Chapter 1 - Dumb and Cannon

[Brain Storage]

The Burrow is a distinctively styled magical house located in the countryside.

It is always crooked, standing towards the sky,It is as high as several stories, and the red-tiled roof is dotted with a few crooked chimneys.

There are small windows and balconies of different styles on each floor of the house, on which various strange magical plants are grown. On the small windowsill of the third floor hangs a large rusty birdcage, in which always lies a listless old owl named Errol.

Anyway, Chase Everwyn, who has lived here for a month, thinks it has a kind of rough and unrestrained beauty.

Perhaps the vitality of magic is reflected in this wild frenzy.

Retracting his gaze, Chase Everwyn looked at the diary in his hand, picked up the feather pen again and began to write on it —

[It has been fourteen years since I explored the secrets of magic. Although I have made some achievements, I am still a long way from having normal magic.][Damn, if life is a story, I am just a funny character, not the protagonist at all.]

"What are you writing, Jack?"

Just when Chase was about to write furiously, two heads suddenly popped up from behind him, blocking the light.

The Weasley twin brothers, Fred and George, were staring at the contents of the notebook with wide eyes.

George's eyes widened in curiosity, "What is this? Magical text?"

"English!"

Seeing that the two were curious, Chase handed the notebook to them. Originally, there was nothing important written in this diary, it was just for venting and complaining.

You have to know that serious people don't write diaries. What they write down are either dirty talk or lies.

Not to mention that a time traveler who comes to the world of magical novels will keep his origins and any private thoughts secret from beginning to end.

"English?" George and Fred flipped through the diary. "Jack, have you ever been to England?"

"No, I met an English fellow traveler during my trip, and I thought of my family, so I learned from him."

Chase's words made George and Fred feel much depressed.

The two knew better than to dwell on the subject.

Chase Everwyn's mother is Mrs. Weasley's cousin and his father is a wizard from England.

But unfortunately, before Voldemort could cause trouble for Harry, the Death Eaters blocked Chase's family.

In the end, only Chase Everwyn escaped.

But because he had no magical talent (commonly known as a Squib), the wizard in charge of the case at the Ministry of Magic handed him over to a Muggle welfare agency after a cursory inspection.

But Chase was not reconciled. He did not want to spend his life like this, and kept trying to explore magic on his own.

After so many years of research,

He came to two conclusions: he really didn't have a golden finger,Or maybe he was a Squib, as the Ministry employees who had placed him in Muggle foster care had agreed.

But compared to ordinary duds, Chase Everwyn found something a little different.

Compared to the dumb one, the difficulty of his spellcasting is more inclined towards the cannon side.

Specifically, if Chase does not follow normal circumstances, he can perform magic, but the results are hard to describe.

Normal wizards would never accept this method of casting spells, such as a certain Hogwarts professor at the Burrow.

Filius Flitwick.

Just in time, he flew out from the yard of the shabby dwelling and rushed towards Chase and the others.

Seeing this, George and Fred put down their diaries and prepared to sneak away.

Based on the experience of the past half month, the situation will be very bad, at least for the two of them.

"George, Fred...don't leave!"

"Don't run~!"

"Petrified!"

With the wind and the spell, Professor Flitwick landed next to Chase like a cannonball.

With a wave of his hand, he lifted the spell from the twins and said, "Well, I have repaired this wand and fully reinforced it using goblin craftsmanship. It won't explode again."

"Chase, you have to give me another try."

As he spoke, he handed Chase a 'stick' that was much thicker than an ordinary magic wand... or some kind of rolling pin.

"I absolutely don't believe it. There must be some trick. I'm betting on the honor of all the previous spells professors at Hogwarts... I must find out how you cast spells today."

Professor Flitwick's white beard trembled up and down with his sharp screams. He stared at Chase with his small eyes, then took out his wand from his robes.

"Look, I'll show you again..."

"The key to the levitation spell is the subtle wrist movement!"

Professor Flitwick pointed at the twin brothers and made them spin in the sky like a spinning windmill. "Wave and shake. Remember! It's a wave and a shake!" (Obviously, the several pranks in the Burrow made the Charms professor remember the two of them very well)

Like a puppet, Chase lifted the rolling pin with great effort and mechanically swung it a few times according to the specified movements.

Nonsense, of course it's not easy, just ask any fourteen-year-old boy to try it. Unless he is a gifted boy like Hagrid, no one can lift such a thing to cast a spell.

Chase secretly groaned in his heart. He guessed that Professor Flitwick was so angry with him that he thought he could cast spells normally with this wand.

After his wrist was so sore that it almost fell off, Professor Flitwick finally started the next step, "Okay, repeat the spell!"

"Wingardium Leviosa... and never forget the difference between 'f' and 's'"

Chase secretly prayed that this would end soon. Anyway, based on his own experience over the years, he had no hope for the next outcome.

"Wingardium Leviosa—"

Finally, after practicing for half a day, Chase Everwyn waved his rolling pin wand and pointed it at his notebook.

Chant the levitation spell and perform it with complete accuracy.

Then,

The results were exactly the same as the hundreds of times he had cast the spell in the past half month.

The notebook instantly transformed into a rapidly expanding bison, with long white streams of air spewing out of its nostrils. It rushed and flew around in the sky.

The bison opened its mouth and was about to bite the twins' buttocks.

Professor Flitwick gritted his teeth in frustration and waved his wand to restore everything to its original state. (Brothers George and Fred screamed and fell to the ground, and the notebook snapped back to its original state and fell to the ground)

"How is that possible? The spell and the casting movements are all correct, and the wand was also forged by me personally..."

Professor Flitwick held his forehead in annoyance and kept muttering.

"No, let's try again! This time, let's try with a living thing..."

As soon as he finished speaking, the twins ran away. Professor Flitwick shook his head, raised his arm and waved it in the direction of the Burrow. Several roosters that were originally running around the yard somersaulted and flapped their wings and flew back.

Then, Professor Flitwick stood beside Chase, stretched his arms as far as he could, and stroked the back of his head with his thin, dry fingers. "Don't worry, cast the spell normally... Let me feel you casting the spell and see how your magic flows."

Chase raised his wand with great effort and waved it at the clucking rooster that was trapped in place, "Wingardium Leviosa!"

There are a few more mooing "flying cows" in the sky!

"Ah! Merlin!"

Professor Flitwick dropped his arms, plucked a large handful of his beard, and seemed a little overwhelmed.

Although it is a bit unfair to poor Professor Flitwick, this is indeed the aspect of Chase Everwyn, the Squib.

——Well, a great display of the artillery aspect.
