Chapter 7 - Chapter 6: You Shouldn't Have Revealed Your Identity

Luca was playing with the shiny 'Hextech' in his hand, and he started to understand a bit more about the synthesis behind his cheat.

It seemed that no matter what random materials he used, as long as the names of the materials matched what was required on the component list, the final synthesis would still turn out just like the original version.

It would look and function the same, even if it had weird or some highly unscientific conceptual abilities.

It was just a bit disappointing that the 'Hextech' seemed to be an item he wouldn't be able to synthesize anytime soon.

As for the "stable miniature reactor," the only one Luka could think of was the arc reactor in Tony Stark's chest, and that thing was tightly guarded.

There was no way an ordinary person could get close to it.

The other required component, "four different magical runes," was even further out of reach. He figured places like Kamar-Taj or Asgard were probably the only places such things could be found.

Since both components were extremely difficult to find, Luca decided to carefully store the glowing white 'Hextech' away for now.

As for the remaining 'Monkey Bombs'...

"Maybe these are the only three 'Hextech' in this whole world, but using them purely as bombs really does feel like a waste."

Even though he felt that way, Luca still didn't take out the remaining two crystals.

After all, if he was ever in danger, staying alive was way more important than saving some precious items.

He simply wrapped the bomb carefully with strips of cloth to avoid any accidental detonation.

Hextech was way more unstable than the Chitauri Energy Core—just a small bump could make them explode!

Besides the information about synthesis, Luca noticed that the words "Arcane World" had changed from "1/5" to "2/5" on the panel.

'Maybe something different will happen once I collect all five core components from the same world?'

Pushing these thoughts to the back of his mind for now, Luca glanced at the mess of supplies around him.

After a brief hesitation, he decided to throw out the two headless Chitauri corpses.

Luca's house was already wrecked, and it had been "invaded" by aliens. After the battle was over, the authorities would definitely send people to do a cleanup.

It might go unnoticed if he just hid two Chitauri Staff and a single purple crystal, but two large alien corpses?

The government would definitely recover those, and it's better to get rid of them now to avoid trouble later.

Luca first walked over to the hole in the wall of the building and leaned out to glance downstairs.

After confirming that no one was below, he dragged one of the corpses over and tossed it down.

"Ow!"

"Crap! Did I just drop it on someone?!"

Luka quickly leaned halfway out again to look down, but what he saw made his face pale.

He saw four people he knew very well appeared in the alleyway below the building.

One of them was super tall, with green skin all over, and was crouching down, checking on his companion, who got hit by the falling alien body.

That big green guy, The Hulk, picked up the corpse like it was nothing and threw it across the alley like a toy.

The unlucky soul who had been hit by the falling corpse was dressed in a dark red jacket. He looked really annoyed, his mouth twitching as he grumbled and tried to stand up.

The other one with him was wearing a tight blue suit and holding shiny round shields.

The last man looked like he was wearing an ordinary jacket, but Luca had just seen a younger version of that face not long ago.

That's right, the four people who had suddenly appeared below were none other than the Hulk, Ant-Man, Captain America, and Iron Man.

More importantly, Luka was fully aware that all four of them were from the future.

'Shit! Isn't this the plot of Endgame?!'

Before Luca could even think more about it, they all looked up at him at the same time.

Luca's expression shifted rapidly, and he immediately put on a panicked, flustered face.

"S-sorry! My house was just invaded by aliens—I swear, I checked, and there was definitely no one down there just now… Oh my god! Are you—are you Iron Man, Cap, and the Hulk?! I've seen you on TV before!"

Seeing Luca stumble over his words, clearly flustered, the four people below relaxed slightly.

Tony was the first to speak, pointing up at Luka.

"Hey—kid, this isn't your fault. Get back inside and stay safe, okay?"

Hearing Tony's words, Steve also quickly realized the situation. The four of them had appeared suddenly, and Scott getting hit was just pure bad luck.

Thinking back to what he looked like ten years ago, Steve straightened up slightly and called out in a steady voice.

"Kid, get back inside. We're handling the aliens, and we'll finish this soon!"

Luka, who had no intention of getting too involved with these people in the first place, had no plans to say anything more after hearing their words.

However, before he could retreat back into the house...

"ROOAARRR!!"

A loud, angry roar filled the air.

From the main road nearby, an enormous green figure, several times more massive than Hulk's current form, jumped into the alley, holding a smashed-up car above his head.

"BOOOM!"

Hulk came crashing down, smashing the car down hard on an unfortunate Chitauri.

"BANG!"

"CLANG!"

"CRASH!"

The car and Chitauri were getting squished like pancakes as Hulk pounded the alien again and again.

After smashing everything into a pile of metal, Hulk roared again and then jumped away, disappearing into the distance.

...

The scene instantly turned awkward.

Everyone, including Luka, turned to look at Dr. Banner, who was now covering his face, clearly not sure what to say.

"That just now… was the Hulk's older brother?"

Seeing the four of them frozen in place, not rushing off to do what they came for, Luka had no choice but to pretend and help break the silence.

"Uh… right, yeah! That's right! He's the Hulk's older brother… uh… Big Green! Yeah!"

Scott pointed at Bruce Banner beside him, waving his arms around a bit as he tried to back up the story.

After a second's thought, he added, "Oh, and by the way, you can call me Ant-Man. Uh… even though I haven't been on TV yet!"

The rest of the group all stared at Scott with expressions full of questions.

Seeing that the situation had been smoothed over, Luka naturally took the hint and prepared to make his exit.

"Good luck with everything!"

He quickly said and ducked back into the house.

The four down below exchanged glances and quickly left the area. However, Tony still took a moment to quietly whisper to Scott beside him.

"You really shouldn't have revealed your identity. That could mess with this timeline's future, especially since the one you told… was that kid, Luca Von Orange!"
