"Hey, let's finish this quickly"
"I am already late …"
"Hyaaaa—"
Two masked men rush at Seungho standing tall above them, wearing a new ironed but most likely rented suit and tie, and as one of the thugs approaches his left leg, Seungho slings his foot into the sky with the sun shining on his leg as he brings it down.
The thug strikes the concrete with his face and lays there unconscious. The other masked man stops in this path and backs away from Seungho, trembling like a grasshopper with his fist out in front of him, as Seungho walks towards the entrance of the alley.
"I'll take this with me" Seungho says, fisting a small purse in the sky as he exits the alley behind the 8/11.
"Phew…I almost dirtied this rental"
Seungho pats the dust off his pants.
An hour before …
Seungho awakes in his bed, sitting straight up with bulging eyes and one glance at the clock, jumping out of his bed, throwing the blanket over his head.
He chooses to brush his teeth and shower at the same time before eating two raw eggs and running out of the door, waking his roommates peeking out their rooms.
"I can't be late todayyyyy…" He yells running down the road passing by speeding cars.
"Hey someone stop those thugs"
"Someone stop them"
An elderly woman yells out into the crowd of people, everyone looks ahead at the two men running with a purse in their fist.
Behind them on the same road alongside the cars, comes Seungho following behind the thugs and once they enter the alley, he towers over them splitting the loot, making them back away from the purse and into the trash cans.
"I'll return this for you guys" Seungho grabs the bag stuffing the stolen goods inside.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" The two thugs get behind him blocking his exit from the alley forcing him to back up.
He tosses the purse to the side, and the rest is history…
Present
Seungho is seen running past cars on his commute. People give him odd looks from their cars, and some cyclists are shaken but quickly regain their balance as he flies by at almost inhuman speeds.
Before long, he arrives at the interview just as the last interviewee leaves, sitting in front of the 4 executives skimming his resume as they pass it around between themselves.
"Mr. Kang, How come your only experience stated here is managing construction from 6 years ago" The lady recruiter gives a concerned look at the disheveled Seungho wearing a now dusty suit and an undone tie.
"My father owned a construction company when I was younger" He smiled innocently, mostly excited to have made it to the interview in time just as the recruiters were preparing to leave.
This interview was at the most prestigious TV station with an outstanding 20% rating which is no light achievement, and Kang Seungho was desperate for this job; Already on his last leg, he had previously gone to every competitor of theirs, yet unable to find any luck on his job hunt. Now on his 2nd to last interview…
"Well, tell us…What makes you qualified for this position" An old fellow, with a sharp white beard looking as the oldest amongst the other recruiters, strips his reading glasses and places them on his stack of resumes.
Kang Seungho knew he had to impress the old man or it's over for him.
A sweat rolled down his cheek.
"Well Of Course, I am totally qualified for this job because I will never miss a good story…and…"
"Just like how you didn't miss this interview" The right most recruiter smirked as he mocked Seungho, leaned back in his seat he saw Kang Seungho had no chance.
"Don't mind him, please continue" The lady in the middle spoke up signaling with her hand telling him to continue.
Seungho felt his muscles tense up, his face was bright red he was sure, so pitiful he thought to himself, he closed his fist tightly squeezing his thighs; glancing at his scarred hands, he wiped the sweat from his calloused palms before continuing.
The interview ended not long after.
