Chapter 1 - Chapter one the fog

He let out a deep sigh as he got out from bed "another day of the same bullshit, I swear I am going insane ". After changing his cloth and getting his gear ready, he got out and went to the diner to get some coffee.

When he entered, he saw a familiar face as he sat next to her, she said "good morning Mark" with an insomniac smile.

Mark replied with a chuckle" you look like dead possum Marcy".

"Ha-ha, I want to see you working all night to help a horse give birth" said Marcy with sarcasm

After ordering some coffee he asked with a change of tone "how has Alfred been doing "Alfred is Marcy's dad lost his wife, but he's still having a hard time accepting it.

"His doing the best he can and I just …." "It's alright you are doing your best, some people just can't accept the pain" said mark with a supporting tone "you sure have your way with words Mark" said Marcy with a smile.

Mark stood up and said, "I will take my self and go so see later".

" See ya later Tarzan" replied Marcy sarcastically.

...

Now up the mounting we go, thought, mark to himself. Walking past the hiking trail sings he saw a silver penny "lucky penny that good sing".

After some time, he reached the lake his chunk of heaven he called it as he was taking it all in, he saw a beautiful deer drinking the water" Marcy would love this "said mark in a hush

ever since Marcy was young, she loved animals, must because both her parents are veterinarians.

As Mark was getting ready to take a picture a loud siren that scared him and the dear "God damn it "said mark out loud as he taught to him self that was the town siren, I guess that's my sign to go.

As he got up to go, he heard the sound of a helicopter in the air, which surprised him since in the direction they came from was nothing but woods for a couple of miles.

Half way back to the town, he heard some rustling coming from behind. When he looked back, there was nothing but some weird fog about 20 meters away. When he was about to turn back and go, he heard a gut-wrenching scream for help that was coming from the fog. Before he could react, he heard the same scream from a deferent location, which activated a primal feeling of danger that told him that is not a human. He started to run like his life was on the line, which was actually the cases.

...

As her eyes got heavy taught Marcy "maybe I can sleep for a minute or two "as he dozed off before the phone jolted her awake." if it is another horse I will kill myself" said Marcy as he picked up the phone.

"Hello this is the animal care clinic how can I help you" said Marcy "hello Marcy this is MS. Jackson, "said the women on the phone." hay, MS. Jackson how can I help you today "replied Marcy "nothing much sweetie there is just a poor dog stuck in one of them wolf trap out there" said the old women with a worried tone "no need to worry well be there in a minute to help the poor dog "said Marcy before hanging the phone.

As Marcy was getting ready to go help the dog her dad interrupted her "hey little doctor where are you headed "which made her jolt "you scared me I thought you wear out" replied Marcy

"I just went to check on Johnny to see how is he doing" said her dad "oh how is he doing after that incident" asked Marcy in a caring tone "he is more stable" answered her dad before flowing up with a question "so wear are you headed" "going to help a dog that got stuck in a wolf trap" answered Marcy "do you need help with it" asked her dad "no need you should stay and watch the clinic" replayed Marcy as she got in the clinic car and drove away

"ah those damn wolf traps one day a kid going to fall on one of them why don't they just take them off already" Said Marcy in frustration

"this should be MS. Jackson home" said Marcy before parking the car and reaching to the medical bag in the back.

MS. Jackson came to the car the second she saw it "Marcy the poor dog is this way" said as she led the way

when Marcy got there she said in surprise "that is the dog you wear talking about "

"Yes, why?" replied MS. Jackson

"um… that is a wolf cub" said Marcy with a small smile

"what!" said MS. Jackson as she jumped away with surprising agility!

Marcy almost laughed at her but held her composer and said, "that little thing can't do anything while he's injured like that"

"Oh ok, so I will leave you to it" said MS. Jackson in an embarrassed tone before going back to the house.

"Hello little guy, don't worry I won't hurt you I am here to help" said with a soft tone that seamed to work surprisingly

not to long she finished cleaning the wound and patching it "all finished little guy just a weak and you Wil-" a loud siren cut her off

that is the town warning siren, it hasn't been used since ever I should probably get my staff and go back to the clinic taught Marcy to herself

as she stood up with the little wolf cube in her arm and the medical bag in the other, she heard a scream for help that sounded like a little girl

"that came from the woods" said Marcy as she looked into the general direction where she saw the weird fog that was creeping in from deep within the woods

another scream cut the silence before she could react, the wolf cub started barking at the tree line that was holding the fog somehow

Where a pair of eyes appeared from nowhere but as she focused on them, she could see the silhouette of a slender creature hiding behind the tree with a skin as white as the fog

Which scared her so much, she ran with the wolf cub and left the medical bag behind and got in the car and drove away.
