Kael stepped forward slowly, each footfall echoing against obsidian walls carved with flame-bound glyphs. Molten rivers snaked through the floor like veins of a sleeping god.
At the chamber's center stood the Ashborn Executioner—an armored giant wrapped in golden flame, unmoving, as if awaiting judgment itself.

He dashed, circling wide, forcing the creature to pivot. He couldn't match its strength or speed—but there were cracks in its footing. It moved like something ancient... heavy.
He'd fought faster things. Just not things this strong.

Sparks. No blood. The creature barely reacted.
The next swing forced him into a roll that shattered the stone below.

"I'm ready," Selene said.
The beasts pounced.
She didn't retreat.
She moved like a ripple—every step in rhythm with an invisible tune only she could hear. Her sword carved arcs of silence into the air, and one by one, the beasts fell—without a cry, without a roar.
Just silence.
The final one lunged.
Selene spun and extended her palm.
