Chapter 1 - Trap Escape

D-Day

College, huh? I didn't think I'd reach this day. It's incredible how they can even make it to graduate school or go to school.

They tell me that they're proud of me. Hell no, I refuse. They should think of how proud of themselves they are for making it.

A guard in the distance waved his hand in front of his face, then he began, "Hey, you there, what are you standing here for!?"

...

"I don't understand what you're on, but you should go to your semester right now," the guard said irritably.

The student reached into his pocket, and it showed a pamphlet, a pen, and a booklet. He then started writing in his booklet and handed it over with the pen to the guard.

The booklet contains a message: 'Where is the auditorium located? New here.' The guard then began, "I'm very sorry; I didn't think the school started accepting people with disabilities." After it, the guard began writing in the student's booklet.

"Here!" said the guard whilst handing the card book with a pen. Receiving the note, the student hurriedly ran as he saw what was written inside the booklet.

"→↑↑→↓→ PS, I am very sorry, and you should hurry up. Guard, Junior." As he goes there, a huge line of people holding cameras is standing all over the hallway.

Sweating bullets, scared, and confused, he walks all over them to go to the auditorium and enters on a particular scene.

Guards, cameras, and students all over filled the auditorium. He saw a spot at the far back.

As soon as he sat at the far back, the person beside him began grumbling, "Tch!.... 1st day of college and they accept a politician's publicity stunt. How greedy is this school?"

A woman beside him began, "Shush!"

Irritated, he retaliated by asking, "What!?" The next thing that happens is that an old man, said to be running for mayor, enters the auditorium.

"WHAT, YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH ME?!" Despite the politician's appearance, he continued to grumble; he clenched his fist and punched the woman.

Guards started to gather, and it escalated as he pulled out a gun.

~flash~

A liquid water fell on his head. It woke him up in a dark place that, to him, felt like the inside of a box. He didn't know where he was and forgot about his name, yet he knew who he was.

Okay, what kind of prank is this? He started remembering the day his classmates trapped him inside a locker.

But it was no locker this time; he couldn't see holes. It felt like he was inside a concrete enclosure. He could not move, could not breathe properly, and could not see; he tiptoed his feet upward.

It started to rain; a loud barrage of rain hitting the ground filled his eardrum, and he unconsciously shouted, 'Ahhhhhh! It hurts!! '

Surprised, he started, 'I can talk again! The sound of his voice echoed around his ear.

'Agh! 'It echoed again. Feeling uncomfortable, he tried to swing his arm to his head to cover it but didn't make a move.

How can I talk? I can hear too, on top of that.

It took him a while to get used to the sound, as he endured the loud noise of the rain. Something moved behind his back that felt like a third leg, and it felt like it was a part of him.

He left, shrieking, 'A snake! 'Scared, he jumped and opened something with his head that felt like a lid, and it felt like he pushed something with his head.

Ugh, that hurts.

A glimpse of light shone in front of him. 'A glimmer! Thank goodness, I thought I was blind.'

The light of the moon refracts through the raindrop and shimmers.

In just a second, a wave of water funneled in, 'Bhmhh...blegh...hhm! 'It almost drowned him.

He pushed again with all his reserved energy; adrenaline was his luck here, shaking and hyperventilating. It opened, but water funneled inside the enclosure, and then he swam up, escaping the enclosure he was trapped in.

Lying down with his left cheek on the ground, he gasped for air. The water is shallow, reaching only his left eye.

Who the hell...? would do this...*huff*...to me... He then rolled to the right to lie down and noticed something unusual.

'Rain? How can it rain? 'There was no sign of clouds that could make it possible to rain; it just rained.

It looked like the moon was the one making it rain.

Quickly realizing that this isn't Earth, he stands up and sees a reflection of someone.

He perceived a woman with a tail in a white robe. 'A woman with a tail!?' Concerned, he began looking around and saw no one.

Confused, he looked again in the reflection and saw it again. 'A ghost! 'He ran and felt a weight behind him.

'Eeeek! 'He looked back and saw it, a tail that looked like it was connected to his loin. He ran, swaying his arms, which were as thin as twigs, and he felt the ground was wet and looked down to see that he didn't have a shoe on.

He stopped as suddenly the rain gathered in front of him.

'What the hell!? 'He said to himself in disbelief.

The rainwater compacts into a ball, and as it transforms into a ball of water, it then runs away in another direction, and he sees the ball of water blocking him.

'A spirit! 'As he shakes his head, the ball of water seems to follow his head.

~POP!~ It blew up into a panel or some sort. Jump-scared by the explosion, it revealed a text. He read the text out loud: 'Welcome, Transmigrator Ye Shin.' Transmigration? Ye Shin? Then that means I died? But how!?

Ye Shin, this name doesn't ring a bell for him, and he doesn't remember why, but he can't remember anything about his name!?

As he wondered in his thoughts, the panel rippled and revealed a text.

'A game stat! 'I transmigrated; this is the so-called cheat system.' But why now? If I transmigrated, it seems that I died, but how? I don't remember a single thing.

↓Maximize↓

'Wait, then that woman is me, and she's a he!? 'Bewildered by the reveal, he then takes a check to see if he has a junk.

Whoa, it's ***. Anyways, what is an RP? Ye Shin then pressed the ↓More↓ tab to see if it revealed more.

'It didn't work. How can I make it maximize? 'It gathered more water as it became a ball of water again.

~POP!~ He jumped again at the noise of the water blowing up; as it blew up, it grew bigger as it showed more details.

'A voice command? 'It showed more; my mana seems to deplete by the appearance of the water ball. It seems to summon the system. I need the Aqua Ball.

↑Minimize↑

'This is too much; minimize.' Why voice command all of a sudden? It's so unconventional for a system.

~Splash!~ Unsurprised, this time the panel reduced itself and made a splash.

MP: 07/10 It seems it does reduce the mana. What happens if my mana is reduced to zero?

He reminisces about the chilling and embarrassing day he tried to call out the system in his room. *Shiver* 'I don't care!' he then doubled down for an experiment.

Take 1: Double-check 'Maximize.' Mana points: 05/10. It does reduce the mana.

At Take 3, I started doubling the command for the 'Minimize' (MP:04/10). It didn't do anything.

Take 5: I did it too, 'Maximize.' Mana points: 02/10, but it didn't do anything.

Take 6, 'Minimize,' MP:01/10. Nothing particular about it.

Last take: 'Here we go, maximize.' Mana points: 00/10. Mind: 06/20.

'Huh? Did it just reduce my mind stat? He immediately did it again to confirm his hunch about it.

Last take 2, 'Minimize.' MP: 00/10, Mind: 05/20. The rain stops.

'It did reduce my mind.' In a horror RPG, when mind stats go to 0, it usually makes the player nauseous, lost in thought, or just the old plain thing: the HP deteriorates.

I should not test this; all outcomes take much worse, but hey, I didn't pass out. My mana drops down to 0.

He then felt a breeze of warm wind behind his back, especially on his neck. The cold breeze that he felt was followed by a sticky liquid splattering.

'Eek! *Shiver!* The hell! 'As soon as he turned back to see what had dripped and splattered at his neck.

At his back, a large creature with the face of a wolf, its neck is as tall as a giraffe, a body with the plumage of a peacock, the lower half of a lion, and wings twice the size of it, is staring daggers at him.

~Howl!~ 'Oh, hey! Nice to know you, Aqua Ball! 'Mind: 03/20 I'm about to die! Then started sprinting to anywhere but just not close to that abomination of a creature.

The water ball awkwardly floats towards the creature, and as it touches its feathers, it never blows up. In a sense, it didn't damage it. Somehow, watering its feathers made it fly terribly. It didn't hurt it but made it difficult for it to fly.

Moments later... It became apparent that all of a sudden, it was quiet. His stats: stamina dropped to two, and his mind to three.

The thought of the silence felt eerie to him, as it was so different from the chaos he had just escaped. He then slowed down his pace, as his heart pounded nonstop in his chest, he glanced back over his shoulder, expecting to see it looming close behind.

He caught sight of it, he was surprised by how far he was from it, and at the far distance, it flapped its wings but failing to take flight, to no avail. Breathing heavily, he laughs and says 'That's right.' as it just chooses to walk away from him.

Tired from the run-ins with the creature, he rested in an empty giant area of shallow waters. Shivering from fear, weary of something else coming up, and feeble, he just falls asleep unconsciously as he sits down on what feels like a puddle.

...

A silhouette of a tall figure stands in front, and with a voice that seems to be a man's, it begins to talk "Onyung Rmaset!" "Akew...Up!" Its silhouette gradually fades in, revealing a man's face.

He wore a blue, knee-length, full-sleeved tunic. He began "Young Master, wake up!" He seemed to be the kid's caretaker. He then took off his clothes a showed a torso-to-toe bandage. a he took it slowly, the young master grunted in pain.

He was just a kid, as soon as it all took off, the young master's body had scars all over, his skin shed all over in dandruff.

"Shhhh...It's okay, young master, it will be alright." The caretaker then washed his body with a cloth, the young master bravely withstood it all, then he stood up and spread his arms outward for the caretaker to dress him.

"The heavenly emperor summons you to come to the pavilion to discuss matters of great importance." Said the caretaker. He then wraps a bandage all over and dresses him.

He left his bedroom with his caretaker, the guards were waiting for him beside the door, and followed him to his destination.

As he walked out, the beautiful architecture of the surroundings felt like it was straight up taken out of history. The house, the garden, the door, etc..., look like and feel like a rich noble house in ancient China.
