Gabriel's office buzzes with an energy I haven't seen since our first confrontation. Ethan Pierce paces behind the massive oak desk while Gabriel stares at his phone screen, his face lit with something between triumph and hunger.
"Look at this," Gabriel says, turning his phone toward me. The headline blazes across the financial news feed: "Harrison Industries Cuts All Ties with Ace Corporation - Stock Expected to Plummet."
I lean forward, letting my face show the right amount of concern. "When did this happen?"
"Twenty minutes ago." Ethan stops pacing, his eyes gleaming. "Your biggest client just publicly denounced your company. Called your leadership 'questionable' and your business practices 'unsustainable.'"
The beauty of it is that every word Harrison said is true. Because I told him to say it.
