Chapter 1 - The Monkey Who Woke Up Pissed

"What the FUCK!!"

A voice, not so human, but laced with something older, deeper, ripped through the sky like a dragon roused mid-dream. The clouds cracked and the wind flipped like it just heard something offensive.

He stood tall, confused, and dripping in ego. Like a demigod who'd missed the memo.

His gold-streaked white hair danced with the wind, long tail slicing through the air like it had unfinished business.

"What happened to this Lowly Mortal Place?"

He looked down from the jagged peak of a hill that looked like it had been waiting centuries for him to stand on it.

The land below? Metallic roads, Fast-moving machines, Towers made of glass and People walking with glowing rectangles in hand, smiling like idiots.

Disgusting.

"Where are the Immortal Sects? The Demonic Realms? The Sky-Splitting Beasts?"

He scanned the horizon with void-purple eyes—eyes that glimmered like collapsing galaxies. The air reeked of weak Qi. The kind of energy that wouldn't even boil a cup of heavenly tea.

This place... was wrong.

This was Earth.

But it wasn't his Earth.

Suddenly, a spiraling skyscraper caught his eye. No... not just a skyscraper.

A Tower.

And then another.

And another.

"Wait. Are those... Trials? Why do they feel...familiar?"

These towers weren't man-made. Not really. They bled aura, each one a monstrous spiritual presence locked in a shell of stone and structure. Layers upon layers of chaotic domains stacked into the sky.

Each floor was a different realm. Martial worlds, futuristic wastelands, beast-torn jungles, and hellscapes crawling with cursed evolution.

They were alive, and they were everywhere.

"How many?! Hundreds?! Across the planet?"

He blinked. For the first time in... how long had it been? Time didn't work inside a seal. But even a sealed god could feel the centuries, the weight of oblivion.

And now... this.

Earth had changed. No more Jade Empire, no more Divine Heavens. Just metal, electricity, and humans walking like ants who thought they ruled the sky

Then something opened up.

A rift tore open in the air.

The fabric of space screamed, and from it came a gate. Radiating Black colour. Crackling with unfamiliar divine energy, laced with code-like patterns of crimson and silver.

"Another anomaly?" he muttered, tail twitching like a whip.

A pulse of spiritual energy hit him in the face. And he hated it.

It wasn't divine nor was it demonic.

It wasn't even natural.

It was... synthetic.

From the gate, monsters began pouring out. Creatures that looked like they'd been put together by someone who'd never seen real horror before. Patchwork beasts with glowing weak cores.

Humans began showing up, dressed in bizarre armor, holding weapons that screamed factory-made.

"Gate Rank B! Formation A! Healers at the back!"

"Tank, draw aggro! DPS burn the frontline!"

What the hell is a DPS?! Wukong's eyebrow twitched.

One of the humans, a guy with blue hair and a sword bigger than his personality, suddenly screamed "SYSTEM! SKILL: FLAME CUTTER—ACTIVATE!!"

A wave of fire slashed the beast.

Wukong blinked. System? What system? Who allowed a "System" to manage divine energy?

He narrowed his eyes. He was the Monkey King. He didn't need permission.

He stepped down from the hill.

The sky shifted and the air got heavier.

The beasts stopped, sensing something primal. A pressure that did not come from this world. One of them shrieked, half in pain, half in terror.

Wukong ignored it. His gaze was on the humans. Curious and Weak. But somehow... empowered by this so-called System.

His hand clenched.

"Where is my staff?" he growled.

Silence answered him.

He reached out with divine senses, sweeping across dimensions and spirit planes. Still nothing. His Ruyi Jingu Bang was missing.

His golden eyes flared.

"WHAT KIND OF UNIVERSE LOSES A GOD'S STAFF!?"

The sky darkened instantly.

Clouds swirled.

Thunder cracked.

And right then—

A blue translucent screen blinked into existence in front of him.

"USER?" Wukong snarled. "What is this floating worm scroll doing in front of me?!"

He tried to poke it. His finger went through.

Then—

[DING!]

[Welcome, USER. Please choose your Starter Class: Warrior / Mage / Assassin / Tank.]

He stared at it blankly.

Then burst out laughing.

"I AM ALL OF THEM, YOU PIECE OF SHIT!"

He clenched his hand.

Golden lightning crackled across his skin, and the screen glitched.

The System trembled.

"Heh. I am the bug."

Then he did what he hadn't done in centuries.

He began to shift.

A golden aura wrapped around him, and his god-form started to change, his skin darkening, fur receding, tail fading, face narrowing.

He was hiding his divinity. Like a snake slipping into human clothes.

Why?

Because curiosity was stronger than pride.

He wanted to know what this new world was. Who was running it. Why the heavens were gone. Why divine energy felt like data.

And more importantly—

Who dared seal him a second time?

---

The Gate cracked shut behind the last monster falling. The blue-haired human turned, breathing heavily.

And saw someone, an unfamiliar young man, tall, lean, with sharp eyes and wild hair, standing casually, barefoot, looking at him like a bored emperor.

"Oi," Wukong called out, grinning. "What rank is this Tower?"

The hunter blinked. "Uh... you mean the Trials Tower?"

Wukong nodded.

The hunter tilted his head. "That one's... Rank S. No one's cleared past Floor 30."

Wukong grinned wider. "Good. I'll start from the top, then."
