I looked around at my friends, but only one caught my eye.
I tried to hold back my tears as I ran to my sister, Lilly.
> "Lilly!"
My unconscious sister—taken from me in my last life—lay there motionless. I stared at her face, trying to understand why I was back here.
> "Is my ability... regression?"
All my friends began to awaken from their unconscious state. All of them panicked, just like in my last life. I tried to calm my friends down as best I could. I pondered what we should do before evening came.
I gritted my teeth, remembering those damn monsters.
I began to make plans for survival in this dangerous forest—known as the Godfall Ancient Land, a place where mortals once faced the gods. That was all I knew of this land.
Time passed, and eventually, evening came.
And just like before, the demons and gods sensed it—the aura coming from my friends and sister.
I looked into the sky, feeling helpless and full of grief. I thought of the friends from my original life—how unprepared we were back then.
And I missed the friends I had made in the village before everything went wrong.
Before I could sink deeper into sorrow...
Six monstrous auras descended upon us.
It was them.
A fox woman came down first, appearing before me with my sleeping sister in her arms.
I greeted the fox lady in a strange way—you would think I had known her for years. She simply chuckled and said nothing. Then, without warning, she teleported away.
Before I knew it, my sister was out of my hands—and out of sight—with that fox woman.
I looked down and saw a ring left on my finger with a small note:
> "This is compensation for taking this talent away."
One by one, all my friends were taken away. I watched them disappear, powerless.
Then, as the last one descended, he took my best friend.
I screamed and cried, shouting at them to return my friends and my sister. But the last figure only looked at me with a strange, almost sympathetic expression.
And then... he threw me.
He knew there was a lake at the bottom of the cliff.
