"Mom, she is the one I am talking about!" A brown hair girl told the woman sitting next to her.
The woman looked at the girl's information on her iPad, she had a few hesitations about her daughter's earlier request, but seeing the excitement shimmering in her daughter's brown eyes, she agreed.
"Okay, princess you can leave now. I will handle the rest." She said with a doting tone.
The minute her daughter left the room, she moved to her seat, behind the office desk, brooding on the child who caught her daughter's eye.
While lost in thought her assistant walked in and called her out of her trance.
"Madam, the director of the orphanage is here." Her assistant informed her.
"Bring her in." She ordered in a cold voice ,different from the sweet voice she used when talking to her daughter.
"Good afternoon, President Su." The orphanage director greeted her.
President Su nodded in acknowledgment and gestured for her to seat down.
"I am aware my assistant has informed for the reason you have been called here…" She paused to see the reaction of the woman sitting in front while taken in her features.
The director was a 50 year old woman, plump in size, brown skinned, with an average height. Her black hair was tied in a bun. She had a kind look on her weathered face. Her black eyes held knowledge and experience within their depths.
The director nodded her head in agreement.
Gaining an answer, President Su continued her words.
"Then, I will like to ask few questions of the child in discussion. Can you give me a clear analysis about her attitude and character?" She asked the old lady in a respectful tone.
The old lady pulled a folder out of her bag and handed it to the woman and stated, "Yiyi is not one of a questionable character and is much more focused on her studies. She is kind hearted and has a cold attitude. She rarely socialise earning her only a one friend from school. The folder I just handed in contains all information about since her time in the orphanage to date."
"Thank you, can the adoption procedures be completed today?" Jiang Ling asked the old woman, Director Feng.
"It can be done today, as matter of fact, I brought Yiyi with me."Director Feng replied.
That moment Jiang Ling's assistant, Bai Ling spoke up.
"Miss Jiang, Miss Su has already met Miss Feng in the lounge room and go along quite well."
