Nobody told me that after your first time, you would feel so sore. I was currently in Cyrus's bathroom, in his bathtub, treating my sore sex with the warm water he had prepared for me. I woke up in his bed instead of my ruined bed. Washing my body, I came out, wrapping his black towel around my body. Coming out, I entered the closet and threw on some sweatshirt and sweatpants. I skipped downstairs to the dining table. My breath got caught in my throat when I saw Xavier sitting by the table. What time was it and when did he arrive that I heard nothing?
"Good afternoon, sleepy head." Cyrus greeted with a toothy grin. I blushed when everyone turned to look at me. "It's afternoon already?" I asked, surprised. Looking at the table, I realized that they were having lunch. "Must have been a long night for you then." My brother, Xavier, taunted. "I think you miss being at the hospital. Try disrespecting her again and this time, you will end up in the morgue." Cyrus growled at Xavier. Clearing my throat, I sat at my usual spot. Cyrus served me while I sat down, avoiding my parents' gaze. If it had been any other day, I wouldn't even mind him feeding me in their midst but after last night, I was now aware of them. I felt shy being in their presence. Leaning in, Cyrus whispered, "I have had your bed fixed." I blushed and nodded as I stole a glance at my family to find them staring at us.
Trying to act normal and clear the awkward atmosphere, I asked out loud, "where are Xerxes and Clarissa?" Cyrus replied, "Xerxes's house." After that, no one talked until lunch was over. Right after lunch, Xavier stood up and stormed upstairs towards his room. I also got up and ran after him. "Xavier." I held his hand. He pulled away and growled, "don't touch me with your filthy hands, you slut." Immediately he finished talking, Cyrus had already grabbed him by the throat before I could even notice what was happening. "Cyrus!" I called out, scared for my brother's life. Cyrus stormed towards the wall of the hall with his hand still around Xavier's throat.
Cyrus raised him up with the same hand around his neck, pressing him up against the wall. I ran to them. "Cyrus, you will hurt him, stop it." I cried. Immediately I grabbed his arm, he let go of Xavier. Xavier dropped on the floor like a pile of clothes while coughing. I knelt down and helped Xavier up. Glaring at Cyrus, I asked, "are you insane? He's your brother!" Cyrus's eyes slowly turned back to their normal colour as he shook his head and spoke, "for the record, Xavier is not my brother and yes, I am insane. I lose my sanity when someone tries to disrespect my mate, my Queen. Anyone who dares to even think of insulting you, surely has a death wish." He glared at Xavier.
Xavier looked at him, "we're not your siblings?" He asked, looking surprised. Even I was shocked. And he called me his mate. Which meant that Cyrus was also a werewolf. No wonder he was strong even though he hardly worked out. His exceptional qualities. How his eyes could glow, his ability to smell emotions. Xavier turned to me and apologized,"I am so sorry for insulting you, Aelia. I thought both of you were practicing incest." I looked at him and smiled, "it's okay." Looking at him, I realized that I wasn't really close to my twin brother at all. We usually talked and stuff but we barely hanged out. Cyrus and I used to go on dates and trips. Cyrus and I literally hanged out more than Xavier and I ever did. Xavier always thought Clarissa and I disturbed a lot. Cyrus also complained but he didn't dismiss us. That was probably why I was closer to Cyrus. But now, I had found out why I was attracted to my brother. We were mates.
To say I was excited would be an understatement. Xavier hugged me, pulled away and walked upstairs. Turning to face Cyrus, I squealed and threw my arms around him. He also wrapped his arms around me and twirled around. "I'm so happy that we are not siblings." I whispered, pecking his lips. "Aelia! No dating until you have started working!" Dad glared at us. Chuckling, Cyrus whispered, "will you be my girlfriend?" Happily, I responded,"yes." Cyrus kissed me. "Look at them, so shameless. They don't even care that there are elderly people here." Mom said. We chuckled. "Let's go out tonight." He said.
"Are you not supposed to be asking?" I glared playfully at him. He raised an eyebrow before he pulled away and asked, "do I have Her Majesty's permission to take her out on a date, tonight?" Giggling, I replied, "yes, you do." I ran to my room to get ready for the date. When it was almost time, I got dressed in a short flair chic denim dress with black heels. I put on a light make up and curled up my hair. Grabbing my black purse, I walked out of my room. "Aelia." Xavier called as he stared at me in shock. Cyrus stared at me. He was in a black long sleeved shirt with black trousers and his hair had been styled backward. For the first time, I acknowledged the fact that Cyrus was actually older than me. He was a man while I was just a little girl who knew nothing but to get good grades, make TikTok videos and disturb others' peace, his, to be precise, for fun. Once I had gotten to him, he towered over me, staring deep into my soul. I shyly looked up at him.
"Brother Cyrus, I think you have a date or has it been cancelled?" Xavier teased, snapping Cyrus out of his thoughts. Clearing his throat, he leaned in and kissed my forehead. "You are gorgeous, my Queen." He whispered as he took my hand and kissed the back of it. Butterflies filled my stomach. This man surely knew how to make a woman's heart flatter. "Shall we?" He held out his arm. Interlocking it with mine, I replied positively and he led me out of the hall while my family looked on. Outside, he helped me into his car then got in and drove out of the compound.
"So where are we going?" I asked. "We've been on many kinds of dates while we were siblings, I have ran out of ideas. Bear with me." He replied. Something told me he was just teasing me. Playfully glaring at him, I allowed him to take me to wherever he had in mind.
