Synopsis
A world on the brink. A thread once golden, now unraveling… Before the prophecy. Before the girl with devil ears or the immortal man behind the mask— There were others. Forgotten names. Crooked smiles. Small revolutions. This is their story. Boundless: A Loose Thread is a standalone anthology of short stories set in the smoky, sacred, and splintering world of Boundless—a gothic 1920s-inspired fantasy where divine silence grows louder by the year, and broken people chase meaning in the cracks left behind by angels and empires. Set across the shrine-ruled isles of Furueru, the mystic highlands of Raonach, and the jazz-fueled chaos of Rhapsody, this collection follows characters who don’t make the history books—but might just break them: From a Nobel who has no social cues, to a doll forgotten in a manner,r to even a news reporter whose only ability is her good luck With a blend of dark humor, wit, and aching vulnerability, A Loose Thread unspools quiet tragedies, strange romances, and unsettling joy in a world shifting from divine fate to industrial ambition. It’s a test. A taste. A thread pulled loose from a greater tapestry. And if you follow it far enough… You may find the whole world coming undone.

Chapter 1 - Pudgy Price and Prickly Knight

Prouluge

 The country of Ymadaellon

Ymadaellon is a small, mist-veiled country that rests along the western borders of Raonach.  Once a patriotic and free country now exists as a sub-nation territory under the rule of Prospérer. Though Ymadaellon now swears fealty to the Crown, their internal governance remains semi-autonomous under the Crown Unity Accord of X392 by the King of the era. In X442, the Laws in Ymadaellon Acts formally annexed Wales into the Kingdom of Prospérer, which included:

Abolished Ymadaellon law and made Prospérerian law the standard.

Created Prospérerian-style counties in Ymadaellon.

Disallowed the use of the Ymadaellon language in legal settings.

Gave Ymadaellon representation in the Prospérerian Parliament.

Today, the land is overseen by its Lord Protector, Rhys Llewellyn, while also known by his people as  Voice of the Grove. Though the Llewellyn line was absorbed into the empire three generations ago, . Ymadaellon is a very culturally rich place, it's deeply musical, with folk songs, harp performances, and their faith is strong with Shrines built into cliffs, trees, and stone circles of the seven heavenly angels. With its mountains, Villages cling to the sides of jagged peaks, and in the valleys below, seasonal floods sweep the land with its rushing

waters .. Even with the subjugation of Prospérer, there is pride in the Ymadaellon people for their country. The humans here love to sing songs of old and about The Great Mytho War from nine hundred years ago, a war that freed humanity from the shackles of oppression, but that's a story for another day. This is the tale of one boy.

A prince who was spoiled, arrogant, and unbearably perverse

And the young girl who struck him like a clean blade through Piger meat

This is the story of the Pudgy Prince—and his first, and only, true love.
