[Drex POV – Desmire Inner Lounge]
The lounge was quiet. Too quiet.
Drex sat alone, legs restless and fingers tapping against his blade hilt. A shiver rolled down his spine. Something was wrong. Deeply wrong. A pulse — faint, yet unmistakable — spread through the estate like a cold wind through a crack in the wall.
He stood, his ring glowing as it released a sheathed sword into his hand — a relic passed down from one of the Desmire ancestors. A blade that thrummed when demonic energy was near.
And right now? It trembled violently.
His eyes darted upward."No…" he breathed. The pressure was coming from his sister's room.
Without hesitation, he dashed toward her quarters. The corridor was long, and the farther he went, the heavier the air grew. He reached her door and knocked hard, panic creeping into his voice."Lucy? Lucy, open up—what's going on?!"
The door creaked open — and a stranger stepped out.
But Drex didn't move. Couldn't.
The figure before him had horns like polished obsidian, hair flowing like liquid moonlight. Her skin was pale with faint blue veins threading toward glowing eyes of deep crimson. Her presence alone felt like death in velvet form.
His knees nearly buckled. "A demon…" he whispered.
He raised his sword on instinct, ready to scream for help—
Until her face tilted slightly, and he saw something.A flicker of familiarity. Her clothes. Her eyes. Her—
"Lucy?"
The word tumbled out of his mouth, cracking with disbelief.
The demon paused. Her head twitched slightly, as if hearing a whisper through a storm. Her eyes didn't soften — but they hesitated.
"Lucy," he said again, louder. "Is that… you?"
Her voice came — distant and hollow, but still hers."Drex…?"
Before he could respond, a thunderous knock rattled the hall.
"Open the door! We've tracked it here!" Voices. Soldiers. Demon hunters.
Drex's blood froze.
He looked at his sister — or what she'd become—and panic surged through him.
"Come with me—now!" he hissed, grabbing her arm and pulling her toward the side exit. She didn't resist. Her mind still fogged from the mirror. From her transformation. From the pain.
They reached the edge of the hallway as the door burst open behind them.
Outside, thirteen armed hunters stood waiting, their blades and bows already drawn. Their leader, a man with golden hair and silver armor, stepped forward, voice sharp.
"She's a demon. Possibly a succubus class — don't listen to a word she says."
Lucy stepped forward, trying to explain. "Wait—I'm not—"
But the man interrupted her. "Silence, demon."
He charged with stunning speed."I am Ryuen, son of Vatrax, and you—"He lunged, blade aimed to kill.
But Lucy swayed gracefully, and without even raising a hand, ice surged from the ground and encased his legs. He gasped.
She stared at her own hands, stunned.I just thought of it… and it happened…
The other hunters rushed to attack—but their bodies began to slow, their weapons trembling mid-air. They collapsed, one after another.
Drex blinked, confused."What just—"
Then he saw her.
A woman in black stood casually among the fallen. Her face was hidden behind a mask with a haunting smile carved into it, and silver hair flowed down her back. Her curvy form moved like silk in the moonlight. Cold, calculated, and completely in control.
She tapped Ryuen on the back of the neck with the hilt of her blade. He collapsed instantly.
"Who—" Drex stepped back, ready to draw again.
She ignored him and turned to Lucy.
"You're coming with me."
Lucy frowned, still catching up. "Who are you? Why would I follow someone I don't know?"
"If you stay," the woman said, her voice firm and low, "you'll be dead within the hour. Your family won't spare you — especially not your uncle. Maybe not even your father."
Drex flinched. "What… what do you mean?"
The masked woman held up a phone. On the screen was a clear picture: Caelen, cleaning dishes beside Rebecca, casually laughing. Completely unaware.
Lucy's eyes widened. "No—leave him out of this. Caelen has nothing to do with—"
But the woman turned and began walking. "We don't have time. Decide."
Lucy froze, torn. Her claws curled tightly against her sides.
Drex stepped forward. His expression held a bitter mix of regret and heartbreak.
"I'm sorry, Sis. I… I think I was tricked."His voice cracked. "I just realized that they lured Father out of the house. Twenty minutes ago, someone told him they spotted a silver-haired demon."
His hand trembled as he looked down. That wasn't a random lead… it was a setup."They must have wanted to take or something."
He clenched his jaw.
"I was a fool. I didn't see it until now. That book, maybe it was fake. Maybe they wanted you to turn into this. Or maybe… someone wanted to keep Father away long enough to make sure you didn't die."
Lucy stared at him, silent.
"I won't stop you," he said finally. "And I don't want to fight you ever."He stepped back. "Go. Before I lose the only sister I have left, but I promise I will make whoever did this pay."
Lucy opened her mouth to argue, but Drex smiled sadly.
"I have to grow up, Lucy. Take charge of my life… or I'll lose you too."
He turned away.
Lucy hesitated for a long moment—then followed the woman in black, heart racing, mind spinning.
[Caelen's Room – 30 Minutes After Lucy's Awakening]
The soft clicks of a controller echoed through the dim room as Caelen leaned back in his chair, a half-finished energy drink sitting beside him. He wasn't even paying attention to the game anymore.
He hadn't been, ever since the strange notification had filled his vision.

He scrolled through the interface, pausing on the stat block that had been locked for so long. Something new flickered at the bottom.
Caelen stared at the display, blinking slowly.
Unspent Stat Points: 15

"…So, I'm actually cheating now."
He cracked his neck and smirked. "Alright, alright... let's not get greedy."
He tapped quickly, his fingers brushing over the attributes that mattered right now:

Agility: 18 → 23

The moment he confirmed the change, a deep pulse rippled through his chest. His muscles tightened slightly, not with pain but with an invigorating hum — like his whole body had just been wrapped in warm energy.
The demon energy's flowing better, he noted. Still not at full potential… probably 'cause I was born human and maybe still am one, cause I do not really feel demon-like..
He was about to lean back and resume his game when another sound sliced through the air.
[New Mission Received]
Servant Unstable
Lucille has triggered her bloodline. She is emotionally unstable and on the verge of total corruption. As her master, it is your duty as her master to stabilize her physically, emotionally, and mentally and keep her in control.
Reward: Ability to refine Lust Essence into Ability Points
Caelen sat up straight, blinking."Wait… already?"
He remembered the earlier message.'Congratulations on obtaining a Primordial Wrathful Lust Demon Servant.'
He'd expected it to take days. Maybe weeks. Evelyn had only delivered the manual and seed recently. But apparently… desperation had sped things up.
"So her father's more reckless than I thought." He ran a hand through his hair. "Or more ambitious."
Then he noticed something — a name in the interface he checked for the first time.
Servant Name: Lucille Desmire
Bond Strength: Level 1 (Unstable)
Control Access:Pending Synchronization
Her name burned on the screen like a curse and a prophecy.
Caelen stood, walking slowly to the far corner of the room where his phone had been tossed — one he hadn't bothered using until now. It was bound in black leather, sealed with a wax mark shaped like teeth.
"I never asked for this, or maybe I kinda did haha."
He sighed.
"But I can't let her get hunted. Not by people like her own family. Not after what I saw in that memory fragment…"
He clenched his jaw, remembering the image he'd seen during the notification: a moment of blood, of screams, of red light swallowing a girl's humanity.
"Dammit where did that come from, I never saw that with Emma, is Lucy different too somehow."
He grabbed his jacket and stretched his fingers, letting the familiar hum of demonic aura brush the tips. He didn't activate his demon form — not yet.
