Chapter 153: Aria's Choice
ARIA POV
My daughter's cry pierced through the war noise.
I held her tighter against my chest as the dragon's corrupted fire burned through Ember's shields. My baby was only three days old, born in secret during the chaos of war. I'd planned to tell everyone after we won the fight.
Now we might all die before I got the chance.
"The ritual affects bloodlines," Ember said, her voice weak as she fought against Lady Vex's attack. "Your daughter will lose all memory of you. She'll grow up thinking she's an orphan."
"I know," I whispered, tears running down my face.
"Aria," Kael said behind me. "We have to choose. Now."
I looked at the three brothers—my friends, my family, my everything. Kael's face was hard with purpose. Jaxon looked desperate and afraid. Lucien was holding the ancient book, ready to break their triplet bond forever.
