Elsewhere, in the depths of the Infinity Castle, Kokushibo knelt before Muzan, his expression composed but shadowed.
"…I failed to kill her," he admitted. "Because he came."
Muzan's eyes narrowed. The room darkened, pulsating with his fury.
"Sahiru," he growled. "He interferes again."
Kokushibo's voice was even. "He is no ordinary Slayer. He held back… yet still matched me."
Muzan turned away, cape shifting like living shadow. "So… the façade has finally stepped onto the real stage."
"Shall I prepare for another confrontation?"
"No," Muzan said coldly. "We wait. He will come again… and when he does, the true hunt begins."
Far away, Sahiru walked toward the Butterfly Mansion, carrying Shinobu silently. The war had shifted.
And its greatest variable had finally moved.
