously. Following his guidance, Yuan Qi gathered at her fingertips and traced through the air. As the energy flowed, glowing divine runes formed, suspended in the air like shimmering script.

One by one, the symbols aligned—then ding!A harmonious ring echoed through the space as the patterns finally assembled perfectly.

Blue light surged outward, brilliant and pure.

They had done it—the magical power had fully taken shape.

It was the true perfect form of the Threefold Tide Palm. Ye Wei smiled, his heart filled with satisfaction.

Suddenly—La la la! La la la!The sound of rolling tides rose in the air, three rhythmic waves echoing crisply in their ears.

"It's complete!" Lin Ziyan exclaimed, her voice trembling with excitement. "The divine lines flow so much smoother now. In battle, even saving a split second means a huge increase in power!"

She couldn't suppress her elation.

Even though the Threefold Tide Palm was just a low-tier mystical technique, its emotional weight was immense. It was the very first divine ability created by her grandfather, Jiang Liuwu.

"Even perfected, this spell can only reach the peak of low-tier spiritual techniques," she added. "But for our family, this technique means everything."

They had spent years trying to improve it, but even masters of the divine couldn't pinpoint the flaws—until now. She never imagined a boy like Ye Wei could perfect it.

But then—

Crash!Crash!

Two more tidal echoes followed the initial three.

Lin Ziyan's eyes widened in disbelief.

"The fifth wave?!"

It wasn't just the Threefold Tide Palm anymore—it had evolved into a Fivefold Tide Palm!

This wasn't just a minor refinement—it had transcended into a mid-tier spiritual magical power.

Ye Wei's adjustments had taken it to an unprecedented level of perfection!

Before she could react fully, a brilliant white column of light descended from above, enveloping Lin Ziyan. She stood within it like a goddess bathed in divine radiance. Her pores opened; her body absorbed the pure essence of the heavens.

This was no ordinary breakthrough—it was the reward of the Will of Heaven itself.

Such energy came only when one perfected a magical technique or created a new one. It was the reward from the ancient Divine Mountain's laws—a reward worthy of years of devotion.

Boom!

Lin Ziyan's consciousness roared. Her cultivation surged, broke past the bottleneck, and stepped directly into the realm of Martial Artists.

Watching this unfold, Ye Wei's heart pounded. He felt the overwhelming force as if it echoed something from his own dreams.

"Perfecting or creating magical powers… can grant divine energy and raise one's sea of consciousness?" Ye Wei murmured to himself.

His fists clenched. He had to create his own magical power—he must elevate his divine sea. Then, maybe, just maybe, he would no longer be called the waste with a mere red-grade divine sea.

The heavenly light slowly faded into starry fragments before vanishing.

Lin Ziyan turned to look at Ye Wei. Her gaze was a mixture of shock, wonder—and deep gratitude.

Who had dared call Ye Wei a waste? At just thirteen, his soul sensitivity was already monstrous. He had perfected a divine ability that even gods couldn't fix.

If such a person were called useless, then what did genius even mean?

"The true path to becoming a Divine Engraving Master," Lin Ziyan thought, "starts with soul perception—and Ye Wei's is almost beyond imagination!"

Three years ago, Ye Wei had entered Nanxing Academy. But he had spent all that time in the lowest class—Class Three of the junior division. Three years of his life, wasted.

"If someone had guided him from the beginning, he could be preparing for the Divine Engraving Master exam now!" she realized.

"Thirteen years old… and almost qualified to be a Divine Master?! Someone must be held accountable!"

Lin Ziyan's expression turned serious as she said, "Ye Wei, you've helped me perfect the Threefold Tide Palm—no, the Fivefold Tide Palm—and helped me reach the warrior level. I owe you deeply. If you need anything at all, just ask!"

Ye Wei chuckled, scratching his head. "It's no big deal. Just lending a hand."Though, in his heart, he couldn't deny the… unforgettable rewards of their close contact.

Lin Ziyan, her expression solemn, pressed on. "Did something go wrong during your admission test? If it was unfair, I'll speak to the Vice President myself. If they don't give an explanation, I'll make sure justice is served!"

Ye Wei waved his hands quickly. "No, no—it's fine. My soul perception only improved in the past two years. I think it has something to do with… a dream."

He remembered those mysterious dreams clearly, dreams that had changed his life.

Lin Ziyan nodded thoughtfully. "That makes sense. Many cultivators awaken their soul perception in dreams. In that case, I'll introduce you to a Divine Engraving Master—one with tremendous seniority. If you become his student, your growth will be even faster!"

"Really? Thank you, Miss Zi Yan!" Ye Wei said, eyes shining. Studying under a Divine Master—this was an opportunity that could change everything.

"You can call me Sister Ziyan from now on." She smiled warmly.

"Sis—Sister Ziyan…" Ye Wei stammered.

Lin Ziyan giggled at his awkwardness. "Go on now. I'll find the master and contact you once I've spoken to him."

Ye Wei nodded, bowed slightly, and walked away. As he left, his thoughts returned to everything that had just happened—especially the intimate proximity to such a graceful and beautiful woman.

If only… she could become his girlfriend someday. But he knew how impossible that seemed. Their worlds were too far apart.

Still, if he became a Divine Master—perhaps that gap would no longer matter.
