Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Senju Princess and the Impossible Mission

Naruto World – Konoha

Inside a spacious room, a young woman sat in silence.

She had a tall, well-proportioned figure and long, honey-blonde hair tied into a high ponytail. Her beauty was striking, her presence commanding.

This woman was none other than the princess of the Senju Clan, Tsunade.

At this moment, Tsunade was staring at the strange interface floating in her mind, a mysterious chat group, murmuring to herself:

"A chat group... Doesn't seem like genjutsu."

"If the items in that shop are real... could I use them to grow stronger, maybe even end this war...?"

Just then, a burst of chaotic footsteps echoed from outside the room.

"Lady Tsunade! Trouble!"

Tsunade frowned. "What happened?"

A Konoha shinobi bowed low.

"Lord Orochimaru just returned to the village. He said, Lord Nawaki has been… involved in an incident."

Her pupils contracted.

Tsunade's voice trembled.

"Where's Orochimaru? Take me to him!"

"At once!"

Tsunade rushed after the messenger and entered a small room.

Inside, Orochimaru and Jiraiya stood silently, their faces dark and heavy.

Tsunade's steps faltered as she took in the atmosphere.

"You… might not want to look."

Jiraiya gently blocked her path.

"Doesn't matter," Tsunade said flatly, her voice hoarse. "Even if I saw him, I wouldn't recognize my own brother…"

Orochimaru's face was cold as ever. He handed her a pendant without saying a word.

It was the very gift Tsunade had given Nawaki just the day before, for his birthday.

She caught the pendant with trembling hands, and ran past them, eyes wild.

What she saw made her blood run cold.

A pool of blood soaked the floor.

"NAWAKI!!"

Clutching the necklace, Tsunade collapsed to her knees, sobbing uncontrollably.

Why?

Why… did this happen?!

Just yesterday, Nawaki had celebrated his birthday… had spoken so eagerly about becoming Hokage…

"The dead can't come back…"

Jiraiya's voice was soft, but it pierced like a blade.

Come back…?

Suddenly, Tsunade remembered something, the strange chat group she'd just joined.

Inside it, the other members had said that, with enough points, anything was possible.

Could she bring Nawaki back?

The people in the group, they all had grand, godlike names.

Maybe… just maybe… one of them knew how to bring someone back from the dead?

Of course, a part of her still couldn't fully trust this bizarre group.

But right now, it was the only hope she had left.

Still, even if someone there could revive Nawaki…

Why would they help her?

She had just joined the group today. To them, she was a complete stranger.

Reviving someone from death… that couldn't possibly be easy.

Tsunade looked down at the bloodstained floor, and made up her mind.

She focused her thoughts, and the interface of the chat group reappeared in her mind.

[Senju Princess]: Can the chat group… bring someone back to life?

[My Little Sister's a Chunibyo]: Umm… I don't think the group has that kind of feature. But… maybe a group member might know a way?

[Commander of the Great Wall Garrison]: There's no resurrection method in my world.

[Blade King]: Did… something happen?

[Senju Princess]: I just received news, my little brother died in battle. And yesterday… was his birthday…

[My Little Sister's a Chunibyo]: Oh no… I'm so sorry for your loss.

[My Little Sister's a Chunibyo]: That's heartbreaking. I'll mourn for him in silence.

[Blade King]: My condolences.

Reading their replies, Tsunade felt her heart sink.

But she still held on to hope, and kept typing.

[Senju Princess]: If there's any way to bring Nawaki back, I'm willing to pay any price. Please, I beg you.

"So it is Tsunade…"

Carl looked at the request posted in the chat group and immediately understood.

He remembered, Tsunade did have a younger brother, who died young.

Just around the age of graduation from the Ninja Academy. Barely twelve or thirteen.

And judging from her appearance now, she was still in her teens herself, not yet one of the legendary Sannin.

So this was that point in time.

As for resurrection, Carl's Silver Superman template actually did have the power to bring someone back.

While Carl pondered this, the rest of the group was equally stunned.

[My Little Sister's a Chunibyo]: ??

[Blade King]: A… mission? Wait, the group has missions?!

[Commander of the Great Wall Garrison]: First time I've ever seen one.

[My Little Sister's a Chunibyo]: This one looks brutal… Is resurrection really possible?

[Commander of the Great Wall Garrison]: I wouldn't know. I'm a soldier, not a miracle worker.

[My Little Sister's a Chunibyo]: I'm just an ordinary girl… It's already hard enough to survive in my world. Let alone perform resurrection...

[My Little Sister's a Chunibyo]: I'm really sorry, @Senju Princess.

[Senju Princess]: It's alright. I wasn't expecting anyone to take the task anyway. I know resurrection sounds absurd.

[Senju Princess]: But since the mission was posted, all I can do now is hope. If it doesn't work out, then… so be it.

[Blade King]: I'm sorry. I can't do it either.

Reading the messages, Tsunade's flicker of hope was quickly fading.

Maybe she'd been a fool to believe in this fantasy.

[Senju Princess]: Don't worry. I just… had to try.

And then, out of nowhere, the silent newcomer finally spoke up.

[God Among Mortals]: You know, I've been curious about visiting other worlds. Might be fun to take on a mission while I'm at it.

[God Among Mortals]: Need my help, @Senju Princess?

Tsunade's heart skipped a beat.

[Senju Princess]: Of course! If there's even the slightest chance to bring Nawaki back, please, I beg you!

[God Among Mortals]: No problem. It's a small matter.

[My Little Sister's a Chunibyo]: (oДo*)

[My Little Sister's a Chunibyo]: Wait, what? That quiet newbie is actually a boss-level player?! You're just gonna take the resurrection mission?

[Blade King]: WHAT?! Bringing someone back from the dead is a small matter to you?! Then what would count as a big one?!

[Commander of the Great Wall Garrison]: This is… surreal.

???

What's going on here?!

Was the mission… already completed?

It had only been a few seconds!

[My Little Sister's a Chunibyo]: Wait, what the hell?! Task complete?!

[My Little Sister's a Chunibyo]: Didn't it say it was extremely difficult? Wasn't this about resurrection?!

[Commander of the Great Wall Garrison]: That's insane.

[Blade King]: I can't believe someone actually pulled it off…

Everyone was still stunned by how fast God Among Mortals had completed the mission.

And then they saw the reward points, and their jaws dropped.

[Blade King]: Holy crap… That many points?!

[Blade King]: That's… ten thousand points! I've only ever had, like, a couple dozen…
