Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Time Skip

Almost ten years had passed since Ash's birth, and he had grown into a curious and adventurous young boy. Under Daniel's guidance, Ash had become proficient in various forms of combat, learning how to wield a sword, shoot a bow, and fight with his bare hands.

As Ash approached his tenth birthday, his mother, Evelyn Crimson, began to prepare him for his future role as a leader of the Ashborn family. She taught him about the history of their family, the politics of Eridoria, and the importance of honor and loyalty.

Ash proved to be a quick learner, and his skills in combat continued to improve. He spent hours training with Daniel, eager to master the art of warfare.

Ash's combat abilities were growing rapidly, and he was becoming a formidable young warrior. With Daniel's guidance, he was confident that he would continue to improve and become a powerful force in the world of Eridoria.

As Ash approached the end of his tenth year, he began to wonder what the future held for him. Would he become a great warrior like Daniel, or a leader like his mother? Only time would tell, but one thing was certain - Ash was destined for greatness. With his mother, Evelyn Crimson, as his role model, Ash knew that he had a lot to live up to. He was determined to make her proud and prove himself as a worthy successor to the Ashborn legacy.

The journey ahead would be filled with challenges and opportunities, but Ash was ready to face whatever came his way. He was a young boy with a big dream, and he was determined to make it a reality.

After a long day of training, Ash decided to take a refreshing bath to unwind. The warm water soothed his muscles, and he felt his tension melt away. As he soaked in the bath, he couldn't help but think about his progress and what the future held for him.

After his bath, Ash made his way to the dining hall, where his mother, Evelyn Crimson, was already seated. The aroma of delicious food filled the air, and Ash's stomach growled in anticipation.

"Good evening, Mother," Ash said, taking his seat beside her.

"Good evening, Ash," Evelyn replied, smiling. "I see you're looking forward to dinner. You must be famished after your training today."

Ash nodded, and the two of them began their meal. The conversation was light and pleasant, with Evelyn asking Ash about his day and his training. Ash shared his experiences with her, and she offered words of encouragement and advice.

As they dined, Ash felt grateful for the bond he shared with his mother. She was not only his parent but also his mentor and role model. He admired her strength, wisdom, and kindness, and he aspired to emulate these qualities as he grew older.

The dinner was a lovely opportunity for Ash to connect with his mother and recharge for the challenges ahead. As they finished their meal, Ash felt refreshed and ready to face whatever the future held.

As they finished their dinner, Evelyn leaned forward, a gentle smile on her face. "Ash, I wanted to talk to you about something," she said. "You know that most of the family has been away on their respective missions and duties. Well, they're all scheduled to return in about a month."

Ash's eyes lit up with excitement. "Really? That means I'll get to see Grandfather, Aunt Lirien, and Uncle Kael soon?" he asked, naming some of his favorite family members.

Evelyn nodded. "Yes, that's right. It'll be a big reunion, and I'm sure they'll all be eager to see you. You've grown so much since they've been away."

Ash couldn't wait to see his family members again. He had fond memories of playing with his cousins and listening to his grandfather's stories. He looked forward to hearing about their adventures and sharing some of his own experiences with them.

"I'm really looking forward to it, Mother," Ash said, smiling warmly. "It'll be great to have everyone back home."

Evelyn smiled, pleased with Ash's enthusiasm. "I'm glad you're excited, Ash. We'll make sure to prepare a big welcome for them."

As they talked, Ash felt a sense of warmth and belonging. He loved being surrounded by his family and friends, and he knew that their return would bring a lot of joy and happiness

As they chatted, Evelyn brought up a topic that Ash had been thinking about a lot lately. "Ash, have you given any more thought to the academy?" she asked.

Ash nodded, his interest piqued. "Yes, Mother. I've been thinking about it a lot. I'm excited about the opportunity to learn more and meet new people."

Evelyn smiled, pleased with Ash's enthusiasm. "That's great to hear. The academy is a wonderful place, and I'm sure you'll thrive there. You'll have the chance to learn from some of the best instructors and make lifelong friends."

Ash's eyes sparkled with anticipation. "I'm looking forward to it. Do you think I'll be able to make a name for myself there?"

Evelyn chuckled. "I'm sure you will, Ash. You have a lot of potential, and with hard work and dedication, I'm confident you'll excel. Just remember to stay focused and take advantage of all the opportunities that come your way."

Ash nodded, feeling a sense of determination. He was going to make the most of his time at the academy and prove himself to be a worthy student.
