"No!" Daphne's voice cracked through the tense silence. "That's not her!"
Confusion flashed across Caleb's face as he looked between his sister and me. "What do you mean, that's not her? She's Juliana Johnson."
"She's not the one who hurt me," Daphne insisted, straightening in her wheelchair. Her eyes, no longer timid, locked with mine. "She's the one who helped me."
I exhaled slowly, relief washing over me. But my mind was racing. If Daphne knew I'd helped her, why had Caleb been so certain I was the villain?
Caleb's brow furrowed. "Daphne, what are you talking about?"
"The clinic," Daphne explained, her voice gaining strength. "Dr. Johnson was kind to me. She took time to really listen about my pain. She diagnosed what three specialists missed." She turned to me, gratitude shining in her eyes. "You're the first doctor who believed me."
Caleb stood slowly, confusion morphing into embarrassment. "But you said a doctor at that clinic humiliated you. You were crying..."
