Chapter 5: Training in the Time House, Soaring Combat Power
Hearing this, Bulma squinted at Frieza, curious: "So this is Frieza? Yeesh… he's even uglier than I imagined."
Frieza: "…"
"Hey, show some respect! That's the Emperor of the Universe you're insulting… Lord Frieza!" Jaco snapped, flustered.
Damn it! Why was Bulma's mouth always this sharp? As her supposed ally, Jaco felt deeply embarrassed in front of such a dangerous galactic tyrant!
Bulma threw Jaco a side glance and said dismissively, "So what? He may have been strong before, but Gohan's even stronger now. He'll deal with him, no problem right, Gohan?"
Gohan stared at Frieza with a serious expression, then shook his head. "I'm sorry, Aunt Bulma... Frieza's energy now is terrifying. It's on a completely different level. I don't think I can defeat him."
"Huh? You're serious?!" Bulma's confident smile vanished as she turned to glance at Frieza in disbelief.
Frieza was visibly losing patience. He floated forward slightly, eyes narrowing. "Where is your father, Son Goku?"
Gohan replied sternly, "Dad's still training harder than ever. If you want to fight him, you'll have to wait!"
Bulma quickly added, "Yes! Goku and Vegeta will be back soon so just be patient a little longer!"
"Hahahaha! Is that so?" Frieza sneered. "Well, after waiting this long, I suppose a little more time won't kill me. Very well I'll wait… for ten seconds."
"Ten… ten seconds?!" Everyone around choked, unable to hide their shock.
"Hey! You're too stingy with your time!" Bulma snapped angrily.
"Then time's up!" Frieza grinned wickedly. "Let the game... begin."
Sorbet raised his hand. "Attack! Eliminate them!"
In an instant, a tidal wave of over a thousand Frieza Force soldiers descended upon Earth from the sky, shouting war cries as they charged.
Gohan, Piccolo, Tien, and the others gritted their teeth. Without Goku or Vegeta, they had no choice but to fight with everything they had.
"There are over a thousand of them… that's more than 170 enemies per person. No time to hold back let's go!" Master Roshi said in a deep, resolute voice.
Without hesitation, Gohan and the others surged forward into battle, their Ki flaring as they rushed the invaders.

Meanwhile, inside the Room of Spirit and Time…
Luya was still in deep training. His Ki had reached an astonishing, nearly overwhelming intensity.
By this point, Luya had trained inside the Time Room for one year and three months equivalent to just over six hours in the outside world.
And his current combat power had soared to an incredible 6.5 billion.
Yes—6.5 billion in his base Saiyan form. No transformations.
The combination of the chamber's harsh conditions vast emptiness, 50 times Earth's gravity, and searing heat combined with Luya's elite Saiyan biology, had multiplied his strength many times over.
Even his base form now rivaled the strength of his early Super Saiyan state!
Luya collapsed onto the floor, drenched in sweat. He had undergone intense physical and mental conditioning during this time, and the results had far exceeded expectations.
"6.5 billion… Still probably not enough to defeat Frieza's current form," Luya muttered to himself.
He recalled Frieza's terrifying transformation Golden Frieza, achieved after just four months of training in canon. At that stage, Frieza's base power was estimated to be well above 7 or 8 billion, possibly even higher, depending on the suppression level.
"It's been over a year… Time to step out," Luya said quietly.
Even if he wasn't quite strong enough yet, remaining in such extreme conditions any longer risked physical strain beyond the limits. And if the others outside discovered how powerful he'd become in just over a year, they might see him as something unnatural a threat, or worse, a monster.
With that thought, Luya made his way toward the Time Room's exit.
---
Outside, atop Kami's Lookout...
Dende and Mr. Popo stood near the edge, watching the battle unfold on the Earth below. Both had solemn expressions.
Frieza's Ki was so overwhelming that not even Dende's divine perception could fully read its depth.
"After just a few months… to grow this powerful… it's unreal," Dende said with a bitter smile.
"Gohan and the others might not be able to defeat Frieza!" Mr. Popo said with concern, his expression unusually grim.
Dende smiled bitterly and added, "It's not just that they may not even be close. Frieza's power has grown beyond anything we expected."
"When are Goku and Vegeta returning?" Dende asked anxiously.
With Earth's two strongest warriors still missing in action, the planet now stood vulnerable its fate teetering on the brink of destruction. Who would protect it now?
"Hmm? What's going on? Why do you both look so serious?"
Just as Dende and Mr. Popo were lost in concern, a calm and curious voice came from behind.
Both of them turned in surprise to find Luya approaching from the entrance of the Room of Spirit and Time, walking leisurely with a relaxed smile on his face.
"You... Mr. Luya, have you finished your training already?" Dende asked in astonishment.
Luya gave a slight nod and smiled. "Yes. I figured that training too long can put too much stress on the body, so I decided to come out early."
Hearing that, Dende and Mr. Popo exchanged a brief glance. That line... it sounded oddly familiar, almost like something Goku had once said during his own hyperbolic training.
"Anyway," Luya asked, "what were you two talking about just now? You both seem tense."
Dende's eyes widened as he suddenly remembered. He straightened up and said solemnly, "Frieza... he's already arrived on Earth."
"What?! That fast?!" Luya was stunned. By Frieza's own words, he should've only completed four months of training. Yet he was already here?
However, Luya focused briefly his sharp senses caught it. That sinister, chilling Ki...
Frieza really had come early.
"I don't know how," Dende admitted. "According to our knowledge, he should still be in training, but now he's on Earth. Gohan and the others are engaging him as we speak!"
Hearing this, Luya's eyes narrowed. This development wasn't just unexpected it was dangerous. If Frieza had shown up early, then perhaps his training had been cut short. But even with that, his growth rate was extreme. Could his current power really already be over 8 billion?
Luya immediately asked inwardly: "System, can you scan Frieza's current combat power?"
System: "Unable to detect! Target is too far from host to initiate a combat scan."
Luya nodded thoughtfully, then replied aloud, "All right. Then I'll just have to go see him myself."
[Ding! System mission triggered: Defeat Frieza and save the Earth!]
The mechanical voice echoed in Luya's mind and his face instantly froze.
Defeat Frieza?! Are they serious?! Luya had no idea if he could even match Frieza's current power, let alone defeat him outright!
Isn't this Goku's job?!
Just as Luya was reeling from the mission prompt, Dende suddenly stepped forward and bowed deeply.
"Mr. Luya, please… I know it's asking a lot, but can we request your help? Gohan and the others are outmatched. I know it might sound desperate but we have no one else to turn to!"
Luya looked at Dende, then smiled warmly. "Don't worry. You're the Guardian of Earth—you don't need to be so formal with me. Besides, I used your Room of Spirit and Time. Consider this my repayment. I'll face Frieza personally."
With those words, Luya lifted a hand to his forehead and focused his two fingers pressed to his brow as he locked onto Frieza's unmistakable energy signature.
"Wait... that gesture...!" Dende and Mr. Popo gasped, eyes wide. The pose it was unmistakable.
Instant Transmission!
"I've found him," Luya said with a calm, determined look.
He turned to them with a wave. "Then, I'll be going. We'll talk again soon."
And with that
Fwoosh!
Luya vanished instantly, disappearing in a blink from the Lookout platform.
Dende and Mr. Popo remained frozen in place, stunned by what they had just witnessed.
That was just now... Instant Transmission!
