After reading everything on the screen, Max paused, letting the reality sink in.
He thought, "How do I use this power?"
He whispered, "Copy body."
Nothing happened.
Then he focused—a bit more intention, a bit more clarity.
Suddenly, something stirred in his mind. He could feel information flowing, almost like a system booting up.
A sharp sting pulsed through his forehead.
A single drop of blood oozed out from between his brows, rising slowly in front of him.
One drop became two.
Two became three.
And soon, it formed a floating clump of blood, twisting and shifting.
To anyone else, the scene would be disturbing nauseating even.
But to Max, it was fascinating.
He enjoyed mystery, horror, even gore. This? This was exciting.
From that fleshy mass, a small, bloody infant began to form. Bones emerged.
Muscles layered onto the skeleton.
Veins, nerves, skin And within just a minute, there stood another Max—fully grown, fully nude.
Max stared at it, momentarily disturbed he was literally seeing himself naked.
But the unease faded as he realized he was also seeing through it.
It was as if he was watching himself… from outside.
He reached out and touched its shoulder.
He felt a sensation as if someone had touched his shoulder. His head buzzed with pressure. He closed his eyes.
And then—
He was inside the copy body.
He could control it, move it, feel through it.
It was strange.
Like a man born with one leg suddenly given two.
Unstable at first—but powerful.
Max understood: he could only fully control one body at a time.
He dressed the copy. Then he closed its eyes and opened his own original eyes.
Back in his room, he looked at the screen again.

Max, ever cautious, sent the copy body through the portal first.
Then, he woke up—in his room.
He laid down again, closed his eyes.
Meanwhile, the copy body emerged into a dense jungle.
Max could feel it all—
The scent of the trees, the sound of birds, the rush of a distant waterfall, cool mountain air.
