Five days later, Mexico City Genetic Modification Institute.

Dr. Zander Rice stared at his creation: a younger version of Wolverine, X-24, replicated using Wolverine's genes. He couldn't help but burst into maniacal laughter.

"Finally, I've finally succeeded! A Wolverine who completely obeys my commands. The world will soon bow at my feet."

His father, Dale Rice, was one of the scientists who performed the adamantium grafting surgery on Logan, and he was casually killed when Logan escaped the lab.

From that moment, Zander resolved to kill all uncontrollable and dangerous mutants and create mutant soldiers who would completely obey his commands.

Later, he established Alkali Genetics, using the food and beverage companies he controlled to mass-distribute the M43 virus they had developed to the public.

This virus did not affect humans, but it suppressed the abilities of existing mutants and also eliminated gene mutations in human offspring.

After more than twenty years of effort, no new mutants would ever be born in this world again.

"Donald, since those test subjects are unwilling to obey orders, dispose of them all."

Turning around, Dr. Rice coldly ordered a man whose right arm was entirely replaced by a mechanical arm.

Originally, his plan was to use the mutant genes collected earlier to breed a new batch of mutant children through Mexican surrogate mothers, then sell them as weapons to other organizations.

However, after this period of experimentation, he discovered that these children, once they grew up, developed their own thoughts and could not be fully controlled; some even attempted to escape.

So now that he had successfully developed mutant duplicates that were fully under his control, he naturally no longer needed those failed specimens.

Moreover, he believed that perhaps it wasn't just about selling them as weapons. If he could consistently replicate a large number of mutants who obeyed his commands, he could completely rule the world.

"Should subject 757 also be disposed of?"

Donald was not surprised by Dr. Rice's suggestion.

Dr. Rice hesitated for two seconds, then nodded.

"Dispose of him. Now that the replication technology is mature, besides mass-replicating Wolverine, we might also be able to replicate Professor X and Magneto. There's no need to waste resources on inferior test subjects anymore."

"Understood."

Donald drew the pistol from his waistband, turned, and left the experimental base.

Meanwhile, George, who was practicing gesture-casting in his room, watched the clock on the wall, his expression gradually becoming serious.

"No, is it starting?"

Normally, at this time, someone should have already come to take him for training.

"It seems it has started."

Just then, his room door suddenly opened, and two familiar figures walked in.

Leading them was the instructor who had been training him all this time.

"I said this guy was useless. All this training was just a waste of my time. Now he's still going to be disposed of."

The instructor entered, glanced at George with disgust, then ordered the subordinate behind him, who was carrying a submachine gun:

"Take care of it, then throw the body into the lab's incinerator. It'll be burned along with that batch of little trash later."

"Yes, captain."

The subordinate raised the submachine gun, aimed at George, and cocked the bolt.

However, just as he was about to pull the trigger, he heard Subject 757 suddenly say something inexplicable.

"Alohomora!"

With a "click," the power dampener on Subject 757's neck actually came off automatically.

Immediately afterward, he felt a chill on his neck, and his consciousness gradually blurred.

It turned out that the moment he saw the two figures appear, George immediately began casting, but because his casting movements were very small, the two on the opposite side didn't take it seriously.

With the power dampener removed, his magnetic control completely erupted. The dagger he had previously placed by the door instantly flew up, directly slitting the guard's throat, temporarily averting the crisis.

Rip!

The instructor drew the dagger from his waist, deflecting the dagger that had ambushed him from behind. Cold sweat immediately beaded on his forehead.

"How is this possible?"

If he hadn't reacted in time just now, he would have met the same fate as his subordinate.

The moment he saw Subject 757's power dampener fall off, having constantly hovered at the brink of life and death, he immediately became alert and instinctively drew the dagger from his waist.

However, if Subject 757 had attacked him first, he probably wouldn't have had time to react.

"You've been hiding your abilities and strength?"

In his impression, Subject 757's speed and strength in controlling the dagger were not strong; he could usually deflect it easily.

But just now, although he had successfully deflected the dagger, his wrist still throbbed faintly from the powerful force behind it.

"Dead men don't need to know that much."

George controlled the dagger to "swoosh" and destroy all the surveillance cameras in the room. Then, like a raging storm, he launched an assault on the instructor who could usually easily defeat him.

He had indeed been hiding his strength, but he wasn't as strong as he was now. The main reason was the shared wizarding blood which had an unexpected boost to his mutant abilities.

Because the dagger was too fast, its angles too tricky, and its power quite formidable, after just a few rounds, the instructor was wounded.

He wanted to escape, to get close to George for hand-to-hand combat, but George gave him no opportunity. So, he could only defend as much as possible, hoping a comrade would discover the anomaly here and come to save him.

However, George knew that escape time was precious, so he wouldn't waste it here.

"Gun, come!"

As he continued to control the dagger's attacks, he beckoned towards the deceased guard, and the submachine gun in the guard's hand immediately flew into his grasp.

"Instructor... goodbye!"

Aiming the submachine gun at the instructor, who was still struggling to defend against the dagger, George pulled the trigger without hesitation.

He was not a rigid person; he wouldn't shy away from using a gun just to rely on his powers.

Tat-tat-tat-tat-tat

"Oh, God..."

The instructor's eyes widened in horror. Before he could finish his sentence, he was riddled with bullets.

Waving his hand to retrieve his dagger, and also collecting the instructor's dagger, George took the submachine gun and stepped out of his room, stealthily heading towards the outside of the lab.

Controlling the dagger, he destroyed all surveillance cameras that might spot him along the way, as well as any guards he encountered. Soon, he heard intense gunfire and screams.

Clearly, this time, it wasn't just him who was being disposed of, but all the mutant children.

Perhaps because of this, when problems arose on his side, no guards rushed over in time.

Compared to him, the chaos caused by the other mutant children was greater.

This was also why he had not been in a hurry to escape and had waited until today.

If he had tried to escape alone, in this experimental base full of surveillance, he would probably have been surrounded by a large number of guards within a few steps.

Facing a large-scale armed assault, he wasn't Magneto; he simply couldn't block it.
