Chapter 11 - Archiverse character introduction

Seren description: Swordwoman style ⚔️

Summary of Seren Weavier:

Seren Weavier is a descendant of the legendary hero Allium Weavier, the greatest swordsman in history, famed for wielding a blade capable of cutting through both physical and spiritual matter. Like all members of the Weavier bloodline, Seren bears distinctive white snow-like hair and golden yellow irises, marks of her noble lineage.

Despite her powerful heritage, Seren humbly serves as a maid to Lord Neptis, the enigmatic and lazy water princess. Seren wears a modest yellowish maid outfit, reflecting both her devotion and quiet elegance. She is known for her stoic and serious demeanor, rarely showing emotion, but always focused and precise in her actions.

A highly skilled warrior in her own right, Seren has developed a unique combat style—Wind Technique fused with time-stop motion and illusions, allowing her to outmaneuver enemies with grace, speed, and deceptive elegance. Her presence is often described as ethereal and composed, and many regard her as quietly beautiful, her appearance and discipline earning admiration from those around her.

Scene: Seren Serves Lord Neptis

The gentle hush of flowing water echoed faintly throughout the marble chamber—soft, soothing, like the distant sigh of a calm sea. Curtains of pale blue silk drifted with the breeze, and glowing droplets of condensation floated weightlessly in the air, as if even gravity had grown drowsy in the presence of the room's master.

Lord Neptis, the Water Princess, lounged across a long, crescent-shaped couch of velvet and misted glass. Her long ocean-blue hair cascaded down like a waterfall, draped lazily over one shoulder. Dressed in black, provocative silks, the kind that defied formality yet commanded attention, Neptis held open a thick Gothic novel, its edges tattered and pages inked with shadows—a gift from Viola Hollyhock, the Princess of Darkness.

Neptis turned a page with deliberate sluggishness. Her golden eyes, half-lidded and unbothered, scanned the words like waves brushing against a shore. A small, amused breath left her lips.

"So dramatic… she always writes like the world is ending," she muttered, voice soaked in disinterest and sleepiness.

The sound of precise footsteps echoed gently on the watery floor.

Seren Weavier entered, her steps light yet unhesitating. Dressed in her signature yellowish maid uniform, every fold immaculately kept, she moved like a breeze through a still forest. Her white snow-like hair shimmered faintly beneath the crystal chandeliers, and her golden irises gleamed with quiet resolve.

She came to a halt a few feet before Neptis, bowed with perfect posture, hands clasped before her.

"My lady Neptis. Your afternoon tea."

Neptis didn't glance up at first. She made a small noise, somewhere between a sigh and a hum.

"Tea…? Mmm. Did you steep it with jasmine or illusion today?"

Seren remained expressionless.

"Both, my lady. Jasmine for calmness. Illusion for your preferred haze."

Only then did Neptis lazily tilt her gaze toward her loyal maid. A smirk tugged faintly at her lips.

"Perfect. You always know what I need before I even mutter it." She slowly placed her book face-down on her stomach. "What would I do without my little wind ghost?"

Seren silently stepped forward, placing a silver tray on the floating table beside the couch. On it, a delicate teacup shimmered faintly—its contents swirling with a soft mist, not entirely of this world.

"Likely remain unbothered and unchanged, my lady," Seren replied, her voice quiet, calm, and dry as a breeze through hollow trees.

Neptis chuckled—just once, lazily—and reached for the cup with an outstretched hand.

"Still serious as ever… Pretty and sharp. Like a dagger in a flower vase."

Seren bowed again. "Thank you, my lady."

With that, she turned and began to step back—vanishing as lightly as she had come, the air behind her rippling faintly, as though the wind itself had stepped away.

Neptis sipped the tea, sighing.

"Mm… always perfect." She glanced at her novel, then the empty space Seren left behind.

"She doesn't realize she's the real story worth reading."

Scene: Seren vs. Finian — Duel in the Hollow Forest

The Hollow Forest whispered with ancient winds, its twisted trees arching like solemn spectators. Pale light filtered through the fog-veiled canopy, casting long, flickering shadows upon the moss-covered ground. The air itself seemed to hold its breath.

At the heart of a natural clearing stood Seren Weavier, unshaken. Her white snow-hair danced gently in the breeze, her golden eyes calm and sharp. One gloved hand rested lightly on the hilt of her elegant longsword, White Flower, its ornate petals etched into the pale steel. She stood as if sculpted from silence itself.

Across from her, Finian, a proud and brash warrior clad in worn steel, twirled his heavy broadsword with a confident grin. His muscles were tense, his breath hot with adrenaline. Moments ago, he had spoken out of turn—mocking Lord Neptis in her own domain. But Neptis, lounging nearby on a conjured water-cushion, merely watched with arms crossed and a glint of boredom in her eye.

"Try not to blink," Finian smirked, eyes locked on Seren. "Wouldn't want your pretty head taken off before you realize it."

Seren did not answer. She didn't even blink.

Then—Finian lunged.

A roar of steel meeting steel echoed through the forest—but not the kind Finian expected.

His strike, bold and forceful, was met with a clean, graceful parry. Seren had already moved, her blade White Flower intercepting the blow as if she had been waiting a lifetime for it. Her eyes did not flicker, her breath did not change.

Finian recoiled, stepping back and swinging again—faster this time.

But he hit nothing.

Seren was gone.

Then—a cold presence at his back.

Finian froze. Seren stood behind him, her back gently pressing against his, her sword still sheathed. The leaves rustled softly.

Then—crack.

The ground directly beneath Finian split apart in jagged silence, a precise rupture spiraling beneath his boots. The hollow forest groaned.

"Wh—!" Finian gasped, his footing lost.

Only the emergency marble orb strapped to his belt saved him—glowing bright and shattering as it activated. In a blink of light, he was teleported out, appearing several feet away in a pile of startled breaths.

When he looked back, Seren still hadn't drawn her blade.

She turned her head slightly toward him, the mist curling around her form like a ghost.

"You should be better next time, Finian." Her voice was soft, but final. "Next time, words carry weight."

Finian looked away, sweat tracing his temple. He said nothing.

Neptis, still lounging, gave a half-clap with one hand. "Well, that was satisfying."

Seren returned to her calm stance, as though the wind had merely passed. She walked silently back toward Neptis, each step melting into the forest like a falling petal.

Finian was humbled.

And the forest remembered.
